This is “the other category”- not even close to be a spectacular 5 stars.
Location. We decided to walk on the first day and all that we passed in 30 minutes to walk to city center were 5 or 6 sex shops, a couple strip clubs and bunch of car/ motorcycle repair or sale shops.
Traffic is crazy and not too many road crossings .
Yes, there is a shuttle at hotel, but very small and there is no guarantee that everyone has space in (12 seater?).
No bell service, and some people at the reception not too excited to see you.
As soon we got to the room we realised that the sink is not draining- we called maintenance to fix it. (which was pretty fast).
Not comfortable beds at all but the pillows are even worse.
The gym is an ok- 2 out 3 treadmills in working conditions.
Rooms are an ok- nothing special, looks tired. There is coffee maker but only limited amount of the pods per room per day ( I was told by receptionist that if I need more then I have to pay for extra pods(!). And only way to request an extras for a day- to call to reception.How bazaar?
Over all- pretty sad- not to Hyatt standards.
The location was unbeatable! Just a short walk to the Acropolis, with a stunning view from the rooftop terrace. 🌅 The Christmas dinner was absolutely delicious, with a wide variety of traditional Greek dishes and festive treats. 🍽️🎄 The atmosphere was warm and inviting, perfect for celebrating the holiday season. ❤️
Overall, I highly recommend this hotel for a magical Christmas getaway in Athens! 🎅🎁
