Atlantica Caldera Beach

We spent some holidays in a past years in a hotels better and worst and we had some sort of level of everything that we didn’t want go lower. We’ve searched for this year holiday for 6 months because one bad review put us off.
But decided to spend this year at Caldera and that was the best decision ever.
Starting from reception, everyone was very friendly and helpful. We were offered to leave baggage’s at the reception and stuff will take them to the room. We didn’t use this service.
We got the room at the lowest ground which was a bit dark but travelling with a toddler was very handy as we weren’t woken up at the sunrise 😅 and the bushes around the balcony (we complained about them at first) turned out to be very handy at evenings when we sat there during heavy wind. We still could enjoy the quiet evening there without freezing.
Rooms are fully equipped with toaster, coffee maker fridge freezer and table for 4 ppl.
Room was cleaned every day with fresh towels. Even all teddies in the cot were placed nicely.
The area around the hotel was very clean and neat. Cleaned everyday. When the guy that was cutting the grass noticed that my child wasn’t comfortable with the noise stopped immediately and let us pass without stressing the child.
The main point - food was absolutely amazing! There was nothing we didn’t like and we are picky eaters.
Loads of choices from meat, fish, veggie, and seasoned perfectly. The local corner was our favourite. Hummus, cheese thyme honey ♥️
Local sweets for dessert ♥️ if I only had two stomachs to fit it all in 😅
We’ve been there for 7nights and food never repeated.
Loads of classes at the pool. From kids swimming lessons to aqua aerobic, kids corner with activities.
The direct access to beach was definitely a huge advantage for an evening walk when is quieter than during the day.
We’ve travelled around and at the local areas (as we prefer to stay between locals on holiday) and I must say I’m in love with Crete after this holiday. With the views and spices and food ♥️

Great resort. We are in one of the ground floor rooms. Would have give an extra star if I had a better view from my patio. Some rooms will have.
We went bed and breakfast and the breakfast is great, loads of choices.

Very nice location, with direct access to the beach. We booked an apartment with sea view, with a large terrace, very clean and comfortable. The hotel has its own parking and has plenty of restaurants nearby, beachfront as well as in the main street. The host is very friendly, he offered a lot of valuable suggestions for spending time around the island. We arrived at in the middle of the night and he waited for us without any issues. Really good value for money!

Very happy my first holiday in years. I took a long time scanning the Internet for a destination and I chose this 👌 I must say I was happy. Jet2 were fantastic and I will use them again also. When we landed at the hotel there was an issue with our room so we got moved to the sister hotel over the road for one night which was fine, then they gave us a free massage and late check out also for the inconvenience which wasn't really an issue. We also got use of both hotels bars and restaurants, this was great as we didn't even complain about anything. The massage was fantastic, the food was unbelievable such a massive amount of selections. The bars were good 👍 all inclusive drinks however do seem a little watered down but hey ho saved a bad head the next day. The beach is literally next to the pool and was great for sunbathing and snorkeling. Chania is about 15 mins walk and there is a lidl about 10 mins walk which is cheap if you were self catering. You can walk either way down the beach to find more places to go. We got a bus for 20mins about 2euro each to old town and the harbour was beautiful 😍

The rooms were deep cleaned daily which was great 👍 the staff were all pleasant.

Overall I'd go back yes but want to try more places .

Lovely hotel with great customer service and fabulous food. Spacious rooms cleaned daily very well. What makes this hotel special is their greatest asset and thats the staff who are sociable, friendly and go above and beyond. Leaving a piece of our hearts in Crete

Siamo stati in questa meravigliosa struttura una settimana ad agosto, eravamo in 4, due camere a fianco stupende fronte mare. Che dire : pulizia , gentilezza , addormentarsi con il fruscio delle onde e al risveglio trovare un fresco e naturale orange juice direttamente portato dal gentilissimo sig. Demetris. Grazie ancora della sua disponibilità. Consiglio vivamente questa struttura. P.S. le camere fronte mare sono più belle, di quelle che affacciano sul giardino

This is a great and clean hotel complex. We didn't do the all inclusive although the breakfast buffett covered all bases. The swimming pools offer variety and the beach is fantastic to visit around 4pm/5pm when it is a little cooler. The staff who cleaned are room were amazing and very friendly.

Το δωμάτιο ήταν άψογο. Πλήρως εξοπλισμένο, καθαρό, άνετο. Τα πάντα λειτουργούσαν σωστά, A/C, ζεστό νερό, εξοπλισμός. Η τοποθεσία ιδανική, πάνω στην παραλία και πολύ κοντά σε οτιδήποτε χρειαστείς, καφέ μπάρ εστιατόρια, εμπορικά καταστήματα.. αλλά αυτός που έκανε τη διαφορά είναι ο Δημήτρης. Πάντα διαθέσιμος για οτιδήποτε χρειαστείς, με πλήθος πληροφοριών, για την περιοχή, εστιατόρια, σημεία ενδιαφέροντος μας διέθεσε ακόμα και έτοιμες προτάσεις με πρόγραμμα για το σύνολο της διαμονής μας, το οποίο αποδείχθηκε πολύτιμο και μας γλύτωσε από άσκοπες ταλαιπωρίες. Σϊγουρα το προτείνω και αν επισκεφτώ ξανά τα Χανιά σίγουρα θα μείνω στο Aetheras Beach.

very good location, very clean and very comfortable rooms! Dimitri is the best host i ever met! very precious and correct advices and recommendations! He offered us free fresh orange juice, in the fridge we found water and a good bottle of wine! The pictures are exactly like in reality, so you will not have any bad surprises. Like he said: “nothing less, nothing more”! if all the hosts would be like Dimitri, we all will be happy to travel, without worries! Very quiet, tavernas and supermarkets very close, free parking, beach in the front of the hotel! so, what else would you want for a perfect location for your holiday? thank you again, Dimitri, for helping us to have a perfect vacation!

Great location, right on the beach, with stores and restaurants in walking distance. The room was very clean, recently updated and with all the amenities one needs in a holiday. The host, Dimitris, it’s an awesome person, very helpful and very friendly. He recommended us all sorts of day trips to beaches, restaurants, or hidden gems.
