The service, location, and ambience were perfect. They made us feel extremely welcome. However, we were slightly disappointed in the food. Everything was good and well plated, but the flavour profiles felt muted and no dish particularly stood out. For a Michelin star restaurant at the price point, the food was a bit underwhelming. I am still very grateful for the experience and had a lovely time

My friend recommended Zillers to me, and it did not disappoint!
The concierge was sweet, kind, and attentive (Cristina and Theodore! & others I didn’t get their names).
The rooms are cozy and have everything you need in them after a long day of traveling.
Oh! And the breakfast on the rooftop - you have to have one of Angela’s cappuccinos and the seasonal pie.
The location is great! You can see the acropolis from many rooms, and the walk to it is like 15min. Aside from the acropolis there’s many great sites, cafes, restaurants, etc within a short walk. I really can’t wait to come back, as I didn’t want to leave! Efaristo poli!

I am having trouble rating this Michelin star restaurant. Tried others in Europe and Asia. Obviously, the chef put a lot of effort to build his menu. Took the most expensive one at 125 euros. Unfortunately, didn't like the "salted" courses at all. Couldn't find myself appreciating the mix of flavors. Maybe it's just too different from what I am used to. On the contrary, I found the desserts well balanced. The staff was nice and explained every dishes. The view is also top. Having your meal facing the akropolis at night is breathtaking.

Zillers offered exquisite food in an exceptional setting, but the service was for the most part sloppy and apathetic. We were seated at an unset table (though I'd booked a month before), and were left without an offer of a drink nor even water for 15 minutes while we watched the staff fussing about, clearing uneaten petit fours and empty glasses from neighbouring tables. We weren't offered menus (nor to order an initial drink) until 25 minutes after being seated. Throughout the meal, we had to ask repeatedly for our empty wine glasses to be refilled (sitting empty for about ten minutes), while we saw the floorstaff clustered around the pass or bar chatting, again and again. Eventually we went to to them at the bar and suggested they left our wine on the table so at least we could serve ourselves.
Just one waiter who explained each dish was sweet and obliging, the rest of the team was sadly the opposite.
As noted: we loved the food. The setting is phenomenal. It is such a shame that the front-of-house team seems to be poorly managed and to take so little pleasure in doing their jobs.
I'm accustomed to far better service in more relaxed establishments in Athens, even with far fewer waitstaff on the floor. This was unbelievably disappointing.

An excellent restaurant with a wonderful view and attentive staff. The set menu (we took the second option) was a fantastic experience overall, beautifully presented, but perhaps missed that one truly standout memorable dish. The flavours throughout were delicate, subtle and expertly balanced; but only a couple made a lasting impact. The wine list is good but overpriced. Still, the evening felt like a journey, the cuisine is certainly on another level, the perfect place to celebrate a special occasion.

We started our trip to Greece in May 2024 in Athens and stayed at this wonderful hotel which is located in the Plaka neighborhood walking through all the history that the Plaka has to offer. The room had elements of the past mingled with the present. Our room had a view of the Acropolis. The hotel is within walking distance of all the major attractions, restaurants and shopping. Breakfast was included at the rooftop restaurant gazing at the Acropolis. The breakfast was excellent and plentiful. Whenever we asked for something the answer was "of course". The staff were very helpful in offering suggestions and arranged our transport to the airport where we picked up our rental to continue our adventure. We had a fantastic stay/

Very Nice restaurant and cuisine. We had a wonderful dinner and will recommend it to others. Though when the bill arrived we were told that the service was « not included » and I believe it is scandalous for such a hype to not offer decent salary to the waiters. Would prefer that waiters are paid correctly.

We recently dined here for our 20th year anniversary. We had the full 14 course tasting menu. It was a spectacular meal that was totally perfect. The precision needed to time the whole experience so that we did not wait between courses was incredible.
The staff were very friendly but not overly so. Each dish was presented flawlessly and explained beautifully. The care that went into each dish was obvious and the flavours we really interesting and delicious.
After the meal, we then had a lovely conversation with the sous chef who was standing by the entrance as we left in case we had any questions. He happily answered all of our questions and was obviously in love with his art of cooking. He genuinely wanted to understand our experience and talked with passion about the experience created.
On top of all this the view of the Acropolis whilst eating was just out of this world. I would definitely recommend The Zillers. Thank you so much for looking after us!

This place has an amazing view!
We had dinner with the view of Acropolis in different hues of blue and orange as the sun sets
The food was amazing, waiter/waitress was knowledgeable about the products sourced
We were also able to strike up a conversation learning what other local restaurants they would recommend for traditional greek food
The whole experience was very pleasant!

Service was ok - they forgot I said no onion no garlic . . Few times
Out of the 10-12 dishes 3 were excellent 9/10
2 could have been good but were soaking in salt !
So salty we had to drink water right after .
The rest were not good at all
I would not bather to go . .
You could get this view in few roof top bars on the area .
