The larger pool is in the centre of the building, this doesn't open until 10:30 and you have to queue up from about 10am to get one of the very limited sunbeds

The drinks are quite strong and not watered down like you might get at other hotels with all inclusive. The hotel has its own section of beach with a lot of lounge chairs for sunbathing

We stopped at the restaurant. Excellent food. Waiters are just perfect. Decent prices. Recommended to have on your list for fine dining/lunch

There is also a Bistro cafe and an A La Carte restaurant on site, both facing the beach, and at the right time you can catch a lovely sunset too

This is on a busy main beach road. There are sun beds on the "deck" area. You have to be up at the crack of dawn to get one of these

Addressing the challenge from people that place towels and disappear for hours. I love the fact that you try to challenge this issue, even though it's a tough battle - Kudos for that

Thalassa Boutique Hotel

The location is stunning as it is right on the beach and their restaurant looks out over the sea which is very romantic

Excellent hotel on the sea front. Just a bit of a pity that the beach area was a bit lacking for such a quality hotel.

The property is located right on the beach, where the waves are constantly breaking. The room was beautiful with a bathroom next to the bed upstairs. And you always look at the sea

Probably the best sea view restaurant in Retimno, the staff are very welcoming, the food is delicious, highly recommend to visit if you are in Retimno

Bueno Hotel

Had a very enjoyable week at Bueno. A quiet street, 1 min from beach. Bar is friendly with lots of comfy seats and happy staff. This hotel has everything we need on our holidays

Absolute gem of a place. Just perfect for relaxing and enjoying the Sun. Beach within 1min walk. Fantastic staff, specially candy and Ellie.

Beautiful hotel flowers everywhere, quiet location three minute amble to the beach owners so friendly and welcoming , excellent.

my dear i recently spent holidays in crete. I stayed with my wife and two children at the Bueno Hotel. We were greeted by a nice old lady, probably the mother of the owner. The hotel itself is worth three stars

Plenty of beers and cocktails at the bar served by Ella and a great time was had by all. Nice quiet location off the main road. George also provided a delicious chocolate cake for our grandsons birthday

Just had a week at this hotel with all the family. The staff were lovely, George, Ella and Mrs Joanna. They could not have done more to help in the circumstances

Odyssia Beach Hotel

But anyway - with some creativity one could reschedule and move to the beach area, where sunbeds were available for quite a fair price (Between 5 to 7 Euros per day for two sunbeds and a parasol)

I did not stay at this hotel, just been to their beach and they got the most friendly and serviceminded staff at the beach. If possible, I would give 10 stars for their effort to make every guest feel good at the beach

We spent two weeks in Odyssia Beach Hotel in Late July and Early August. Most guests during that time were german-speaking with occassional french and dutch guests

Combined with the fact, that it is the only area where sunbeds were free of charge, the place tended to be rather crowded

It was our third stay in the hotel and we really enjoyed. A special thanks to the kind Sophia serving our cappuccino every evening. The massages in the hotel spa are also very good and the spa ladies are very nice

We saw here dancing and would love to see a Salsa Show in the evening entertainment of our hotel (maybe it's possible next year ?♡) We hope Nora will be here next year again!!!

Super nice and small boutique hotel. Spacious rooms, that are brand new. Very good location close to everything. The hotel has a beach access with sunbeds

Literally one of the best places we have stayed! Beach is perfect with excellent service, beautiful clean pool, gorgeous pool, delicious breakfast, excellent hostess!!!! Wish we had stayed longer.

Beach located right across the street where the hotel has beach beds. Supermarkets, restaurants, and stores nearby. Staff were lovely offering top-notch service and hospitality

Very helpful and friendly staff! Nice rooms that fit the price, clean. Location is great near the beach. 15 min walk to the old town.

Also the location of the hotel is also optimal, direct by the beach and a 20 minute walk to the city center

Amazing host and so friendly, hotel is gorgeous and in great location. We loved it! The only think that our room glass surfaces in the bathroom wasn’t cleaned and the sheet was a bit dirty but they changed it other day

Pretty good hotel. Great food (different every day), very good pool, clean rooms. The beach is only few steps over the road.

Simple but clean hotel. Friendly staff. Eat normally, but the same daily and therefore monotonous. But on the same Sri there are many nice restaurants.

Petradi Beach Lounge Hotel

Just down the beach is a cool bar/resturaunt called "Jungle Bar" so if you don't want to leave the area all day, you don't have to. Would highly recommend, and if in the area, would stay here again

Those people, the view, the distance to the old part of town, the see, the price!! Outrageous!!! Unbelievable! I think we couldn't have had it better than that. When Crete - definately comming back here!!! For sure!!

This place was absolutely perfect. Our room had a perfect view, the pool is great, with direct beach access. The water when we were there was warm, and extremely calm at low tide, you can walk out into the sea for ages

It's 5 Euros into town, as this place is on the opposite side of the town from the main "party tourist" sandy beach area, which we prefer

Very nice hotel with great laid back vibes, awesome swimming pool area, breathtaking view of Rethymno fortress and many more other positives. Excellent cleaning service, tasty food and beverages

small and cozy hotel right on the beach! All rooms have breathtaking seaview! You feel like home from the first second you arrive! Homemade breakfast every day and delicious light snacks next to the sea!

My wife and I had a delightful time. Great breakfast, gorgeous private beach and lovely, helpful staff. Rooms are a bit small but they have all the amenities and the balconies compensate tremendously.

This is a really nice small hotel. The owners are very polite and make you feel like home. The breakfast was really good and had everything you needed

The rooms are a little bit small but the view and the cleaning added value, so we loved it

Nice hotel just outside Rethymno. The only bad detail is the bathroom which could use some renovation. The family which runs the hotel is super friendly! Free parking spot is at 200 metres from the place.

Clean room, very easy to find, perfect that they have a parking spot and very friendly hosts that also (Eva) makes sandals or upgrades a pair you already have, which she did, beautifully ???

Welcome to ancient Greece, elegant and refined place, ideal for couples. Top service, The waiters do not seem to be there but when you are about to finish the wine in the glass they have already filled it

So always present at the right time. The food was fantastic, fresh and tasty like the Greek land. Great price: bottle of wine, two appetizers, two first courses, water and covered for a total of 30 euros each

The nice thing is that with 60 euros you eat delicious things seeing the sea and the rocks

Hotel at the end of a dead end which does not look like much, but what a pleasant surprise with regard to the view and the warmth of the service

In addition, the hotel restaurant is top (brilliant setting and very good food)

Also, it would have been nice to have coffee and tea available in the rooms since there is no staff available until 9:00. But I must say the staff was quite friendly and helpful, absolutely no complaints with them at all

Smaragdi Boutique Hotel

Booked this place for my mother, and the best part about the hotel was the owner a woman named Smaragdi. She was extremely accommodating and friendly and made my mother's stay lovely

Also important to note, though the hotel is right above numerous loud restaurants, you cannot hear a THING at night. Thanks to thick stone walls the rooms are dead silent

Besides the great people there, the rooms themselves are spacious and well done, with large beds and other nice amenities

Generously bought her a souvlaki from downstairs the first night, and made and had Greek coffee with her in the morning

The villa is situated on top of a mountain so you always have a nice breeze but above all lots of privacy and a beautiful view. We have already rented this villa 3 times in the preseason and in the summer period

Villa Ikaros is a wonderful villa to stay in the early season but also in the summer period. The villa has 3 lovely bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, giving you more than enough room for a large family

Room service every 3 days, pool service every 2 -3 days. But it is probably normal in Crete
