We stopped here for 10 nights. Overall it was a great stay. The children really enjoyed exploring all pools. Some reviews say you don’t need to reserve but by the time we got up the beds were all taken so I would suggest going out to the pools earlier. The food wasn’t bad. What a stunning hotel! Calm. Peaceful. I stayed in one of the apartment suites overlooking the ocean. Staff always go out of the way. I’m a vegan and they specifically looked for and made special dishes for me every day! The beach is sandy but not necessarily amazing. But nice enough. Great service. It won’t disappoint!

Easily the best hotel/resort we have ever stayed at. We had our wedding at Amirandes and also stayed for a few nights. The whole wedding planning process was seamless thanks to their professional staff. You can see how luxury the hotel is right from the main gate entrance. We will definitely go back again!

Other than the architecture of the lobby and entrance area and the good natured staff, it was the worst stay I have ever experienced. They sell u the room as luxury sea view and you pay over euro 500 a night for a run down room. Food is mediocre, WiFi doesn’t work, and staff are ill trained to handle customer demands. This is a euro 200 a night at best.

This is an excellent location for a tranquil break. Good food choices with lots of flavour. There was always space around the pools and the beach was easy to access. It was shallow enough to snorkel and spotted a few fish. I would choose this hotel again when I visited Crete. The bus stop was quite a walk away but the buses are easy to use.

For the price, the hotel was really good. Absolutely loved it there.The service was excellent and so friendly. The whole place was clean and the food was fine for us. The area of gouves is relatively quiet but that was perfect for this break. Would definitely return. Only complaint is the towels on every sunbed with no one to be seen. We didn’t stay here but their attentive lifeguard helped my son and I when we got into trouble in the sea opposite the hotel. Even though we weren’t reindents he brought us in, patched up our cuts and bruises and did everything h could to make sure we’d be ok. Very caring and helpful - thank you!

Took a few days to realise how well-placed it actually is (if you have car). But staff are lovely and sooooo helpful. We stayed in room 216. The rooms aren't sound proof and had some really inconsiderate neighbours , always coming in after 2am and making lots of nose and banging doors etc. but that's not the hotel's fault.

I booked a thirty minute back, neck and shoulder massage with Silvana for 60 euros. The ambiance in the room was calm and peaceful. I felt very comfortable and relaxed. Silvana did an amazing job. I felt every muscle and bone pop which was painful in a good way. She also massaged my hands and arms and that was very good as well. Afterwords I felt less tense and very relaxed. 10/10 recommend!

The place was lovely and well maintained we had a swim up room (highly recommend) the hotel provides fresh towels on a daily basis, you just go to the spa and replace them. There's good & bad here. First up, the Aegean classes its self as a 4* hotel, meaning the tourist tax is €10 per room, per night - payable on check in. Second up, it's a no flushing loo roll place, which is fairly common but worth noting as most of the 2 bed suites only have one bathroom. We had a great time on Crete.The hotel staff was good especially the waiter Michailis?Close to the beach however the hotel is old .

Excellent service and excellent value for money. Food is very good and plenty of it. Staff are all very and helpful. We love it.

Our first time in Crete and we stayed at Kaissa Beach . Very nice for kids ,helpful and friendly staff ,plenty oft space for sunbathing round the pool , and good prices for cocktails at nicht .Definitely coming back .Big thanks to everyone for avery happy holiday in Gouves .See you soon .

Hotel as described,modern,clean and very welcoming. Owner of the hotel is the nicest women you could wish for. We was attending a Greek wedding during our holiday and she couldn't be more helpful. I have booked hairdresser's appointment but I wasn't sure about the location so she offered to drop me off. Breakfast was always fresh, with plenty of choices. What a find!! Spotlessly clean, helpful staff, lovely swimming pool (unmanned but not too deep with the same depth from end to end) road in front is a busy road but after a while hardly notice it. On the flight path so planes fly across but again not an issue unless you are easily iterated by noise. Lovely place to stay at a reasonable price !!

Close to the beach and the local restaurants, this hotel has to offer really clean and spacious rooms with all the facilities,e.g. room service,parking space,bathroom amenities and a pool with a garden. The highlight is the delicious breakfast with cretan products prepared fresh every morning by Mrs. Chisoula. Mrs. Michalis organises everything with a smile. Hope we visit them again next year.

It is a nice B&B, the rooms are clean, and generally, a decent place to stay for a couple of nights to enjoy the northern area near the airport and the surrounding attractions. Mike - the owner was very nice to us, gentle and welcoming, and charming with the kids. His wife- a bit of the opposite, seemed angry at the kids and had a lot of comments on how they behave or what they do. They might not be...

Chrisoula and Irene were wonderful hosts. We were warmly greeted and nothing was a problem. The room was spacious and very clean and the bathroom was massive!! Breakfast was fresh and plentiful and included bacon and eggs, pastries, home made Cretan pies, yoghurt, nuts, fruit, cereal and coffee and tea. There was something for everyone. We stayed for 1 week and would highly recommend Golden Sunlight...

It was such a good stay and we felt very welcome. The rooms were so clean, the food was outstanding and the pool was so nice. Most of all we loved the people there and how nice and helpful they were. We will definitely be back.😻👍❤️
