Everything was really really good. Food is great, always a good choice, maybe not that big choice like in Egypt/Turkey hotels, but the quality is much better. Very nice staff everywhere; and here special thanks to Inna from animation team - daughter loved her and it was superb. Also, I definitely like their sustainability policy in all aspects. Also, there are a lot of activities for kids - kids club, including some activities for while family, playground, playroom, etc. So really recommended for families. Choice of drinks in all-inclusive package is not so big, but I'd say it's enough. Pools are clean and water is warm.
The only downside is pool opening times - from 10 till 18, I believe it can be 1 hour more on each side.

Disappointing Experience with Towel Service and Customer Treatment

I recently had a highly disappointing experience regarding their towel service and customer treatment at this resort. According to their policy, towels are changed every three days, which I was fine with. However, I was never informed that the towel change window is between 10 AM and 4 PM. When I went to change our towels after 4 PM, despite there being plenty of towels available, I was told that it was too late and they couldn't be changed.

We visited other beaches, leaving from the resort early in the morning and returning later in the afternoon after 4 PM. Unfortunately, the accommodations for towel change were inadequate. There weren't enough sunbeds and umbrella at their beach, leaving many people without shade. Additionally, the sunbeds were old and dirty.

I went to the front desk to address the issue, but no solution was offered. To make matters worse, one of the girls, Alice, at the front desk told her colleague to take us outside to discuss the complaint because other clients could hear us, which felt very unprofessional. The same girl, Alice, even suggested that my husband and I go to the supermarket and buy our own towels if we wanted fresh ones, which was incredibly disrespectful.

This resort is far from being a 4-star establishment. The service we received was not worth the price we paid.

Furthermore, we experienced discriminatory behavior based on our native language, which is unacceptable. Alice’s behavior changed once she heard us speaking in our language and realized where we were from.

The entire situation was handled poorly, and Alice’s customer service, in particular, needs significant improvement. Alice should be taught how to properly treat customers. Overall, I would NOT recommend this resort to anyone seeking a pleasant and respectful vacation experience.

it was a really good and relaxing stay. The hotel is located in a nice place, low and nice buildings with a lot of pools and access to the beach and sea. We never had a problem finding an umbrella and a sunbed by the beach. As for the pools, here traditionally most of the sunbeds were already "reserved" with towels in the morning.
The friendly layout of the resort is also a plus. It is definitely a family place and if someone is looking for loud parties and the possibility of partying hard, this is not the right address (but you can always take a bus that leaves from the hotel every 30 minutes and go to nearby Platanias where there is no shortage of such attractions)
Most of the loud attractions ended at 10 pm (a big plus for me!). The proposed artistic program was not high-class, but that's not why I came there, so it was ok.

The beach by the hotel is not the most beautiful - gray, volcanic sand and a lot of small stones (it didn't bother me and did not require special shoes, but more sensitive people or children should stock up on them), apart from that the water was very pleasant. It is worth mentioning that it gets deep quite close to the shore, so small children and those who cannot swim may have a problem splashing freely and should be supervised by adults. The beach was also almost inaccessible for a few days due to high waves. Despite this, I rate the beach as OK - thanks to its characteristics, there were no crowds on it and you could relax peacefully. Its biggest minus is cleanliness - unfortunately, the hotel does not take proper care of this aspect and there was a lot of rubbish, cigarette butts, etc.

The nice and helpful hotel staff deserve praise, as well as the food, which was tasty, varied and available basically all day long. However, we were disappointed by the drinks available in all inclusive - sweet and watered down juices, beer and wine to drink, but after 2-3 days, slightly picky people will miss a decent drink. The biggest minus is the coffee - throughout the entire resort (even for an additional fee) it is difficult to drink a decent coffee. A coffee-like liquid flows from the machines, which is absolutely unacceptable for coffee lovers. Shame, especially since Crete is famous for good coffee and the tradition of drinking and brewing it...

The rooms were well prepared, the bed and pillows quite comfortable. It was peaceful at night. The only downside to the room was the lack of a night light (!) all available types of lighting dazzled the face while lying in bed - a small thing but persistent if someone likes to read before going to sleep. The WiFi worked quite well, and the area around the hotel was very nice and well-kept. To sum up - despite the listed downsides, I consider the stay very successful and I recommend this hotel, especially to families with children.

We visited the hotel to spend the day with a day pass, that gave us the opportunity to enjoy 3 magnificent main meals at the buffet restaurant. There was a snack bar during the day which was great for the children and 2 pool bars with some nice cool beer and soft drinks! Will visit again in the future! Special mention for the personnel at the bars and the restaurant and the kind people in the reception especially Alice, Dora and Sarah who always wore a bright smile on their faces and were very helpful!

Lovely hotel with very helpful and friendly staff. Food and drinks selection is great and a lot of variety. The room we stayed in (sea view room) was good and quite spacious with a great view! If you are travelling as a family, definitely book a family room and not the standard ones as they will be too small for families over 2 people. Beautiful walks along the beach at sunset and lots of places to sit and have a drink in the evening. Included in your stay you get one free meal in the Italian restaurant which is also very lovely and makes a change from the buffet. Overall, a brilliant family-friendly hotel and would definitely recommend.

Our holiday at TUI BLUE Atlantica Creta Paradise hasn't ended yet, but I'm writing this review 4 days before leaving as I'm sure nothing will change and maybe this information will help someone before deciding whether to book a stay here or not. We wish we knew all this before booking.

We booked a 10-night holiday with TUI because it seemed their hotels are family-friendly and our almost 3-year-old would enjoy it. Unfortunately it's definitely not what we expected and paying thousands of euros / pounds for this is ridiculous.

See my full review on TripAdvisor.

- It's absolutely impossible to have a restful night sleep or a lunchtime nap. We got a ground floor room and the noise is constant. The housekeeping ladies are extremely loud, constantly shouting, laughing and talking outside the rooms. They seem to spend more time having fun than doing their job. They start at around 6am and finish after 4pm. The trolleys they use to carry towels, bed sheets and cleaning supplies are extremely noisy because the wheels don't have any rubber on them. We complained twice to the front desk staff and they mentioned they'd talk to the housekeeping manager, but nothing changed. We asked for a room change hoping other areas were better, but apparently there were no available rooms (but we believe they just didn't want to help). Most people go on holiday to rest, right? Well, it seems TUI disagrees. If it's not the housekeeping staff, it's the staff bringing the luggage to the rooms or the loud guests shouting at crazy hours. We've travelled a lot throughout the years, all over the world, and stayed in all types of hotels. It's the first time we haven't managed to sleep properly / rest. Our toddler was always awakened by the noise. Today, my husband got out of the room when our daughter was having her lunchtime nap to ask the cleaning ladies to be quiet. The noise continued, so there's absolutely no respect for guests.
- On our first morning here, we were awakened by the fire alarm at 5am because someone smoke in the room. I guess it says a lot about the type of people who come to this hotel.
- The housekeeping staff don't clean the rooms properly.
- The coffee is horrible. It's not real coffee, but the instant type. If you want to drink real coffee, you need to buy it from their coffee shop - again, ridiculous based on how much money you pay for a holiday here.
- TUI advertises the private beach as being sand-and-shingle, so we expected small pebbles. There are some quite big stones, for a large portion before going into the water (and also for a portion in the water), so not suitable for young children. Something to keep in mind if you want to spend most of your time at the beach.
- The pools open at 10am and close at 6pm, so if you have a baby / young child who doesn't spend much (if any) time outside between 12pm and 4pm, you get minimal pool time.
- The evening entertainment for children is extremely loud. We, as adults, find it loud, let alone our daughter. If your children are always listening to blaring music in the car / at home, they'll enjoy it. Also, it's very much focused on using big, bright screens. If you avoid using screentime with your children, it's not a suitable hotel for you.
- The hotel prides itself with its healthy eating initiative for children, but the types of food they offer in the children's buffet are definitely not healthy or of good quality. There are much better options in the adults' section.
- There's so much scientific evidence that when it comes to children, rewards don't work (to the contrary, they're completely not recommended). Yet TUI came up with a reward card as part of their healthy eating initiative so children can get stickers for their eating habits. After seeing so many children with these reward cards, we had to get one for our daughter although we never use rewards with her. Not ideal.
- The furniture in the rooms is outdated and there's a very bad smell in the wardrobe, drawers etc.

Definitely wouldn’t recommend. Arriving at the hotel the gentleman helped us with our bags and check in was a breeze. On arriving at our room I noticed the floor hadn’t been hoovered there was dust everywhere. Never mind I can sort that I wiped the floor and proceeded to the bathroom nice clean but the hand cleaner bottle well it looked 10 years old and even had mould inside the bottle. That went straight in the bin. The tap and a thick coat of green stuff when I lifted the tap to turn on yuck! The cot provided was disgusting something from the 80’s maybe with ripped mesh each side stained and the mattress was a heavily strained, brown piece of foam with a sheet wrapped round it. The form wasn’t even big enough to fit the cot with large gaps top and bottom. My little girl wasn’t going in that no way. For a TUI blue 4+ star resort I would hate to think what a 4 or 3 star would be like. Atlantica Creta Paradise, worn out suite with private pool not worth the money. The food was uneatable tasteless and cheap buffet slop ok I suppose for someone without taste buds, and the a la carte restaurants are fully booked. Day 2, shower handle broke off in my hand, air con didn’t work had to keep resetting the switch board yes they said I can play with electrics if we stops working!!! Hair dryer wouldn’t dry the hair on a hairless person and shorts after just 2 minutes. Having long hair that is frizzy if left to dry naturally meant I had to tie my hair back for the rest of the holiday very attractive :( Thank you to my wonderful husband that bought me a hair dryer in Chania :) a short lived happiness as that same day I opened the mini fridge door to get a semi cold drink as it didn’t work well and the fridge door came off it’s hinge and hit my foot and my big toenail ripped up and was only still attached by a little bit of nail, blood everywhere and the pain makes me shiver just looking back at it. All in all not worth booking with TUI and definitely save your money and go else where even the furniture is crumbling at the bases

Nice hotel lots of bars and food places food is of a good quality at the buffet the entertainment was decent particularly the watch man show beach is clean with lots of loungers the pools have good amount of loungers one complaint the there wasn't many signs telling you where toilets were so it was a case of finding them

The staff and food were amazing. We all sat at the pool and the football coaches were amazing. And the beach was lovely at night, the bar staff were having a good time especially at the pool bar near beach at night and the singer was absolutely outstanding he sang in English which wasn't his 1st language he spoke Dutch, French and English which he spoke him and he was brilliant at guitar singing songs from 60s to the 90s, he came on at lunch near one of the restaurants and the at 7 at the same place and at night around 9:30 he just had a great time and he did special requests and he learnt rocket man specially for my brother which was amazing. The trip on a cruise to various Greek islands around Crete was beautiful. Also there was a lot of stray cats and dogs around trying to get food in restaurants. The only downside about the rooms are the marble floors which were slippy but apart from that everything was amazing including every staff member including receptionists, football coaches, bar staff etc. I would love to come back here.

We have just returned from a week stay and we had the best time! All the staff from the hotel were incredibly welcoming and helpful! The restaurant staff were so welcoming and the kids looked forward to dinner time immensely! They loved the games room and all the activities around the hotel! We played tennis and golf! The hotel is clean and well looked after. Also a big shout out to the Tui Blue team who was also so friendly and entertaining! We’ll definitely visit again!
