Avra Imperial Hotel

Lovely pool and rooms (brilliant size for my husband and son). The overall look and feel of the hotel was great. The main point of disappointment was the service - none of It had the ‘how can we help’ approach (which you’d hope for, given the price) and none of the staff seemed like they wanted to be there. Also, for children, there was little activity aside from the holiday club - the other facilities were closed (without explanation) and the evening entertainment was very minimal. The overall app experience was disappointing (yet seemingly vital for bookings), and the restaurants were apparently full every night (despite being half empty when in them). It has so much potential but sadly very average.

Really good 5 star hotel: large pools, excellent food, lot of nice personel, clean, no noise around a pool like in Turkey so you can really relax.
Bad things: beach must be improved with more sunbeds and better entrance to the sea. Not enough sunbeds around the pool so you have to get up at 6.30 to take sunbeds. Really unprofessional from the hotel that they don't have enough sunbeds so guests have to fight for them. You pay 5 000 euros for vacation and in a 5 star hotel at 8 am you can't find free sunbeds! Only because of this I would never come back nor recommend this hotel to my friends.

This is a low 4 star hotel certainly not a 5 star as suggested. We stayed 10 days at the resort in June 2024.

Avoid this hotel if you’re a couple and want a quiet holiday. I would say that 85% of the guests are families with children of all ages. Everywhere we went (two pools or beach) to try and get some peace there were children. Even in the swim up pool room we had a family check in two doors up and that was the end of the peace in our room/balcony. I always expect kids but this was on another level. Every table we sat at for dinner we was next to children and nothing is peaceful. We started booking tables later to try and avoid the noise. Not the families fault by any means but not what we enjoy to be around on holiday. We tried to upgrade to the adult only section of the hotel, was told we would receive a phone call and never did.

This was a big negative for us but there are positives too. The rooms are really nice and all the staff were friendly. The buffet food is good, again no where near 5star and the three restaurants on site…..2 of them very very nice but the Italian was nothing special.

Location was great right on the beach. However approx 30umbrellas on it for a resort this size is never enough so many times there were no beds. No monitoring of towels which were being left for hoursssssss on beds and then people coming to just collect them and not even using them. Was a joke to be honest. Hotel needs more towel bins to encourage people to move them when finished so people know when beds are free.

Overall we did have a good holiday but not even close to 5stars. Perfect for families but would not go back as a couple.
