The splash park is really good, I’m not sure why it doesn’t open until 11am though. The bars are great and lovely sitting areas too. We went to afew of the entertainment nights. The Acrobats night was our favourite

There only ever seemed to be 10-15 out each time where there’s 100s of plates so I found myself asking for one or waiting for a restock. The hotel definitely needs more out available. Staff are friendly and polite

The hotel is maintained very well, with clean rooms and clean restaurant facilities. We thought the food was good as well, used the snack bars in the day and the buffet restaurant at night

It’s was you expect from an all inclusive holiday. Same with the drinks! I bought coke from the shop as there’s wasn’t the best! FYI I didn’t see nuggets once in my whole stay. The restaurant is absolutely crazy

Easily the best hotel/resort we have ever stayed at. We had our wedding at Amirandes and also stayed for a few nights. The whole wedding planning process was seamless thanks to their professional staff

The sides also have pergolas to partially shade the pool. The salt water is not heated but honestly it's ideal for swimming. The exterior architecture is among the best I've seen in hotels

This is a decent hotel and we very much enjoyed our stay here. The 50 metre rectangular pool is a real highlight. Unlike many hotels, this is a proper pool suitable for lap swimming

There is an indoor and outdoor gym, football pitch, tennis court, paddle court, plus other daily activities such as yoga, gym classes and stretching routines, all at no extra cost

The animation team was fantastic – plenty of activity programs during the day and great themed evening shows at their dedicated theater. There are many pools, all in excellent condition and very well maintained

This was our very first visit to Crete and from the first day to the very last moment, everything was simply perfect. Positives The staff were absolutely lovely and incredibly friendly in every department

The front office team was very helpful and always available. Housekeeping was one of the best we’ve ever experienced – beds were made every day and we received fresh towels daily

As a suggestion, it would be great if the meals included more traditional Greek dishes and authentic local food options – this would really enhance the overall experience

Staff incredibly helpful and friendly, fun nights at the hotel bar with dj in the evenings, stunning sunsets on the beach, having a room with a pool was an amazing bonus! Didn’t really leave the hotel much as it had so much for a short, relaxing break

We had a wonderful stay at The Island Hotel in Crete. The atmosphere was peaceful, and everything was exceptionally clean. It was the perfect spot for a relaxing getaway, and we loved every moment. Highly recommended!

We were able to relax on our own double sunbed in our own pool, with complete privacy. The hotel beach is just 2 minutes walk away, well equipped and the sandy beach gives a shallow and easy walk into the sea

It was shallow enough to snorkel and spotted a few fish. I would choose this hotel again when I visited Crete. The bus stop was quite a walk away but the buses are easy to use

This is an excellent location for a tranquil break. Good food choices with lots of flavour. There was always space around the pools and the beach was easy to access

Staff works really hard here! We especially loved the lady at the mini market who was super nice and really took care of all the cats in the resort

After 4 days, the hotel kicked out the animation which know from earlier visits, put a new terrible, in Russian, no one speaks, children's disco is walking in a circle, the evening disco is a song by the orders of drunken Frenchmen

Had an amazing time at this hotel. We arrived last Monday and our room was in the newer side. Right next to a pool so perfect for us. It’s a small hotel which suited us down to the ground

All pools are available to everyone (with the exception of the private pools) , so we enjoyed using the roof top pool on a few occasions as well. The layout of this hotel means that it all feels spread out

If I could offer one suggestion Maybe a bit more for kids. Can’t fault any of the staff from the dining staff, cleaners and bar staff etc they all helped make our stay really good

While the animation team weren’t our thing they seemed to do a good job especially on an evening and we’re all polite, they didn’t pester us to try and get involved which is good

One week family holiday with two boys. We had paid for and were staying in a deluxe family room and so we were in the newer part of the hotel

This is not a major issue but during the day when you have been in the pool you cannot go inside to get a drink which leaves you stuck. The staff are absolutely wonderful and really made our trip

The food was amazing and although some items were repetitive, they tasted so good that we honestly didn’t mind eating some things more than once. There were a number of options that were new every night so it was great

There is a gym with sufficient equipment to work out but you are let down by no air con or fans in there so it’s like training in a sauna, I mentioned this to reception but nobody seemed to care

Some even leave there towels from the day before and the hotel do not clear them. The pool doesn’t have a shallow end and get quite deep, there is a smaller pool for children. So overall it’s good but not amazing

On walking into the reception area I saw a few cats about. We approached the reception and was met by a lovely lady who checked us in, I asked about the cats and she dismissed them saying oh there are a few

I thought great I have an allergy to them so sitting in any chairs in reception was ruled out. The rooms are basic but function well. Air conditioning is spot on, room fridge was a God send for cold drinks

All drinks are served in cheap plastic cup, as there is only a pool bar, so don’t get excited if you’re looking for a fancy cocktail. The pool is good but it’s the usual not enough sun-beds

Food is good with plenty of choice at all meal times. However if you sit outside you will be surrounded by cats scrounging for food and some darlings think it’s sweet to feed them

At the swim up pool there is water with fruit and a zingy lemon drink which is free 😊 we only went half board but the shops are 5 mins walk and you have a mini fridge in the room so we bought water, coke and lager and loads of layz 😂 The rooms were cleaned daily if you wanted this, we did as coming in and out of the water the floor got dirty

We recently stayed at this hotel and had a truly enjoyable experience. The property is beautiful, with thoughtfully designed indoor and outdoor spaces, all of which were very clean and well maintained

Food was lovely but buffet so the same however there is 2 restaurants either side of the hotel and you are only 15 mins walk to the sea front

We arrived quite late and we were greeted by friendly staff and showed us to our rooms. The rooms were typical Grecian, basic but clean. Our room was located on the second floor with a balcony overlooking the large pool

The drains in the bathroom are connected from toilet, sink and bath so smells do back up a bit. The TV in the rooms only has BBC world news as English Channel and it’s only a 14” screen and is up high on the wall

We had a double bed, single bed, kitchen area, wardrobe and desk. We had dinner saved for us in the fridge with bottled water

The weather was typically 26oc, never an issue getting sun beds there were plenty around the pool

The pools were nice, but one of the pools was losing its plastic from the floor of the pool. Overall I wouldn’t recommend the hotel to anyone, unless you really just want a very basic place to sleep

The room I had was ok, but the bathroom door didn’t close properly, the bed was very lumpy, I had to pay €10 for a kettle for my sleep apnoea device

Nice hotel but the food is just ok. After 5 days everything repeats and gets boring. Nice pool area and bars. Low budget drinks are ….. ok. Small cups for LQ cocktails

If anyone is actually reading this review, I would propose to place a sign that sunbeds can't be reserved. Not everyone is there at the same time. Another splution could be baskets for towels and personal belongings

The pools were renovated and look amazing!! There aren't enough sunbeds for everyone and many guests seem to "reserve" sunbeds by simply placing their towels on top for the whole day

Put up a sign explaining the purpose of the baskets and that sunbeds cannot be reserved. The staff in the whole hotel was extremely friendly, understanding and competent

Add a basket near each umbrella, if the sunbeds aren't occupied but there are towels and personal things on them, people can put them in the basket and use the sunbeds

Overall I would recommend the hotel and the whole experience. It is a very beautiful hotel, the beach was wonderful and so was the surrounding area

The Poseidon restaurant had a huge selection for breakfast, lunch and dinner. We were lucky enough to dine at the Al La carte restaurants during our stay and the food was amazing

We recently celebrated my 40th birthday at Stella Palace with my family and our friends' family, and it was a truly fantastic experience. The hotel has a great atmosphere and is perfect for a group getaway

Agapi who works at main restaurant was amazing with my kids that my smallest kid only wanted to eat at that restaurant so she can see her. Lucy and ruby at the kids club are fantastic

They explained everything to us and were very helpful! We stayed in room 152 which was above the Filamena restaurant. The room was very spacious with the teenagers one end and the adults at the other

We had two bathrooms, which was awesome and also a partial sea view which we wasn't expecting. Unfortunately there is a downside to the rooms and that is the paper thin walls

They are so kind, they are professional, they are so welcoming and they are just happy to help you. The village is beautifully made but the staff working in there make it even special. We will definitely go back there!

Not the hotels fault but didn't help us on the sleep front! We literally spent most of our time by the pool at the Filamena. We didn't have to get up early for a sunbed as there were plenty

The transfer from the airport was roughly 20 minutes which was great! We were then greeted by lovely reception staff

A TV with Fast wifi and Aircon. They supply pool towels, and the pools are great to cool off. Both resturants on the premises serve good food. The resort has a shuttle service to the beach or to the village at the bottom

Awesome resort! I only gave 4 stars on location because it’s not on the beach, however being on a mountain provides exceptional views, shuttles run to the beach and town daily and only 5 and 15 minutes away

It's a upper class Hotel / resort up in the mountain. The staff are very friendly and are always willing to help. The rooms are great and fully equipped, including a dish washer, have a bathtub and shower

The entire staff was awesome from the soap and the massage services to housekeeping!The front desk staff did an exceptional job making my wife and I feel welcome

My experience at NEMA was 10/10, so much so, I’ve already booked again for next year having had such an amazing stay. Every member of staff from the reception, to the dining room, to the domestic were exemplary

A place which offers a lot of bang for the buck. It has convenient and furnished rooms, some of them with a sea view. Directly in front of the hotel there's a sandy beach with a gentle slope, pleasant for swimming

We can wholeheartedly recommend booking a half board: it includes a filling English/continental breakfast with instant coffee/tea and a-la-carte dinner priced up to appx. 10 euro, plus a small free dessert

And the service girls working there are very keen to assist you

Have just returned from a 7 day break at the Caldera Palace with the wife my son his fiancée and my 3 yr old grand daughter We had rooms 8001 family swim up and 8002 double swim up Room was large massive queen size bed and brim on all inc was nice to have a complimentary bottle of wine along with the mini bar that was replenished each day Food in the main restaurant was really good with a vast selection...

The hotel complex is large with a number of pools including adult area (that you don't need to pay extra for so parents can take advantage of some quiet time whilst the children are in kids club) family and splash pool

Sometimes you get coffee from a push button machine, also gross. Then at breakfast you can be served what I think is filter? Could be wrong but regardless, it's disgusting. So apart from the coffee, great hotel

They have espresso machines and sometimes you get coffee from the 'proper' machines, I don't understand the why and where of getting coffee from a espresso machine but sometimes it arrives

Fantastic facilities and great options for all ages. Food quality is fantastic and the main restaurant has themed nights to keep it varied. Most of the food is also cooked fresh in open kitchens which is great

Staff were great although the bar staff were always stretched resulting in long queues. Water park area is fantastic. The option of an indoor pool in low season also great if the weather is not great

While there is room for improvement in the meals offered (please note that I have dietary restrictions concerning pork, seafood, and milk-based meat preparations), there was always a diverse range of food options available, and I managed to find suitable choices

Showers flooded bathroom floor because of a huge gap between screen and wall. Bath water emptied back up out of drain onto bathroom floor! TV mainly in German with some French and Italian - no English

Excellence at work The management and staff made this one of the most memorable experiences we have had in a hotel,the chef Petros was amazing his food some of the best we have had this accompanied by the wait staff Tonya,Evi,Manos and Soula who could not have been more helpful

There was entertainment during the day and evening but during the day entertainment were repetitive, so I think that could do with some adjustments to make overall experience better

Each night there was live entertainment in the pool bar, with a mixture of traditional music and dancing, to acoustic duos and even a DJ! Our favourite part was meeting new friends and closing down the night with Yiannas, Michalis x2 and Eleftheria :) All in all, for two broke, newly married thirty year old Canadians, it was more costly than any all-inclusive we've taken to Cuba

Staff are so friendly, especially Eleanor at the Theatro Pool bar, she is a little gem. We went all inclusive for 7 nights. So much food choice that we were ever bored

We visited at end of June and what an amazing holiday we had we loved the hotel so much we booked to go again from the bar on the last day! Katerina in the restaurant was the best all staff warm and friendly the shop on site was full of beautiful things

We had room 214, lovely room but it has a step down to the bathroom which at night we found a concern as we couldn’t see it, so we had to put a cushion there to navigate in the dark

All really wonderful! Tips; use the beach beds, much quieter and less struggle to get a bed there. Service is just as fast down on the beach as it is at the pool

In the evening after a day of exploring the island the jacuzzi under the stars couldn't have had make us more happier!:) Veronique, who knows the island very well, was also super friendly and helpful, and we got many tips from her

The suites are lovely and spacious, but what makes this place special and outstanding is the staff. Everyone was sooooo welcoming and helpful. Veronique did everything possible to accommodate all our wishes

The quality of the finishings throughout the apartment and the pool area are first class. The breakfast was plentiful and of good quality. We particularly enjoyed the sunsets from our balcony / the pool

Although we also went to the shared pool and the spa pool, the place has privacy and a beautiful view and there were days we did not keft the resort but very much enjoyed just staying there

We had very relaxing 3 days in Orina suites. We booked the Felicity suite and it was everything we wanted and very clean. The detailed interior makes you feel luxurious, but also like home

i would have liked more entertainment ( during the day and night) so i could come next time with my teenagers kids next time, but this is what make this place extra quiet

They took care of us like family. Especially the beach bar staff were #1. We were with a large group of friends and they were so attentive and added a lot of laughter and fun to our experience

Herssonissos Village is a beautiful place with great views and cozy rooms. The bar is fantastic, thanks to bartenders Ricardo and Dimitris. Both of them make amazing cocktails, and they are warm and friendly

The locations is close to everything the only issue is the walk to and from town as there’s very little path and it’s quite a busy road, the hill is also quite steep to walk up but you wouldn’t get the beautiful views from the hotel if it wasn’t

The administrator, Alex, did everything possible to check us in earlier than the standard time and has been very helpful with all our questions. We enjoy the white wine, and the local spirits make for excellent cocktails

The views are absolutely breathtaking – we chose a sea-view room, and the upgrade was more than worth it. On top of that, we were pleasantly surprised with a fruit platter, excellent wine, and bottled water in the room

The restaurants offer an amazing variety of dishes — everything is fresh, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. Special compliments to the chefs for the incredible lamb — it was tender, juicy, and absolutely delicious

The rooms are large and are cleaned daily. The entire hotel is very clean. The only downside I see is that there are many planes flying close to the hotel as the airport is at about 15min drive from the hotel

The variety of fresh and tasty food, the long seaside shore , a lot of pools, every evening shows, friendly and careful staf, comfortable and spacious rooms with seaside view

In the right part of the hotel beach there is another beach that is protected by some micro islands from the big waves. The water is shallow which makes it perfect for small children

Getting a massage at this spa was really nice. Emma was my masseuse, and you can tell she's an expert, and her massage was very relaxing. I'd definitely go back again!

Food, I think - 4, because sometimes meat was really too tough and untasty, but we always could find something for ourselves. There was always enough food, even if you go at the end of lunch
