Amazing hotel set in a beautiful beach. The Greek restaurant was especially good and the orange cake amazing. All inclusive means more relaxing as you don’t need to arrange anything

We have been coming here regularly since 2004. This place is excellent, great friendly and helpful staff, great selection of food with various spacious areas for dining

In fact since we last came a couple of years ago there has been a change to what was already an excellent holiday experience by way of a renovation to rooms, services and eating and drinking places

If I had to really mention anything, I would just recommend getting a proper coffee machine for fresh coffee as opposed to the an automatic coffee maker. We are definitely planning on returning next year!

We spent almost a week at the Atlantic Resort and it was lovely. We had a beautiful room in a bungalow overlooking the sea. It was kept very clean, towels were changed daily

Pool area was also kept very clean, the food as an all inclusive was high quality both lunch and dinner. Lots of entertainment for children even in the evening

The ice cream, however, was a bit bland, though the banana and strawberry flavors were quite good! - Sunbeds: The sunbeds were top-notch—high-end, new, and incredibly comfortable, adding to the overall relaxation

The rooms are very big clean and beautifully decorated. The view is so beautiful to the mountains and to the sea. The stuff is so friendly and good with the customers

Best staff ever. Swimming pools and gardens really well kept. The cleaning staff did a great job. The all inclusive buffet had always new and fresh dishes. We wish we could stay longer!!!

Still currently here, the manager Stavros is a great guy along with all his staff. Even being from Scotland we are treated no different no matter what other reviews say. We will be booking for next year also

We were on "all inclusive" and for the first time I actually checked out with a 20EUR bill after 10 days, which means that unlike in many other places where the small print will cost you dearly, here we really ate and drank as much as we wanted

I would highly recommend both for families (they have a fenced kiddie-pool and lifeguard on the beach) and also for couples (just take one of the rooms with private or swim up pool and you can have all the tranquility you like)

We stayed in a pool suite and loved it very much! A huge plus is that kids are welcome! The staff was very kind and patient with our daughter even when she spilled her drink :)

The rooms & facilities are clean (and I mean very clean - they disinfect even the sunbeds daily!) and the staff was just incredibly friendly and helpful

Location is great (directly on the beach with beautiful sunsets) the hotel is newly refurbished with lovely décor and high quality furnishing

Excellent facilities , nice room, nice location, nice food! The only problem was that some people that work there were very unhelpful! I should ask for something 10 times before I could see results! The only people that knew their job was Eirini at the reception, Kwstas at the restaurant and the boys at the pool bar

Nice spacious rooms, good food. Not enough waiting Staff, Kids playground indoor and outdoor old/broken. Not enough sunbeds on the beach. A la carte restaurant serves food from the Buffet.

They have good option for all inclusive but if you want to explore beaches BB or HB is all you need, because the good ones are 1-2 hours dive in one direction from the hotel

I had no expectations because already once in Greece the hotel was a disaster despite the higher price and good reviews. But the hotel exceeded expectations. Beautiful quiet hotel, not far from the beach

I stayed there for 5 days with group of my friends. Rooms were clear and the equipment was everything we needed. Swimming pool and cocktails in bar were amazing too. Owners and staffs were very pleasant and nice to guest

Excellent place - good value for money. We had a great balcony overclooking the swimming pool, the apartament was comfortable and cosy. The swimming pool was perfect - clean, warm and deep (2.7m) We love it!

There were 3 bins in the room, which made it a lot easier to keep the room tidy. The bins were taken out everyday and beds were also made everyday. The kitchenette has most utensils and cooking equipment

Spaces in the car park appear to have been marked at different times, as some of the spaces block other cars in, which I'd witnessed, and on 1 of the nights I watched 2 cars drop people off and then leave because there weren't any spaces left

But at the beach front there are plenty of spaces, and that is a very short walk away from the back entrance of the hotel. It was very close to a shingle beach and a stretch of hotels and shops, and the tourist train

Fridge also had a freezer shelf. There was a dining table and chairs, a dressing table, a sofa bed to sleep 1 person, a double bed and on the balcony there was a small table and chairs. Balcony was of a decent size

I have been going there for the summer the last 3 years and I can say that they have made a really spendid job with making the rooms more modern and the hotel staff is very friendly in any situation!

Keep in mind that the hotel is next to the main road, so naturally the (cheaper) rooms facing north (towards the road or "mountain view") are more noisy and sitting on the balcony is less pleasing

The terrace restaurant is open all day, they serve snacks but also fresh traditional Greek dishes and meat from the grill. Food is okay, on par with most tourist oriented restaurants in Maleme

The hotel and the rooms are a bit dated, but well maintained and reasonably priced. The sea view/pool view room was quiet and had a very nice view from the balcony, especially in the evenings

The family and staff is very friendly and always helpful, they let us keep one of our rooms on checkout day free of charge so we could leave our luggage there and use the pool all day

I would recommend the Albatros as a base for exploring the island and the beaches, for hanging out at the pool in the afternoons/evenings and the occasional snack in the restaurant

My first visit to Crete in 2000 and this was our hotel , the breakfast was poor but it didn’t matter cause the island is a wonderful place , I would love to go back again

The staff is friendly, you feel welcome in this hotel. The food is very tasty and varied. Rooms are clean, a special plus is the first coastline, our room was right on the beach 😍 The rating is definitely 5/5

The place is just perfect! Situated not more than 100m from the sea. Clean, lovely, comfortable rooms, seriously delicious local food. Everyday you've been served some different local meals

I advise families with children, you will not regret it. There are always free sunbeds on the sea and near the pool. The food is excellent and varied. The rooms are decent, no complaints

Everything was really really good. Food is great, always a good choice, maybe not that big choice like in Egypt/Turkey hotels, but the quality is much better

We have just returned from a week stay and we had the best time! All the staff from the hotel were incredibly welcoming and helpful! The restaurant staff were so welcoming and the kids looked forward to dinner time immensely! They loved the games room and all the activities around the hotel! We played tennis and golf! The hotel is clean and well looked after

It is definitely a family place and if someone is looking for loud parties and the possibility of partying hard, this is not the right address (but you can always take a bus that leaves from the hotel every 30 minutes and go to nearby Platanias where there is no shortage of such attractions) Most of the loud attractions ended at 10 pm (a big plus for me!)

The beach by the hotel is not the most beautiful - gray, volcanic sand and a lot of small stones (it didn't bother me and did not require special shoes, but more sensitive people or children should stock up on them), apart from that the water was very pleasant

The village was so good because there is good swimming pool and delicious breakfast!!😍 And the service is very kind and helpful! Me and my niece want thank Dimitri for good service and nice talking

Great location if you don’t want to be in the middle of town. Good food in the restaurant and the staff in the restaurant and bar are very kind and friendly. The staff in the reception was very welcoming and amazing

Friendly service, clean rooms are surrounded by beautiful flowers, shrubs and trees. Very good location for discavering the western part of the island by a car. The only disappointment is the kitchen equipments

Nice Village, location near to famous beaches balos, elafonissi, falasarna. Good for childs with nice swim pools. Rally kind barman and pool wather.

We spent the last night of our weeks holiday at this resort as a treat. The room was very good - very clean. Some excellent perks such as welcome drinks / cocktails and a bottle of wine

The breakfast was good but I was told I could not take my coffee out from the breakfast area - whatever we had had to be consumed there. Bearing in mind the pool can literally be 5 steps away from the breakfast area

Would we go back again - maybe - the layout and rooms and gifts were very good

Since not everything is perfect, towards the end of our stay, the room next door got occupied and I could hear them being intimate, so thin the walls are! The cleaning lady filled the shower gel container with water, and did not refill the lotion

Great stay at the Minoa Palace. The hotel facilities are great and never felt over crowded, although the hotel was fully booked. The swimming pools and the beach are perfect. Spa is really nice, a bit expensive

The food choices are amazing, a massive buffet both at breakfast & dinner, although dinner varies every evening, according to themes (Greek, Grill, Italian. Room, bed and bedlinen were very comfortable

We didn't try other hotels, but we imagine this being one of the best in the area

Unbelievable beautiful place!! Short walk to a beautiful beach, pool for small children, and 2 other pools. Bar at the pool, good food, great breakfast with what ever you want, yogurt, milk bread cornflakes

The rooms were also nice, with small kitchens equipped with everything you need for making food. The location was perfectly placed next to a shopping and dining street with all conceivable options available close by

There's A/C in all major parts of the room, as well as balconies. Every day there's maids coming to clean the room and fix the beds. You have to do the plates and glasses yourself though

This is without a doubt the best all inclusive resort I have been to in a long while. The rooms, facilities, food, beverages, and most of all staff helpfulness is way beyond 5-star quality

The Wife and I spent a few nights nights here during our "babymoon" in early September. The place was very well kept, the 1st floor room was excellent walking right out to the pool

Plenty of umbrellas and chairs but not cluttered around the edge of the pool which is nice. Just a heads up the beach is loose, rounded rock like much of the coast but it's still very nice to swim and lay on chairs

Nice, friendly and easy. Good location close to everything. Nice view from the balcony. Not crowded when we visited in May. Don't forget ear plugs if you are sensitive to noise.

The hotel as is ok. We had an apartment below grund which was ok big, but not very cosy. Cleaning was meh, but the people were very nice. Perfect pool for the whole family is one extra star.

Excellent hotel! The rooms spacious with a lovely view of the pool, we could sit outside and relax or swim. Also the windows were soundproof so no matter the noise or music outside, the rooms were peaceful

The bartrender Angelo was an Angel from above. The bar was a pleasure to hang out, he is so friendly and make the best drinks I have ever drank. You have to visit and say Hello from Kimberlee to Angelo

Good hotel and very helpful staff, the cleaningladies are very nice and happy! If you are there more than 7 days you will get tired of the breakfastbuffé let alone 7 days the juice ia barely juice and tastes very synthetic

We had a nice spacey room with sea view. We stayed there for one night, which was quite expensive, but for a family with kids this is definitely a place to visit. Very good bathroom and shower and good quality beds.

Hotel apt was clean and comfortable and staff is alwas nice and ready to help. Be aware the beach is not for children , it is really deep right after you step in the water

Finding sand and stones on the floor after service left was a joke, we had to call 2 times for them to even come to clean. Dirty cups, floor, terrace, also took and threw from our room a good fruit, just a joke for us

Really nice hotel with plenty of good facilities and a great layout. The pool is enormous and well lit so it really stands out at night and the private beach is a lovely touch. The food does let it down though

The buffet can become quite tiresome and repetitive and the food quality is certainly not the best

Martin from the animation/entertainment team was great! We all really enjoyed the daily darts game! Theodora (training captain) in the buffet restaurant was amazing, my 10 month old daughter absolutely loved her

Even outside the resort the local businesses were so friendly and not pushy for sales, in fact they gave us free drinks and gifts for our children! Can not recommend this resort and the area enough!

We had the best week last week at Porto Platanias Beach Resort. Our two girls, 4 and 7 had such a great time at the mini club, it was a sanctuary for our red haired girl who often needed a break from the sun

Location is mad convenient to explore all the west part of crete. The rooms are cozy, up to date, clean, have nice view and easy access from the outside. People working there are friendly, knowledgeable and helpful

The hotel doesn not offer the entertainment options desired by most families and was therefore just visited by couples. If you are not by car a bus stop to Chania is just a 5 minute walk away

On the other hand, you can hear the strong waves, as we experienced during our stay. Although we traveled with our older kids, we enjoy the peace and quiet

Drinks in the hotel bar are way overpriced paid 8€ for a cocktail that was served in a juice cup and was less than half full! In saying that accommodation is adequate, location is good as it's close to everything and bus service to Chania is brilliant at 2

Of the 10 nights we only had dinner twice in the hotel as the food was not of a good standard, this added extra costs to our holiday as we had to pay for dinner elsewhere

We were half board and would not book as half board again,breakfast is good with wide variety of options however dinner was a total disaster

Nice hotel in Platanias, very close to the beach. The restaurant is next to the beach, you can also overlook the Playground for the kids. There is a great "greek night" with dinner and show once a week

Our room is a good size for two people and we have a nice sea view on the pool facing side. On this side there's no sun on the balcony until late afternoon. But it's a godsend as it's also nice when a breeze blows
