Me and my family love this hotel. It is probably the best family vacation we have had so far. It is a little pricey, but it's totally worth it. The food is delicious and the location is excellent! Lovely service, great space, beautiful view. The beach/sea isn’t the nicest for Greek standards but it’s still quite lovely. It’s deep so not ideal with toddlers/ young kids. I would have loved some traditional Cretan food options in one of the restaurants and a few more options for food at the beach. For a Hotel that claims to be 5 star, the rooms are simply not good enough. The inside of the hotel, especially rooms could use some work. In addition it was zero sound isolation both from the hallway and street so I cannot recommend this really. Service, breakfast and pool area was decent.

The rooms were very clean, cleaned everyday after leaving the room. If needed service was given to satisfaction. The stay at Plaza Beach was a fantastic experience. The staff were polite and the room was cleaned regularly. The staff were approachable and provided a professional service. We had paid for half board so we saw them twice a day at least. Reception staff were helpful when the transfer was not confirmed by my travel agency.

The apartment we visited was nice. The kitchen had a dishwasher, oven, stove, and a microwave oven. The dining table was a bit small, but four could eat around it quite well. We were upgraded from the Minos Hotel to the Ambassador accross the street. Everything is new, the staff is great and the location is nice. Rooftop bar and restaurant. The only downside was that the SPA was not yet opperational, but since we were not supposed to have access to it in the first place it was not a problem.

A wonderful brand new hotel in the center of Rethymno city. The staff was friendly and accommodated every request that we had during our stay. They provided us a free upgrade in a 60 sqm suite which was beautiful. The decoration of the hotel is really nice. We had a delicious dinner in roof top restaurant where breakfast is also served. From the moment we arrived late on Friday 11th August 2017 a very welcoming meal was waiting, the gentleman on reception did not rush us he explained everything about the Hotel from meal times , bar opening times down to day's you could change towels nothing was to much trouble. I would like to thank all the staff for a wonderful holiday all staff for making our holiday a lovely experience. Very kind allowing my daughter to sing downstairs to practice for her first gig, which was very successful. We thought this hotel was really nice especially for the price. Very good value! The room we had was well designed, plenty of storage and we had a large balcony overlooking the city and the pool. Walkable distance to Rethymno old town (15min), clean and spacy rooms (Delux). Bathroom ventilation is a problem and not enough hangers. Reception service is great, restaurant service is ... meh ...

The hotel is in a very good place, not too far from the old city, and close enough to the beach. The room was clean and comfy, just like in the pictures.The food is great, every nation find it's own taste but there is local food every day too.The staff is very kind, i can only say positive things about this hotel.Loved it!

Perfect holiday, the staff was really nice and the food was great. We were a group of 7 people and everyone of us was please with the service and location.

4/5 and this is me being very generous. I will split it into categories: Food - 5/5 - We had half-board service and the food was excellent. We are not eating vegan, gluten-free or any specific type of diet so I am not sure how it would work for someone that would need that. Rooms - 2/5 - We spend so little time in rooms so this should be easy 5/5 as we don't demand a lot, just for rooms to be clean...
