We stopped here for 10 nights. Overall it was a great stay. The children really enjoyed exploring all pools. Some reviews say you don’t need to reserve but by the time we got up the beds were all taken so I would suggest going out to the pools earlier. The food wasn’t bad. What a stunning hotel! Calm. Peaceful. I stayed in one of the apartment suites overlooking the ocean. Staff always go out of the way. I’m a vegan and they specifically looked for and made special dishes for me every day! The beach is sandy but not necessarily amazing. But nice enough. Great service. It won’t disappoint!

Easily the best hotel/resort we have ever stayed at. We had our wedding at Amirandes and also stayed for a few nights. The whole wedding planning process was seamless thanks to their professional staff. You can see how luxury the hotel is right from the main gate entrance. We will definitely go back again!

Other than the architecture of the lobby and entrance area and the good natured staff, it was the worst stay I have ever experienced. They sell u the room as luxury sea view and you pay over euro 500 a night for a run down room. Food is mediocre, WiFi doesn’t work, and staff are ill trained to handle customer demands. This is a euro 200 a night at best.

This is an excellent location for a tranquil break. Good food choices with lots of flavour. There was always space around the pools and the beach was easy to access. It was shallow enough to snorkel and spotted a few fish. I would choose this hotel again when I visited Crete. The bus stop was quite a walk away but the buses are easy to use.

Absolutely loved it there.The service was excellent and so friendly. The whole place was clean and the food was fine for us. The area of gouves is relatively quiet but that was perfect for this break. Would definitely return. Only complaint is the towels on every sunbed with no one to be seen. This unfortunately happens everywhere so won't mark down for it.

We didn’t stay here but their attentive lifeguard helped my son and I when we got into trouble in the sea opposite the hotel. Even though we weren’t reindents he brought us in, patched up our cuts and bruises and did everything h could to make sure we’d be ok. Very caring and helpful - thank you!

There's good & bad here. First up, the Aegean classes its self as a 4* hotel, meaning the tourist tax is €10 per room, per night - payable on check in. Second up, it's a no flushing loo roll place, which is fairly common but worth noting as most of the 2 bed suites only have one bathroom. I booked a thirty minute back, neck and shoulder massage with Silvana for 60 euros. The ambiance in the room was calm and peaceful. I felt very comfortable and relaxed. Silvana did an amazing job. I felt every muscle and bone pop which was painful in a good way. She also massaged my hands and arms and that was very good as well. Afterwords I felt less tense and very relaxed. 10/10 recommend!

The place was lovely and well maintained we had a swim up room (highly recommend) the hotel provides fresh towels on a daily basis, you just go to the spa and replace them. Visited some friends who were staying atvthese apartments. They were delighted with the refurbishment of the rooms and facilities from last year. Everything looked fresh and new. Volta suites seem to be brand new and are in a great location only a 5 mins walk to the sea, some of the suites have hot tubs whilst others have swimming pools there is also an outdoor pool and outdoor gym. Super friendly welcome from Giorgos and an amazing breakfast delivered to the room to enjoy on our balcony.

This place is top notch high end luxury. The Apartments are run by Yiannis the Son of Andonis and Maria and he has done a fantastic job. The newest Apartments have infinity pools and their own Cabanas on the ground floor and they are very trendy and modern. Myself and my young son stayed here for a week in May. This small, family run hotel is made up of apartments as well as a villa. The whole place is immaculate, it’s so clean and so well maintained. The family who run it are obviously passionate about their business and it shows. All staff are lovely; friendly and attentive without being intrusive. Very lovely place! Very easy communication via whatsapp as we arrived late at night. Key was ready at the door. Room is nice, kitchen tiny but absolutely perfect for such a stay. Loved the pool area very much! Love plane spotting and was not dissappointed.
