Casa Dei Delfini

Casa Dei Delfini is full of charm, perfectly located in the old town—quiet, yet close to shops, tavernas, and the harbor. Our room was clean, comfortable, and had lovely traditional touches. Each morning started with a delicious homemade breakfast in the peaceful courtyard, which really added to the experience. Konstantinos was a wonderful host—so warm, welcoming, and full of great local recommendations. We felt truly looked after. Highly recommend this special place!

The historic, or the room with a view?
The Casa dei Delfini is a credit to the owners, who have restored their two buildings with care and sensitivity for their historical roots. They have brought light into the buildings, while preserving their authenticity. Our hosts made the first contact with us, and responded to our messages quickly. Konstantinos was kind and informative, and his mother was fantastic in her enthusiasm for the restoration and care of the buildings. We had the generous and tasty breakfast one day and recommend it. Our rooms at the top of the hotel gave us a glorious view of Rethymno and its Fortezza. Konstantinos helped us get our heavy suitcases up the steps. You can stay on level one or two in the older rooms, or like us, stay on the top floor to take advantage of the magnificent view of the town and the mountains.

Terrific location in the pedestrian-centric old town, quiet room, comfortable bed, excellent amenities, attractive room, and extra-helpful staff. (We hit a cold spell on the day of a planned trip into the mountains, and were able to borrow a warm vest for my wife.) We stayed three nights and really enjoyed having this as our home base. There are only nine rooms, so book early. Note: Breakfast isn't served until the season begins, in April. That was a disappointment. That said, being on Crete in the off-season is a pleasure.

Boutique hotel in Old Town
Great location in Old Town. Room was perfect. Loved the bed. Very quaint. Only sad part was the rain:(

Parking is difficult. No cars are allowed in the Old City so you will probably have to walk about 300m or so to reach the hotel. We were advised that there was street parking, a free lot, and a pay lot a shot met distance away, but everything was always full and we were there in Dec. Also there is a market in one of the lots on Thursdays, so no parking there.
Other than the parking (for us) the location is near several restaurants and shops and the room was new and very comfortable and well equipped.

Accommodation with lots of character in top location !

A gorgeous address in the old town of Rethymno ! This boutique hotel has a 5 stars service, many little attentions from the owner make a big difference in such family house ! He is a talented architect and has a true taste for beautiful lights and stones. My wife and I had an amazing time there, 3 days of quiet luxury, simplicity and care. Worth to have a visit…

Very good atmosphere and very cozy. The access to the kitchen is a bit low. You have to watch your head. Overall, highly recommended. Great value for money.
