Minoa Palace Resort

The resort grounds are very beautiful! The beach area is nicely kept, from there you can see breathtaking sunrises & sunsets. There are plenty of beach chairs available, and you can have a fresh beach towel every day, if you wish. You can get served with food/beverages the entire time the beach area is "open". The food choices are amazing, a massive buffet both at breakfast & dinner, although dinner varies every evening, according to themes (Greek, Grill, Italian...). Room, bed and bedlinen were very comfortable. Our room had a nice view to the main swimming pool, with the sea in the background. We received a complimentary wine bottle at checkin. Staff is polite. There was always nice live music playing somewhere every evening.

Since not everything is perfect, towards the end of our stay, the room next door got occupied and I could hear them being intimate, so thin the walls are! The cleaning lady filled the shower gel container with water, and did not refill the lotion. The spa pool & jacuzzi waters are kept so cold, it's impossible to get in. And they should upgrade their gym, which is not compatible to a 5-star hotel (extremely old/bad equipment).

Nevertheless, we recommend the hotel, and would consider returning, since we had the relaxing time we were looking for.

Great stay at the Minoa Palace.

The hotel facilities are great and never felt over crowded, although the hotel was fully booked.
The swimming pools and the beach are perfect.
Spa is really nice, a bit expensive.
Restaurants are overall good.
Service is friendly and professional.

Few axes of improvement:
- Room cleaning can be better (the dishes brought in the room should be removed, cocktails for exemples)
- No allergens indications at the restaurants!! This is actually a very important point of improvement. The hotel makes you sign 2 or 3 formulas upon arrival but then, you’re at your own risk at the restaurants.

Overall, very nice holidays with a good price ratio for a 5 stars hotel.

We had a wonderful time at Minoa, with staff that was helpful and friendly and facilities that made our stay a treat!

Their beach area was neat and tidy, and complimentary sunbeds. We also used the tennis court and also had a coaching session which we very much enjoyed!

The breakfast was nice with Greek and other foods, something there for everyone!

I can definitely recommend this place for your vacation.

Genuine 5* experience. Great facilities, convenient location and the staff were lovely and super helpful. Incredible food options in the main restaurant, super fresh and very high quality. We stayed during the end of May bank holiday, resort was busy but we never had a cue or wait for anything. The beachfront rooms were a little walk from the main hotel including a walkway over the main road so ask for a room in the main resort if you'd rather avoid, but wasn't an issue for us. Can't wait to go back!

Very conveniently located this resort has its own private beach and makes it an amazing place for a great vacation. Where do I even start, we loved everything here. The hotel is connected through a private bridge to another property of theirs which takes you directly to the beach. This resort is surrounded by lush green plantations blended harmoniously with the ocean breeze and a peaceful tranquility. There are 4 restaurants, pool bars and a beautiful wellness spa center. The main restaurant offers both nice breakfast and you have different buffets every night, we had the Mediterranean buffet and the grill buffet. The other restaurant but the beach offers amazing a la carte menu. If you are coming here with kids, they have pools for both kids and adults and abundant sun chairs to read and relax. I would also really like to take the opportunity and thank all the staff for their amazing hospitality and kindness. They really made our stay worthwhile. I definitely recommend this resort and we will definitely come back.

My boyfriend and I decided to go to this 5-star hotel for a week in August. We especially enjoyed the food at the buffets & restaurants in the hotel - the quality is definitely superior than in other hotels we've been to in Greece. The room was very comfortable (amazing King size California bed). Sheets are changed once every week.

The only absolute disappointment was how dirty the private beach was. The staff were absolutely outstanding in their service. Nonetheless for a 5 star hotel, I expected the beach to be clean and not littered. I found myself picking up trash and literally putting it in the garbage. The beach / pool bar was quite nice with the sofas, where you can grab a snack/ drink. The cocktails and especially Pina colada are to die for !!

My husband and I just spent four days here for our 30th anniversary. We walked down the beach and saw other resorts, nothing compares. Everything is uncrowded and first class. The employees were amazingly helpful and nice and the food was truly delicious. We highly recommend it! The best beaches are on the other side of Crete and there are no hotels over there anyway so the best thing to do is stay here and book and excursion or rent a car.

Minoa Palace is everything you could ask for in a Cretan resort: beautiful well kept grounds with 3 or 4 pools, multiple bars and restaurants and its own beach with umbrellas and beds. Very well behaved international crowd, mostly from Northern and Eastern Europe. Everybody is very much to themselves, but courteous and polite. Staff is great, especially the front desk. We were quite demanding - ordering flowers, changing rooms, having packages delivered, renting a car and then forgetting some belongings, late check out - and staff bent over backwards to accommodate us. 5* business hotel service in a casual resort atmosphere. If you like buffets you'll love the food here: broad international selection, continuously replenished, fresh and very clean. Food and drinks overall are a bit unimaginative (hamburger, club sandwich, caesar salad), but very well executed. I guess that's what the guest expect. Rooms are large, clean, quiet and cool. There was a plumbing issue in our bathroom and we ended up being upgraded to the double suite. This was a real treat with full frontal sea view and a 200m2 terrace. Highly recommended.

Perfect place for holiday's for couples and families. Private beach, few pools, nice restaurants. Good food, nice service. Rooms are clean and tidy. Highly recommend.
