Hermes Hotel

I'm so positively surprised about how great everything was in this hotel! The location is unbeatable, right in the center of everything with great views from the room but also from the terrace where you have a panoramic view of Athens and a super close view of Parthenon!
The staff are so kind and friendly, I couldn't ask for a smoother and friendlier stay.
The room and bathroom have enough space, best size for two. the balcony is lovely and the bed was very comfortable. Everything was absolutely lovely, this will be my go-to hotel in Athens. Thank you!

Worth the stay for the location alone, a wonderful modestly priced hotel with good sized rooms.

Buffet breakfast has great selection, and the rooftop bar/restaurant has unbeatable views. Definitely will be back!

Smallish rooms are clean, modern, & functional. Two small (4 person) lifts gave easy access to all floors.
Each room has a mini split AC \ heat unit for individual climate control.
Centrally located, we walked to all of the main sights.
The breakfast had Greek options as well as the usual European array of breads, cheeses, spreads, cold cereals, & self serve espresso machine. There was nothing cooked to order.

I thought the hotel was a good value.

The rooftop bar-bistro, recently rebranded as the "Door at Athens", has a full bar & a select food menu. We ate there twice & found the food of adequate portions and nicely savory. Coupled with the stunning night view of the Acropolis, it's a great place!

This hotel was brilliantly placed for restaurants, shops, acropolis and agora. The facilities are clean and all work, the breakfast is also fabulous. To top it off, the staff are fantastic, friendly, helpful and fun.
The view from the roof garden is amazing.

Very good hotel in an amazing location. Nothing fancy, just a really great hotel with brilliant breakfast.

Most of the main attractions are walkable, and lots of shops and restaurants nearby.

Icing on the cake is the view of the Acropolis from the rooftop bar.

A fantastic hotel right in the heart of Athens. We stayed for 3 nights. Breakfast selection was excellent including gluten free options for me and we had a superb dinner one night in the restaurant on the roof. The view of the city and the acropolis is amazing. All the staff were so friendly and helpful. Definitely worth a visit.

I gave it 5 stars for the value of money. It really met the qualifications of a 3 star hotel. My room had a shower and bath tub. Be aware that the restaurant does not have view of Acropolis. But it was nice. The location of hotel is very good close to every where.

Honestly do not think I could have enjoyed our stay more. Staff were helpful immediately when wanting to book a taxi for 6am for our check out, there was a lovely lady who would float around at breakfast and answer any question you had about your travels for the day or booking things. Shower was a good size for what you can find in Greece, had a balcony with a great view of the Acropolis! Loved it, would stay again, do think it needs a modern touch up but great location, bed was comfortable overall no complaints!

Can't think of a better location; fantastic view of the Acropolis from our room, only bettered by the upstairs terrace view. Rooms very comfortable, staff friendly. An oasis of calm in the bustling city. Recommended!

Plaka Hotel was the best hotel my parents and I stayed during our Europe trip. We traveled in Rome, Switzerland and Paris and stayed in hotels but this was the best in everything - price, location, service and the room. It's only one train ride away from the airport but the train can get really crowded. It's walking distance to the Acropolis with lots of restaurants, stores and groceries around the hotel. Breakfast was superb and the bar at the rooftop really had good views of Athens and the Acropolis especially at night.
