Fantastic hotel in a great location,all the staff were terrific. Definitely recommended.My only criticism would be the bathroom in my room,poorly fitted shower head,and when you had a shower then water came back up through the drain in floor

What an absolute gem. There is nothing bad about this place. Centrally located in the old town, an abundance of restaurants and shops at your fingertips. Overlooking the fortress. Walking distance to harbour and beach. Hotel staff friendly and super helpful, spotlessly clean. Fabulous pool and plentiful breakfast. Would recommend to everyone!

This is a fantastic hotel right on the edge of the old town and within spitting distance of the Fortezza. The pool has a fairly small area around it and I can imagine during the height of summer it gets a bit more difficult to find a sun lounger in the sun but it wasn't a problem mid July.

Booked through Tui and it is spacious, very clean and the staff couldn't be more helpful. Very well appointed and well thought out Covid safety measures.

Was here 3 years ago and it was amazing unfortunately on return this year we have found the evening meal to have gone down hill rapidly , not much choice , doesn't taste of much. Lovely hotel in the historic centre of town. The room was historic and was quiet at night. Hotel staff were helpful in providing a few parking options and we were lucky to get a spot quite nearby.

The hotel could use a bit of renovation, but its location—and above all, the kind and attentive staff—more than make up for any shortcomings. The location of the hotel is very good, the food is good (not many choices but still good), however the rooms are not the best (kinda old, the roof is damaged) and the towels comes dirty, changed every 3 days.

This is already my fourth stay at this hotel, and once again, everything has been perfect. Hotel staff are friendly. Food is delicious and I can't wait to come again! The hotel is also 5 minutes from the beach. The only thing that I can comply is on the loud street noice that comes from the outside, late at night and on earling morning hours.

We've had a very pleasant stay at Hotel Ideon for our holiday. Our first room had a very unpleasant smell, luckily we could transfer to another room as soon as possible. I stayed here for a couple of nights to explore the city before heading to a resort. The interior is beautifully designed with chic boho vibes, giving it the feel of a magazine-worthy 5-star hotel. I was excited to book this hotel but.....as i write this I'm in the hotel room .... It was our first time in Rethymno and we loved the Forest Park Hotel. The view while enjoying the delicious breakfast and dinner was amazing. The staff was very friendly and provided great service. I would book this hotel any time again for my next trip to Crete.

Good hotel as long as you are healthy and fit , hotel is up on a hillside, you can hire a car ,there is one road up through the one way system which winds its way up and back to the hotel, or you can make you way on foot down into rethymno round the old town ,wine and dine and taxi back up.

This is a great hotel, fantastic location and great service. Food is great, rooms are well equipped and clean, regular cleaning and towel changing. It’s a small hotel not crowded, very pleasant and quiet inside. The only downside is the traffic because the area is crowded with cars and motorcycles the whole night. It was our first trip to Crete and Ariadne Hotel was a very good host. Super friendly and helpful staff, very clean, nice swimming pool, 2 minutes walk from the beach. 5 km away from the old city of Rethymno (waiting for the local bus can take up to one hour ), but plenty of good restaurants right next to the hotel.

For me the shower was a little bit uncomfortable, and the bed was noisy, but it's totally worth it for the price. This place is a hidden gem. Located right in the city center, but in a quiet street, it is a beautiful building, with large rooms and a nice pool in the courtyard. The chairs in the courtyard area are perfect for relaxing and chilling while listening to the water trickling (if you are not swimming). The breakfast is good. The staff is warm and welcoming. The check-out at noon is a bonus

Just had a week at this hotel with all the family. The staff were lovely, George, Ella and Mrs Joanna. They could not have done more to help in the circumstances. Plenty of beers and cocktails at the bar served by Ella and a great time was had by all. Nice quiet location off the main road. George also provided a delicious chocolate cake for our grandsons birthday. Thank you all for you wonderful hospitality

my dear i recently spent holidays in crete. I stayed with my wife and two children at the Bueno Hotel. We were greeted by a nice old lady, probably the mother of the owner. The hotel itself is worth three stars. nice service by the poolside bar. in the evening nice Eli poured cold beer and treated peanuts and chips. Calm, no families, great for couples, at the end of the beach walk, not much traffic heard only if you have a room toward the side road. Some things is a bit run down by age, wifi doesn't reach the apartments at the far back since the router is at the reception, electricity can be tricky in some apartments.... but if you look for a chill and calm vacay - sun, bath, chill. We stayed here for two nights. The location in the old town is great, everything is near. The room was clean, with everything you need, even the iron. Wifi was great. One notice to people with car, you can park for free about 5-10 minutes from a hotel, there is parking space by the street right below the fortress. Also, there are paid parkings nearby.
