The Athens Gate Hotel is situated 200 meters from the new Acropolis museum. It is opposite the Temple of Olympian Zeus and on the doorstep of the historical Plaka area.

The location was unbeatable! Just a short walk to the Acropolis, with a stunning view from the rooftop terrace. 🌅 The Christmas dinner was absolutely delicious, with a wide variety of traditional Greek dishes and festive treats. 🍽️🎄 The atmosphere was warm and inviting, perfect for celebrating the holiday season. ❤️

The staff were very friendly both at the front desk and up in the restaurant for breakfast and dinner. The food that was served was fresh, hot, and delicious! Breakfast has a lovely variety of options of hot and cold food options.
The room was spacious, clean, and well looked after. Good sized bathroom with a shower and amenities.
Our only issue with this hotel is that the heating came on without being able to turn it off, and that made the room too hot to sleep in, so it made out the final few nights a little uncomfortable.
The hotel is also within a 5 minute walk of the Acropolis and Acropolis museum, along with many shops and restaurants. we will definitely return next time we are in Athens. Thank you for a lovely stay!
The staff is amazing. One of our group was missing luggage, so we congregated on the rooftop bar to commiserate, and after some beer and ouzo and amazing views of the Acropolis, all our worries were far away.
I can't say enough how wonderful and accommodating the staff is. (I would say 5 stars ++)
Breakfast was delicious with a wide range of options. Eaten in the rooftop patio...again, what a view!
Perfectly located for exploring. The Acropolis is near as is the Parliament, shops and other landmarks.
