For example: asking for extra water and asking for take the luggage
I stay here for 7 nights. The restaurant can’t handle my breakfast issue well. When I go out to take foods, the card turned to black side, that means “occupied”. But they still clear my table, also take away my card for telling them if I am still here. That means they treat me as already left. When I come back, I asked them to change me to another table for two to avoid misunderstandings, one staff told me that he will clean the table for me but he forget it. After take away the card for telling them if I still occupied the table, no one give me back. I asked one of the staff give me back but he simply requested me to ask other staff to do it. Later, they cleared my table again because there is no card. A lot of mistakes. If charge this price, service is fail.
The food is generally good. Good position and can appreciate Efital tower every night.
First of all, the location is excellent. It’s less than a 10-minute walk from the Arc de Triomphe and the Champs-Élysées, and it’s well-connected by both metro and RER. Whether you’re planning to explore the city or heading out for day trips, getting around from here is a breeze. It’s also right next to the Palais des Congrès, so I imagine it’s a great option for business travelers as well.
But the real magic of this hotel lies in its views. When I checked in, I politely asked if it was possible to get a room on a higher floor—and I was lucky enough to be given a room with a view of the Eiffel Tower. As soon as I walked in and saw that iconic silhouette framed perfectly by the floor-to-ceiling window, I was speechless. During the day, it was stunning. At night, it became something truly special, with twinkling lights illuminating the tower and casting a warm glow over the city. I found myself sitting quietly by the window, just taking it all in. It felt like Paris was unfolding just for me.
The room itself was sleek, modern, and very comfortable. It wasn’t overly spacious, but it was perfectly arranged with thoughtful details—an incredibly cozy bed, a great coffee machine, high-quality toiletries, and excellent lighting. Everything was clean and well-maintained, making it easy to relax after a long day of exploring the city.
Breakfast was served on the 34th floor, and it was an experience in itself. The panoramic views over Paris were breathtaking. Sitting there with a warm croissant and coffee while watching the city wake up beneath me was one of the most peaceful moments of the trip. The breakfast spread was varied and delicious, and the staff were kind and attentive without being overbearing.
What stood out most about this hotel, though, was the quiet warmth of the service. The staff had that classic French elegance—discreet but welcoming, helpful without being intrusive. Even the housekeeping staff were thoughtful, and when I checked out, the front desk staff asked how my stay had been with such genuine interest that I found myself smiling for the rest of the day.
To me, the Hyatt Regency Paris Étoile wasn’t just a hotel. It felt like a window into the heart of Paris—a place to quietly take in the beauty of the city, to rest, to breathe. It offered a sense of stillness and perspective, even in a city as lively and vibrant as Paris.
If I return to Paris—and I certainly hope I will—I already know I’ll be coming back here. No other reason needed, really, other than that one unforgettable evening, sipping wine by the window, watching the Eiffel Tower shimmer in the dark. That moment alone was worth the entire trip.
Two things worth mentioning is that:
1) Their hot water system may have some problem, when you are taking a shower, the water just cycling between hot and cold endlessly.
2) Their Intelligent Elevator System seems too complicated. After you key in your floor at the lobby it will assign a lift to you. However, sometimes the lift didn't come or we have to wait in the lift for quite some time before it moves.
We checked in, even though room pre paid , hotel asked for a cash deposit of Euro 250. We happily obliged Once our taxi pulled up in the driveway, we needed help with our heavy suitcases. There was 2 employees standing around , talking and laughing amongst themselves. In the end I had to approach to get help.
We checked in, even though room pre paid , hotel asked for a deposit of euro 250. We happily obliged. I even inquired if it was ok to charge something for. mayo. Answer: no problem .
The next morning bought a couple of croissant to be told , I was not allowed to charge to my room. I was quite embarrassed. Luckily, I had cash in my pocket.
I asked reception for an explanation and received 3 different ones over the next 24 hours. Basically the gist is that Euro 250, is not enough to cover the purchase of a couple of croissant. Had they asked for more deposit, I would have happily obliged.
Upon entering the room, we noticed the safe was locked since previous guest, so we had to call security.
At night, still suffering from jet lag, we woke up in the middle of the night and decided to make a cup of tea. Unfortunately, tea had not been replenished since previous guest.
I decided instead to read in bed, this is when I noticed the bed lamp heavily covered in dust.
Spoke to a manager upon check out, but not convinced with his excuses.

This is our 6th stay, the last one being last July
Not sure what happened since our last stay, but the service has dropped to what is now an unacceptably low level. It seems the ( very large) hotels focus on quantity at the expense of quality .
What a shame…
