Only been here for 2 days as yet but really enjoying how unique this hotel is. I will Send more feedback later. We are home now so I can revise my review.
If you stay at the hotel in the evening there's not much entertainment. The D j plays some nights but nowhere to dance.
We made a complaint to the reception regarding our glass toilet door making an aweful noise when opening and closing as it was getting caught on something 3 times we reported it and was told nothing wrong with it... i took a video to reception of the door and now small shards of glass.they soon took notice and repaired the fault.
Booked a massage/ they changed the time to fit other ppl in so moved our appointment. The manager of the spa was so rude and continually smirked at us. Finally had our couples massage it was lovely and we left them a tip as it was their fault. I couldn't bring myself to spk to the Spa manager on leaving but it turned out she gave us 20% discount.

Travelled with a group of 4. Terrible experience, outdated rooms and elevator, bugs in lights, We got to the hotel and were not properly greeted we were just asked to copy our passports and then one of the party had to wait two hours to get in because it wasn't ready. Meaning he had to haul his luggage around for that time. The rooms were small and only 1 had a genuine sea view, the other two had pool or garden views though we paid for sea. They did not set up our keycard so when we left our hotel room after they had let us in. We could not get back in, meaning we bad to wait, soaked from being in the sea, 30 minutes to get back in to have a proper shower. The dinner options were not good on most days meaning we ate out a lot and if we didn't go to breakfast first thing, Our food was cold. The hotel is suggested to be a 5* but I can't see it being higher than a 2 or a 3. The hotel made our first day experience miserable and regret going. The DJ at the pool during the afternoon was playing the same EDM music you'd expect at a nightclub as people were trying to read or casually swim.
The only saviour was the location as the views when we left our rooms were gorgeous. Oh and the cats were cute.

Lovely large hotel with 4 pools! Right beside the beach. ( over the road) Free sunbeds for residents. So much choice on the buffet meals, each breakfast and evening meal. Rooms are large, beds comfy. Great shower and all toiletries in the room.

This hotel is absolutely stunning – designed in a beautiful Bali-inspired style that makes you feel like you are in paradise 🌴✨. The whole complex is perfectly maintained, spotlessly clean, and full of peaceful corners to relax. There are several swimming pools, each with relaxing spa zones, so you can always find your perfect spot to unwind. The variety of restaurants is excellent – every meal was a pleasure – and in the evenings there is live music, which creates a wonderful atmosphere 🎶.
The staff are incredibly friendly, professional, and always willing to help with a smile. A special mention goes to the lovely lady in the hotel shop – she is simply amazing, warm, and welcoming 💛. The whole place is quiet, calm, and elegant, making it ideal for couples or anyone looking for a true escape.
We couldn’t imagine a better place for a holiday on Crete. Everything here exceeded our expectations, and we will most definitely return. Highly recommended for anyone who dreams of a perfect, relaxing getaway 🌊🌸.

Great selection of pools, with bars close by for a midday cocktail/pint. Entertainment was good, but the DJ by the pool during the day may have been a bit too loud and struggled to find the right songs for daytime djing, put me off my relaxation and had to put earphones in at times. The location by the sea was great with a selection of beds on the beach.

We had a wonderful stay at The Island Hotel in Crete. The atmosphere was peaceful, and everything was exceptionally clean. It was the perfect spot for a relaxing getaway, and we loved every moment. Highly recommended!

Truly great hotel!
Beautiful, neat, clean. Nice and friendly staff. We have half-board ourselves, so only breakfast. Unfortunately, at the time of writing, 2 of the 3 restaurants are closed and you can only use the evening buffet. That is a pity, but also understandable as we are a bit later in the holiday season.
On the other hand, it is great to be by the pool, as it is not so crowded and you always have a spot/sun bed by the pool. These too are very clean, well maintained and really beautiful. You can choose from 3 pools and a "jacuzzi", which is not really a jacuzzi, but lovely to sit in/at.
We also had a room upgrade on arrival. We went from a room with garden view, to a room with semi sea view. If I would have paid for sea view, I would have thought it a waste of my money. Anyway, we didn't pay for it :)

In short, we are extremely happy with our choice of this beautiful hotel!

We had a great time at The Island hotel. Wonderful location. Good food and lots to do and visit in the area. Staff works really hard here! We especially loved the lady at the mini market who was super nice and really took care of all the cats in the resort.

Really good Pilates, stretching and yoga. But all the classes were in the morning, one after the other. How can a person attend these and have breakfast. So frustrating.
The main pool was great until 13:30. But then the DJ started up. As far as I could tell he was the only person enjoying the bizarre selection of music. It would have suited me better to have no DJ!

This is an excellent location for a tranquil break. Good food choices with lots of flavour. There was always space around the pools and the beach was easy to access. It was shallow enough to snorkel and spotted a few fish.
I would choose this hotel again when I visited Crete. The bus stop was quite a walk away but the buses are easy to use.
