Hotels on first line in Platanias

Great place for a family vacation. Lots of pools. Good food. All animation is in English.

We came as a family of 4 with a 4 year old and 3 month old. The hotel is decent for a family break. Pools and slides very good for the kids and for an all inclusive the food wasn’t too bad although repetitive

Went on business but turned out to be a memorable fuse of business and vacation for a good one week

As other reviews state, snack bar serving pizza/gyros/burgers which is decent. Drinks mainly all self serve, typical for an all inclusive, local brands but ok

Got to the room, and the bathroom was left in a disgusting state by whoever was before us, toilet and shower etc… dirty towels all over the bathroom still. No one had even changed towels in between family’s

Receptionist eventually sent a cleaner to sort it out but we obviously had to wait for this so wasted probably an hour and half in total messing about just to have a quick shower before transfer

The food was delicious for any meal and snacks were great by the pool too for All inclusive. We have some food allergies in the family and they were accommodating and helpful to be sure we had all we needed

While the inclusions of play parks, multiple pools, baby beds and a daycare are nice considerations they do not overcome the multiple shortcomings we have noticed in our first few hours here

Time will tell if we get bored of the salad bar within our week long stay. The sea view from the main restaurant is very nice and quite peaceful

Last but not least, while the resort offers many activities, one of them is a mini-disco currently keeping my eldest up as it is quite loud and easily heard from our room. Overall, we expected more for 3000 euros a week

The glass showers do not fully close or the stairs are to work to be efficient leading to spilling and wet floors; also the drain cover is loose and flow is slow resulting in a piece of plastic floating around

The buffet was well furnished with various options of meats, fish, salads, sides and desserts. Although there are vegetarian options, they are clearly less varied and refined

Stayed 6 nights in a pool view room which we were upgraded to. Had a beautiful view from the 2nd floor. The bedroom and bathroom were both very spacious and clean. The buffet breakfast was excellent

I especially appreciated the multiple swimming pools with plenty of space to relax and enjoy. I highly recommend this hotel and would definitely stay here again

The bottle of wine offered in the room, and the complimentary welcome cocktail drinks.

Was fresh every morning and had a very large variety of hot and cold dishes and sweets. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. Overall a pleasant stay in a beautiful property

We got the room at the lowest ground which was a bit dark but travelling with a toddler was very handy as we weren’t woken up at the sunrise 😅 and the bushes around the balcony (we complained about them at first) turned out to be very handy at evenings when we sat there during heavy wind

We still could enjoy the quiet evening there without freezing. Rooms are fully equipped with toaster, coffee maker fridge freezer and table for 4 ppl. Room was cleaned every day with fresh towels

Starting from reception, everyone was very friendly and helpful. We were offered to leave baggage’s at the reception and stuff will take them to the room

Very happy my first holiday in years. I took a long time scanning the Internet for a destination and I chose this 👌 I must say I was happy. Jet2 were fantastic and I will use them again also

We spent some holidays in a past years in a hotels better and worst and we had some sort of level of everything that we didn’t want go lower

The main point - food was absolutely amazing! There was nothing we didn’t like and we are picky eaters. Loads of choices from meat, fish, veggie, and seasoned perfectly. The local corner was our favourite

In 5 minutes bakery with ice cream and coffee, beach, shops, bars, bus station to Chania There is also amazing bar in the hotel and relax zone. Highly recommend to stay in this place

We have been in Oscar Suites for a week. The location is super nice and the apartments are also very good. It's nice they have two pools and a fitness. The employees are very very nice and helpful

The hotel located in the very nice area, the beach is just across the street and there are a lot of great restaurants around

The rooms maybe a but outdated but that is in no way an issue when you consider free parking, free air conditioning, decent breakfast and a wonderful service. Definitely choose these folks

The owner is very kind and gave us a helpful advice regarding the area and places to see during our day. I would recommend this place to anyone, looking for peaceful vacation in Greece

We stayed there for our honeymoon for 7 days, and it was INCREDIBLE! Beautiful resort with everything you need, friendly staff, delicious delicious food! We booked the Executive Suite, it is two stories with a hot tub and a big balcony overlooking the pool and sea

We spent four days in the hotel at the end of the season. Accomodations ware great, food is good and the stuff gave us a home like fealing. We rented the big room with jacuzzi and it was great

Excellent hotel with delicious breakfast and very friendly staff (especially the younger receptionist). Tables to have breakfast lunch dinner basically on the beach. Comfortable and very clean rooms

Sunbeds are also not available at the pool on most mornings despite the pool not opening until 9am the sunbeds are all occupied well before that time

Nice area, clean, wonderful Beach for small children too. Great breakfast in the restaurant. Wonderful view to the sea.

Nice hotel in Platanias, very close to the beach. The restaurant is next to the beach, you can also overlook the Playground for the kids. There is a great "greek night" with dinner and show once a week

Nice Hotel just on the beach. Just perfect because it is not too much nor too less. Recommended absolutely.

If you have to sit at the hotel beach you must pay 5€ for the beds, this is unacceptable for hotel guests to have to pay this fee

Cons: The beds are a bit to hard for me, as I could feel the springs into my skinny back

Excellent food in the restaurant, a lot of dietary dishes for children, a variety of the diet were changed every day. Two nice pools with sea views. All the amenities in a walking distance. Will definitely go here again!

Perfect place for a family holiday, the hotel on the first line, 20 meters from the beautiful sea, the magnificent sandy beach

Hotel apt was clean and comfortable and staff is alwas nice and ready to help. Be aware the beach is not for children , it is really deep right after you step in the water

The beach is the gravel type!!! We had to travel 8 km towards Chania everyday where is sandy beach and calm water!!!

We had a nice spacey room with sea view. We stayed there for one night, which was quite expensive, but for a family with kids this is definitely a place to visit. Very good bathroom and shower and good quality beds.

Beach is as close to the hotel it can be and is quite rocky the first 2-3 meters in the water. It gets deep very fast so be careful if you children

Hi everyone, we been to the Marika hotel in Platanias few days ago whit my wife and some friends, it's lovely hotel friendly staff and I highly recommends for all who have plans to go on Crete for holiday, from me and my wife 5 stars, nice clean rooms , pools are perfect for the adults and for the children, good service and friendly staff at the pizzeria and down to the restaurant near the beach, we...

The best part of the hotel was it's view. We took a sea view room and it was perfect. The rooms were clean and the hotel staff was courteous. The breakfast at the restaurant waves had good variety even for vegetarians

The sea view with breakfast made it even more memorable. The Italian restaurant at the hotel is amazing too. I would recommend this hotel if you are looking for a good stay for a reasonable price

I think it would have been a good idea to include air condition and perhaps also towels for use by the pool, especially during high season. But we knew this was an extra cost before we arrived, so it wasn't an issue

We didn't use it as we always prefer the beach, that's a personal choice. We were treated very well by the staff and it was nice and quiet. We were satisfied with the price and what we got for it aswell

5 minutes from the beach. 6 minute bus ride or a 40 minute Wallin along the beach to get to Chania Old Town - location was great for us.

In summary, we had a taste of Greek hospitality where the communication is like talking to distant family members. The location is 10 mins away from Chania with a car, 15 with a bus and 35 by walking

The beaches nearby were probably the best we saw near Chania and there are several good taverns. The pool was big enough and there's plenty of sunbeds around. The garden is massive and very well maintained

U could take the bus to get everywhere, bit to Chania City we always took a Taxi, it’s about 10 mins drive and costs only 10€! We really loved the Pool area and we highly recommend the Pizza at the Poolbar! It was better than the ones u get in the pizza places :D (-) We would’ve liked some Pingpong/Pool Table at the Pool area !

Surrounded by olives, bougainvillea and other lovely Cretean trees and plants. Located just a 5 minutes walk to the sea and adjacent to the the best restaurant in Chania, the Sterna

Great value, just to add the air conditioning is extra €8 per day but much needed at this time of year

Pros: - The outside lawn, garden and pool looks beautiful. - Perfect location near different beaches, restaurants and mini markets

Very nice accommodation, cleaned daily, very quiet. All the staff very friendly especially the cleaner Maria and the gardener. Ideally situated only 5 minutes to the beach and 5 minutes to the many bars and restaurants

Pool area is small like hotel itself but again clean and comfortable. Pool bar was not open at all during our stay. Aircondition was in both rooms; living and bed rooms, and worked well

Nice, calm, clean and central place in Platanias. Great to have a pool close to the apartment. They charge extra (only possible to pay these extras in cash) for air condition (10€ per day) and for safety box in the room

We stayed in the newly refurbished rooms which were lovely and clean and very nicely refurbished. The pool area and beach were lovely but we didn't have time to use these facilities

Friendly staff, good beachbar/poolarea and nice location. But bad aircondition, very hot at night in the room. And in the reception/common areas. Breakfast was mediocre with narrow selection

You can sit where you want for breakfast, unlike Porto Platanias. Great breakfast that you can take to the seaside. Two large rooms, including kitchenette, two air conditioners, balcony

Superior room was really nice and had perfect beds. Even the extra bed in the room was really comfortable. Room was very clean and has a good air condition. And so were pool bar with snack and drinks

6 Two TVs -- one large TV with Netflix, YouTube, etc. The only con I list is that the parking is a small dirt road, which gets your car very dusty and dirty

Also very friendly staff there. The pool area was clean and nice. The location was perfect and near everything (bus station, mini train station, restaurants, Agia Marina and Platanias)

We got a lovely apartment with a beautiful seaview. 5 Minutes from a beautiful beach and a 20 min bus ride from chania centre Local supermarkets and restaurants close by

The hotel is a steps from a great beach and located very close to two other excellent cove style beaches where the waters were calm everyday. The hotel itself was tucked in a small neighborhood that always felt safe

The hotel was spotless and rooms were spacious with all the amenities you would need on a trip. Provided parking made life easy after long adventure days, much easier than in old town Chania

We stayed here 1 night, and we loved it. The room was very spacious, a crib was installed as asked, the owners extremely friendly and helpful, they arranged the transfer from the airport

If you happen to not have a car, the bus stop is a 5 minute walk away to take you anywhere you need. I would absolutely stay here again

Very nice to spend all day on the beach. There is a bar and restaurant, they cook very nice and tasty. The staff care all day, very friendly. For 2 sunbeds and an umbrella you pay 6 EUR/all day

Amazing service and amazing people but most of all amazing location.. the beach is in ur back yard and youre surrounded by shops and restaurants!! Even tattoo shops and arcades! Simply perfect all around.

LCD in each room which can be used with a Google Chromecast or Amazon firestick and there is WiFi. Pool was perfect for the kids along with toys. Will definitely recommend to others

It is a cozy hotel, with a nice pool area and a great location. If you go 5 minutes to the left you’ll reach our favorite bar Tropicano and of course much more. The best thing about the hotel was definitely the staff

My friend and I are two girls from Denmark, who spend 1 week in Agia Marina and stayed in Epimendis hotel. Our flat consisted of 1 bedroom, 1 dining room with a small kitchen, 1 bathroom, and 2 outside sitting areas

We enjoyed to make our own breakfast and there were plenty of shops nearby the hotel witch made it easy to get groceries. It is not a 5 stars hotel, but you get good value for the money

Very friendly and helpful people. The lovely receptionist help us with renting a car and because of her we got a great discount. Also she help us book a boat trip. If we needed anything they were available to us

A shortcut to the beach was easy to find and it took only some minutes to get there. Two supermarkets within 150 m and many tavernas close by, too

Love the staff and the can-do-fix-it attitude that you find here. Even non-alcohol drink was easy to fix which is quite unusual in this area
