Reviews
The rooms were clean and spacious; however, sound insulation seemed to be an issue as I could occasionally hear toilets flushing in adjacent rooms. One major drawback was the mini fridge, which unfortunately did not function properly—it felt more like a microwave.
Breakfast was available at an additional charge, but I found it underwhelming due to limited options. The WiFi connection was also unreliable, forcing me to rely on cellular data at times.
The building itself appears to be older, which could explain the extremely small elevator. While understandable, it was still slightly inconvenient. Another aspect that detracted from the experience was the requirement to leave the room key at the front desk every time we exited the hotel—a policy that felt outdated and inconvenient.
After discovering other nearby hotels with rooftop amenities and similar pricing, I would likely consider alternative accommodations in the future. While the stay was acceptable overall, the value for the price paid did not meet expectations.
1. The room is so small that you can't move around at all. The bathroom is so small that you can't even turn around. It's so shocking. I've encountered very small ones, but I've never seen a bathroom that you can't turn around in. It's no exaggeration. The washbasin is only as big as my two hands. The sink is too small to hold toiletries, so it's easy for them to fall to the ground. The wind speed of the hair dryer is almost non-exaggerated.
2. His elevator is so small that only one person can fit one box, while normally two people can fit two boxes.
3. The room door is locked with a key. What's more exaggerated is that there is a brand as big as a mobile phone on the key. Every time you go out, you have to return the key to the front desk before you can go out, and then ask them for it when you come back. I'm really drunk. Is this a prison?
4. The attitude when checking in was very unfriendly. I checked in at 10pm and asked what time I would check out the next day. The next morning I came down at 7:50 and gave the key to the front desk. She asked me if there was anyone else in the room, how many people, whether they were sleeping or needed to go out. God, this really is a prison.
5. When we checked in and paid taxes, we used a credit card, but he asked for cash in a very unfriendly way. He stared at us with big eyes and said cash was necessary. His expression was very unfriendly. Later, he kept asking us if we wanted breakfast, and we answered no many times. After having a meal, I came back to ask for the key and was asked twice if I wanted to have breakfast. It was 7.5 euros per person. With this kind of service, I had no interest in eating.
6. You have to climb stairs after entering the door and then the front desk. The room we were given cannot be reached by the elevator, so you have to climb a long narrow spiral staircase. We had two 26-inch suitcases and it was difficult for us to move. The staircase was only wide enough for one person, and we were not fat. Finally, I asked to change the room, which was one level lower than what I originally booked. They didn't offer to refund me, nor did they say sorry.
To sum up, the cost-effectiveness is 0. It's not as good as in the pictures. There are many hotels nearby, and it's very convenient to the subway station and airport bus. There's really no need to make do with this place.
The location is great as it is very central and you can easily walk around.
Additionally, there is a nice roof top with a direct view on the Acropolis.
The WiFi connexion is very slow. Also, by the time I'm writing this review, there is construction work just in front of the hotel that start early in the morning. Even though it’s not the responsibility of the hotel, I wish I would have been informed before.
Overall satisfied.
Location is really good. The hotel itself is small, but it is few steps from the Syntagma square. There is subway there (direct line to the airport, btw) plus many historical sites around.
Price is reasonable.
