Another fabulous stay at Black Sands. A family run establishment, with great staff supporting them. Pool and bar area spotless, house keeping carried out every day and the location is minutes from the beach

Have been twice but not for a few years now, hoping to go again. Mantha was always on the go, very welcoming and the staff were great. Terrific atmosphere and not too far from the beach. Very relaxing holiday.

Staff were friendly, clean rooms, the pool made it even better. Perfect location with plenty restaurants and bars nearby, as well as bike and car rentals to get around the island

The pool area was lovely, sun loungers always available. The staff on reception were incredibly helpful and lovely people. Maria at the bar made the best cocktails

The location is ideal - very close to the beachfront but away from the busy boardwalk. There is also a bus stop nearby, which is ideal for exploring the rest of the island. We will definitely stay at Selini hotel again

Very well located, in front of the beach. It is not far from the airport. They helped us with any request. I would have liked the TV to have access to the internet or Netflix

Price/value is very great! Simple but clean Hotel in a perfect location.

With large pool, sunbeds, pool bar of course and wifi all over the area. The rooms aren´t perfect but they are more than satisfying for the time of your stay

The housekeeping was also decent, new towels every day, cleaning, moping the floor, anything you need and you dont have to ask for it

The owner - Elijah - is very nice, friendly and helpful, he speaks fluent English and German. What we really loved was breakfast. Bacon, eggs, sausages, cereals, fruit and vegetable salads, sweets etc

We were just two but there were also families with little kids (cca from 6 months and older) and it is very comfortable for older people as well. (wheelchair is not a problem, there is low-floor access)

What to say about this place and not to exaggerate. This place is the gem! It's a small 30 rooms family hotel. The breakfast is great(they really try). Hotel is less then 5 min to the beach. People are so plesent and nice

Complimentary breakfast is great - includes many options for a vegetarian - Greek Salads, fresh fruits, fruit juice, coffee, breads, sandwiches, corn flakes, chocos, cheese, etc. View from the balcony is very nice

Great hotel, rooms a bit small but the location, pool area and service from this hotel was outstanding! Breakfast more than sufficient a d the poll bar and food were outstanding.

The hotel has a lovely pool that lies in a cosy inner garden. Palm trees, flowers, natural shade (difficult to find on the island!)

The Not-So-Good: Unfortunately, there were several areas that needed improvement. The pools were okay – the water appeared green and murky, and the surrounding tiles looked neglected and in need of a deep clean

Other Notes: The pool bar is run by a genuinely friendly guy who makes an effort to connect with guests, which is a highlight. However, the drink prices are quite steep (€6 for a beer, €10 for a cocktail)

There is a minimart just five minutes away with much better value, and while you're allowed to bring your own drinks to the pool, it felt like this wasn’t particularly welcomed

The poolside toilets, although plentiful, are located underground behind a damaged door

Iys around 10 minutes from the airport in a taxi that will set you back between €30 and €40. That said, it's only about 10–15 minutes on foot away from the lively Kamari beachfront, which is convenient

So if you plan on sleeping in, expect to be woken up. Our room was cleaned at around 9. 30 GMT) there is no 'do not disturb' marker for the doors - this would go along way

The family that run it make this 6 star in my opinion. Such lovely people and even the cleaners would meet you with a smile and a "good morning" - it felt perfect. The pools and recent work ARE 5 star

This is great hotel very close to all services and attractions but still well maintained, nice and relaxing. Staff is great. Goos swimming pool area. Perfect camp base to visit the island. We loved staying here.

We are staying here a couple, a toddler and a baby. The hotel is new and perfectly maintained 2. We got upgraded to junior suite 5. Pool has shade most of the day 7

Our flight was late at evening, the hotel hosting us with pleasure in the pool and suggested to have a shower before leaving to airport

We stayed at hippocampus from 9th to 16th if July. The rooms and the whole structure are delicious. Position is perfect work, in the best part of Kamari. We felt like home with our hosts being so kind all the time.

As others have said - the receptionist could not do more for you. 2-3 min walk to the beach and restaurants, supermarkets and an array of bars, airport pickups and an ample and well stocked buffet breakfast

this hotel was the most pleasurable of all!! Location is perfect, I think the beach is the best on the island, and I can’t say enough about the hotel! Martha was the most gracious host we’ve ever had! She offered cooked to order breakfast and homemade bread and jelly

Stuff is super professional and gentle. The place is in a very good spot of the village Kamari verybclose to the beach, restaurants, shops. The whole place is very clean and breakfast is just fantastic!

The breakfast is very good and healthy, they serv homemade gem and cake. The garden is marvelous (haven’t seen anything like this on the entire island), new pool and nice roof garden

Had a very nice stay in the hotel, its located in Kamari, 3-5 min walk to the beach where you have many places to choose to stay and eat, the bus station is also close, nice and clean rooms, nice and help-full personnel

Nice personal that give you a great vacation, they even bring you iced coffee at the pool

We had a wonderful vacation at Andreas. It was not only about the clean room and the good breakfast, but also the warm atmosphere and, of course, the beautiful yard, where having breakfast felt truly special

Spacious clean with old charm. Staff were very helpful and cared for us. WIFI signal in our room was very weak. Used WIFI at table outside room.

They couldn't do enough for us, especially the manager, she sat with us and discussed all trips available and told us about the island. The rooms are basic but cleaned everyday that we were here

Heavy extra blanket given as the temp dropped slightly one or two nights. Really well placed, close to bars and bus stops and is on the beach

I was suprised to have a small kitchen in the room so I was able to make myself coffee in the room. They give you beach towels and beach bag so you don't have to carry your own

I had an amazing time at Sigalas hotel, the food was excellent, the service was even better. People at the hotel are super kind. It's right on the beach, it takes 1 minute from the room to the beach

It's definitely more than I expected. The location is perfect, the hotel staff very friendly, open and caring. The sound of the sea puts you in a state of relaxation from the very beginning

You get a lot of hotel amenities such as sleeping mask, ear plugs (because of the aiplanes), sewing kit, hair comb, toothbrushes, body lotion, shampoo. I highy recommend staying there ❤️

Since it's the first hotel from the airport, there aren't other people on the beach except hotels guest, so I felt save to leave my stuff on deck chair while I was swimming

We particularly liked the poolside facilities and bartender Christopher provided top class service

Me and my husband had a fantastic honeymoon staying at hotel 28! The staff are so considerate and don't let you lift a finger whilst you're staying with them

The main resort where all the restaurants are is a 5-10 minute walk and there's plenty of choice for breakfast, lunch, snacks and dinner, as well as shops and supermarkets

You are around 5/10 minute walk from the centre of Kamari and the beautiful beaches, but if you want to stay in the hotel, the pool is amazing and the cocktails even better! The rooms are great with a great view from the balcony and they are cleaned daily

I don't know which is better, the hotel or people working there! So clean and cute, def deserves more than 3 stars. People are so polite, friendly and helpful, I literally felt like home❤️

Nice pool which was very clean, staff where very helpful and able to give lots of advice if required 5 minutes stroll from the beach. There's a small menu available for poolside snacks and a poolside bar

The pool and common areas of the hotel are great the the staff are extremely helpful and does evetyhing to make you feel at home. The hotel itself is quite small to eveything has a nice intimate feeling

The staff even washed our lunch boxes from the yesterday. The swimingpool is located at hotel Avra, close to hotel Avraki. Hotel Avraki is a smal, nice and cozy hotel for those who want quiet around them

Everything was perfect: location, room, pool, staff.

It is a smaller buffet who include the most important for a good start of the day. The cleaning of the room is very good. Towels and bed linen are changed every day

This hotel is a little gem, set back from the main strip so none of the noise yet only a minutes walk away, the rooms are clean and comfy, but the main attraction are the staff, Maria and Tania were excellent, we were met with a warm welcome everytime we saw them, if we needed anything they helped out, by far some of the nicest people we've ever met

The perfect location for visit the entire island, super close to Kamari beach and the airport (flights are not too many so the noise it wasn’t a real problem). The room is in mint condition, very clean and fully equipped

It’s the first time that I am in an hostel where it is this clean. They clean the room everyday, they change the towels everyday, they change the bed sheets everyday

Had a nice stay with my mother at the Horizon Resort. We enjoyed both Greek breakfast and service. The stuff at the hotel was polite and friendly, open to do their best to make our stay pleasant

The resort is in a perfect location to visit the island from, and is only a short walk away from the beautiful beach of Kamari. It offers good rooms, a very nice pool and proper breakfast

This was my second time staying at the Horizon Resort, and I’m glad that we chose to come back here after 4 years

We travelled with Wingbuddy as our provider. Horizon Resort is located away from the beach and main hotel area, about a 15 minute walk. There is a nice pool area out front of the hotel and loungers to relax on

The pool area is bit grubby, the sun lounges need upgrading and need of a clean. Spent most of my stay at the beach, and on excursions. But for a 2* not bad place, I would return thanks

The property has spacious and clean rooms, a very convenient location, close to plenty of restaurants & cafes, bus stop and supermarket. Not to mention, that it's "private"beach is a second away from the hotel

Can't express enough thanks to this family hotel that accomodated our party of 12 on two different occasions. Food was brilliant. All greek home cooked. Mussels Saganaki to be tried.

Tip: The hotel has a fantastic rooftop where you can enjoy your breakfast consisting of the freshest Greek products (had a delicious homemade cake) and the view of the endless sea

Great bar. The wife loved the Pina Coladas. The entertainment was brilliant, some crazy fella from Miami made for a very spirited night.

I’d like to say it’s all the staff, it isn’t! The hardest worker I have ever seen in a hotel is Phoebe who literally is flat out serving guests around the pool

If there is no room you can go down to the private beach and use the free sunbed and umbrellas. Breakfast lovely , hot and varied, evening meal was ok, little choice but good enough

Yes rooms are basic but all you do is sleep and shower in there! For us having been here for the second time it is about the people and staff. This hotel is what it is down to the staff who work tirelessly
