What can I say, this is an absolute jewel of a hotel right on the beach, I think it’s easy for people to write a bad review on here so thought I would do one that’s full of praise, on arrival we was met by the loveliest fella you could ever meet stavros the owner, you won’t meet anybody with such a zest for life as stavros has, he was so welcoming and you are very much made to feel part of the family straight away, the room we stayed in was very spacious and of a high modern finish, with a fridge in the room tv and kettle etc, the food for ai was exceptional and different every day, even the most pickiest of Eaters couldn’t complain, every meal breakfast lunch and dinner was spot on, would also like to mention Sasha who works behind the bar another lovely guy who serves up great cocktails every night, you really can’t go wrong with this place, plenty of sun beds two big pools, cold beer on tap from half 10, amazing, I will be definitely returning, thank you to all the amazing staff at Marlene mare! You’re all a credit

I stayed there during the Easter Holidays. The food was delicious.I was pleasantly surprised by the friendliness of the staff.And the room was very clean.The sea is very close and very calming. The weather was mild and sunny and maleme is very beautiful

Beautiful place, helpful people, great hotel, delicious food, very good drinks. A great place to organize a trip with friends and Stavros will take care of all your needs. I will definitely come back to this place again! I recommend it to everyone!

We had a wonderful week at the end of October in this beautiful hotel. We were greeted off the bus by Stavros, who runs the hotel and is a great host, by the end of the holiday we felt we had gained a new friend. The rooms are lovely, very modern and clean with great views. We were at the back so looked over the gardens, pool and sea. The dining area we loved, as there was lots of outdoor seating but even inside it had lovely views out to sea. The food we enjoyed, particularly as there were Greek dishes, but also plenty of other variety at all meal times. However, within minutes there are some lovely beach side Tavernas and bars to enjoy if you want to go out. The pool areas were very relaxing with comfortable sunbeds and one had views out to sea. The bar also has wonderful views looking over the beach and out to sea and there is a roof top terrace with amazing views. Although Maleme is only a small place it is a great location to go exploring, a 5/10 minute walk and you can catch the bus into Chania which was stunning and well worth the visit. There is also a little train that runs past and does various trips. The most special thing about this hotel is all the people who work there, they were all amazing, friendly and nothing was ever too much trouble. We have definitely fallen in love with this hotel and cannot wait to return! Thank you for a fabulous holiday.

A real gem of a hotel, From arrival to departure the friendly staff were superb, rooms spacious and comfortable cleaning service was efficient and our lady was lovely, bar service was second to none, didn't mind 10.30 closure of all inclusive, prices reasonable for drinks, pool area lovely plenty of relaxing areas, micro kitchen garden was lovely chef made good use of herbs etc, a little gem of a hotel,Stavros you make the place special, thank you and the staff for a lovely week 😀

This is a great hotel... Still currently here, the manager Stavros is a great guy along with all his staff. Even being from Scotland we are treated no different no matter what other reviews say.
We will be booking for next year also.

We couldn't have been made more welcome than we were when we arrived at this lovely hotel, which is located opposite the beach. The receptionist, Eleanor, was dealing with another guest so the young man behind the bar invited us immediately to have a drink while we waited. The check in procedure was quick and painless and we were shown by Eleanor to our 2 rooms. We declined the offer of help with our luggage. Our rooms were located on the first floor and had a a side seaview with beautiful well kept gardens below the balcony. There is a sweet little play area for children and two immaculate swimming pools with very comfortable sunbeds. Because of the time of year we had no issues with getting a sunbed but there are plenty and our pool towels were changed whenever we needed. The rooms are well equipped including a coffee machine, kettle and fridge. Air conditioning was excellent. They were cleaned every day, beds made with sheets and towels changed often. Beds and pillows are very comfy. Food was very good, especially as they were less than a week away from closing for the season. Dining room staff were always polite and helpful. Simple snacks and hot drinks are available. Bar staff couldn't have been nicer and they are generous with their measures. This hotel is in a process of improvements and will make an already lovely hotel even better. All in all we have had a fab holiday and it's true you are treated like family. We hope to return.

The hotel was beautiful, clean, and well maintained, lots of facilities. Staff were friendly, happy and polite, nothing was too much trouble for them. Food was tasty, plenty available and no restrictions. Will definitely return for another holiday 😁

We have just returned from a 10 day holiday at the Maleme Mare hotel. It in a peaceful, tranquil, beautiful location, perfect for a relaxing break. A handful of bars, restaurants and supermarkets are just up the road. The Hotel is compact but well laid out. Room was bright, clean and well equipped, really comfy bed. Food was well cooked and varied. Two pools, both lovely and best sunbeds ive ever had, cushioned and comfy. All the staff were wonderful and we had the best time, so much so, we booked again for next year, ......Can't wait.

I was here on vacation. I had a wonderful vacation. It was very clean. Food was excellent. But what I will remember is the staff. Always friendly, always willing to help us to make the perfekt stay. Stavros, Sasha and Olga will always be remembered until next time we visit.
