Athens Ivy Suites in Athens

We loved this small boutique hotel. The front desk staff were excellent and helped us with laundry, directions and breakfast to go. The restaurant was beautiful and breakfast was included. The room was clean and we loved the balcony and huge shower. The bed was comfy and we used the bar fridge which was restocked daily. We always felt safe. This hotel is steps from all sights and everything you need in Athens. We would return and highly recommend.

We stayed in this hotel for a week commencing on 22 October 2025. Our suite was on one of the upper floors with a balcony facing the Acropolis, offering superb views of this monument 24/7.
The suite itself is spacious, but of the slightly older style, and minor improvements could have enhanced its attractiveness. However it is comfortable and a pleasant place to come back to after a day of touring. And importantly, it is centrally located at Plaka within easy walking distance to most major attractions such as the Acropolis, Agora, Parliamant House etc etc, and surrounded by shops and restaurans of all kinds.
A special shout-out is to Eve who managed the reception desk the whole time we were there. Nothing is too much porblem for her, and she is always patient with whatever we have to say, no matter how trivial. We understand that she has completed a hotel management course; and we are confident that, in the course of her carrer, she will represent the Athens hospitality industry with distiction!

We had the room on the top floor, which had spectacular views, was comfortable, quiet, the only downside was the restricted AC, but that was because of the time of year.
Breakfast were not just standard continental fare, and huge, but if you just wanted a croissant they did that also.

We stayed as a couple for two nights and had a wonderful experience.
The hotel is in an excellent location, the service was impeccable, and the breakfast at the nearby café was fresh, delicious, and truly outstanding.

The only downside was that the air conditioning system couldn’t be switched from heating to cooling — during our stay, it was set to heat, and the room felt a bit warm at times.
Other than that, everything was absolutely great, and we would definitely stay here again!

The Athens Ivy Suites is an excellent hotel located within a prime section of the city. The rooms are very comfortable and the staff is excellent in making you feel at home. At the top of that list is Eva. She greeted us upon arrival and checkout as well as made sure along with several others that we were properly looked after. However, Eva was extraordinary and beyond personable. She is a true asset to that team and a critical component for the guest relations side of the house. Kudos to her and the entire staff.

10/10. We loved our stay at Athens Ivy and look forward to returning after we finish visiting islands. Reception is so kind and helpful. The rooms are lovely, and the bed is incredibly comfortable. The location doesn't get better if you want to be near restaurants/shops and within walking distance of acropolis!

The hotel is located on a small street with no traffic and is relatively quiet. The area is very lively and you can find whatever you want to eat. It is close to the main street and the subway, and has convenient transportation.

The bathroom in the room is large and has all the necessary facilities. The view from the terrace is basically the street view, and you can't see further.

Breakfast is in a joint restaurant downstairs, and the quality is good.

The location of the hotel is great. A lot of tourism spots are within walking distance. The service is also very nice. They start to serve breakfast at 8am and the food is good.

Extraordinary boutique hotel with beautiful rooms, cleaned and appointed to the very very highest standard. Amazing breakfast in the Cafe attached to the hotel. Perfect location for downtown Athens. Just wow!
