Hotels with pool and beach in Rethymno

We raised this with Guest Relations, and to her credit, she followed up later in the evening. But the only option offered was to stay in the suite for an additional €144 per night — which we understandably declined

The room we eventually ended up in for the week was fine, it faced another building which didn’t bother us. The room was big enough and clean to a point. The bathroom was dated and well worn

While the room was lovely, we were annoyed — we didn’t want to unpack and repack just to check out and wait around for another room the next day

As for a gesture, showing someone a better room, then taking it away from them doesn’t make sense and inconveniences the start of the holiday

We queried this at check-in but were told there was no alternative. After a long day of travel, we gave in and went to the premium suite

The next day, we stored our bags and later accessed our new room, which, apart from the view, wasn’t hugely different than the suite

My stay at Grecotel Plaza Beach House was outstanding. The staff was extremely welcoming, and looked after me during all my stay. Maria and Vassiliki that offered hospitality at the first place

We had a wonderful week at this hotel. Room was good with a lovely sea view. In particular Michalis who greeted us when we arrived was very helpful and welcoming. Great location with the beach just across the road

(sea view apartment) It wasn't build yesterday, but everything was fine, and I absolutely don't think it's out dated. The room was clean, and we had everything we needed

The hotel location is good for many reasons, first it's beach, which is just across the street (also great service by the waiters there)

Great for families too with a children's pool and you don't have to cross a road to access the beach. There's also a good bus service into Rethymnon and lots of bars, restaurants, and hotels in Missiria

I did not stay at this hotel, just been to their beach and they got the most friendly and serviceminded staff at the beach. If possible, I would give 10 stars for their effort to make every guest feel good at the beach

Special big Thank to Georgios. We were met with a big smile every day, and they helped us with sunbeds, drinks and free water to make sure we did not dehydrate in the sun. I have no problems recommanding this place

It was our third stay in the hotel and we really enjoyed. A special thanks to the kind Sophia serving our cappuccino every evening. The massages in the hotel spa are also very good and the spa ladies are very nice

You can hear the waves whilst in bed 🌊 💤 ! I have particular dietary requirements and the staff accommodated to this and made me feel at ease. 10/10 will definitely be back and will not hesitate to recommend

Had a very enjoyable week at Bueno. A quiet street, 1 min from beach. Bar is friendly with lots of comfy seats and happy staff. This hotel has everything we need on our holidays

There are toilets and a shower available at the hotel when you are on the beach or terrace, which saves you having to go back to your room. Rethymno old town about 25 mins walk

Our room was large ,comfortable and very cool with the much needed air conditioning. Shower was a little small but still useable

Plenty of sunbeds and parasols which were free to use and lots of beach towels available all day. This was a great bonus as many places charge for sunbeds etc

This is a beautiful hotel with excellent, comfy beds, great staff and it's on the sea! The beach nearby is pebbly and it's a 25 minute walk to the old town - not a huge amount to do in the immediate area, but the hotel itself more than makes up for that!

Sea front suite in Rethymno I booked a Jr. suite and it is very nicely appointed. The air conditioning works perfectly

The room is maintained nicely and I had a loft bedroom facing the sea with a small balcony overlooking the sea. The decor was very nice with a living area with sofa, cocktail table

The spa was excellent (and a little expensive) and the view over the ocean relaxing. The beach was on the other side of a road, but that was not a problem as there was a 30 km/h speed limit and pedestrian crossing

For me, having good Wi-Fi throughout the entire hotel and even on the beach was a significant advantage. I could comfortably leave my phone and even my laptop on the sunbed and go swimming for 20-30 minutes

The Aquila Rithymna Beach is rated as a 5 star hotel possibly because of the proximity to the beach, waterpark and children's facilities, it's an ideal family hotel, however in my opinion it isn't suitable for couples or single people

The only thing I didn't like is that even with Ultra all inclusive you had to scan the QR code and check the menu to make sure what you order is included. They should really separate paid and included stuff completely

I loved the balcony and the bathroom. Only bummer is that when you shower, the whole bathroom floor is wet because there isn’t a curtain or system to close the shower. We also had a lot of ants in the room

The only thing I would slightly improve is the hair dryer in the bathroom – it heats up quickly and doesn’t work that well, but it’s just a small detail compared to how great everything else was

The food was delicious, with lots of variety and rich local flavors – special greetings to Chef Fotis for the incredible meals. Everyone working here makes the experience even more enjoyable

The beach is sandy (rare in Europe!) and there is plenty of seating. There is one large swimming pool with ample seating

While the property feels spacious and luxurious, none of the common areas ever felt crowded. There were no lines for breakfast, no rush to reserve pool-side seats, no queue at check-in or out

There are plenty of good rooms and very good service. The beach is with rocks so you need to have swimming shoes. The pool is moderate, but very good. Not so many chairs for lying down near the swimming pool

It’s about a 15-minute walk to the city center. The city beaches on the eastern side of Rethymno are about a half-hour walk away, so in that case, it's more convenient to take the bus

A small beach is near the hotel, old town 15 minutes walk. All in all, a very nice experience

The Atlantis Beach was a good choice for my visit to Rethymnon. A free room upgrade made it even better Lovely pool and hotel beach across the road. Good breakfast selection each day

We enjoyed our stay here. The buffet breakfast and dinner were excellent. We are vegan and could always find healthy options. The staff are very professional and helpful. We also enjoyed the private beach.

Evening meal time there seems to be cats everywhere and for me this a huge No No , not only unhygienic it's not appropiate while people are eating , for me personally being allergic to cats I really don't want to eat here

We are half board and seriously would not do this again as we've found it a waste of money. The place is clean and staff friendly and the facilities are good. But you are better to go bed and breakfast

We found it quite relaxing to lie around the pool. It’s in the busy area of Rethymno town, really close to the beach and about 20 min walk to old town which we went to most evenings

We had superior room with a pool view so the noise wasn't an issue. However, if you are on the third floor during full season, you can forget about showering between 7PM - 8PM. The water pressure is very low

I find it hard to rate this hotel, because it is a bit of a mixed bag. The location is PERFECT, 50 m from the beach. The staff is very nice and helpful. The rooms are outdated, but mostly clean

The hotel staff is nice, the food is delicious, the pool is a bit shallow but suitable for swimming, the hotel's location is excellent, there are many places around the hotel where we can eat various delicious meals, there's also a supermarket nearby, and the beach is practically right under the hotel

They say this hotel is only 3 stars. Staff was super nice and friendly, food was great, reallyclose to the beach and many interesting places to visit by foot. I wish i could live there, can't wait to visit again

Good place, the sea is near, tasty food, enough clean

And the food is where this hotel is really lacking. Over cooked, and if you have food allergies, it's a no-no

The hotel is in a good location, just a few meters from the beach. The hotel is a bit older, the rooms are clean, the staff is friendly and ready to help.

Very mint, small Hotel. Clean Rooms and nicely Employees. The Meals are typical cretan with a lot of regional things. 5 * !

Very friendly stuff and a very nice place to stay. Only limitation is that there were no fruits at breakfast

The pool although small was perfect, lovely little bar as well to grab drinks, not many sunbeds so gets quite full but we mainly went up after breakfast when it was quieter and just as sunny

The hotel is only a stone throw away from old town and a 10 min walk to the beach. Rethymnon was a mixture of lovely restaurants and a lovely old town, but nightlife there as well for those who want it

Fabulous central hotel with great staff and amenities. Everything on hand for a chilled and pleasant stay. Only negative is the rooms are not well soundproofed

but the cleanliness, location, quality of service, food service, very comfy bed and general ambiance more than makes up for

But all in all despite the interesting foods at times, there was always something to eat we enjoyed. Had an amazing time, would reccomend to anyone :)

Overall we would stay here again in a heartbeat; the hotel reception, bathrooms and pool/ bar areas are excellent. The hotel staff are so nice as well. Rooms were cleaned every day and had great AC

The location within the city with all the money; clean beach - those two are the hotel's greatest advantage

Also the sea in the beach is crystal clear, which is almost unbelievable! Provided with the hotelroom you have free access to beach towels, sunbeds, shower and changing rooms just in front of the hotel

Kriti Beach is more than a resort. In front of the beach with sunbeds for the guests, is the ideal location to explore the city. Helpful and polite staff, a hotel we love to stay.

the hotel is very close to the old town and a beautiful beach is just in front. Breakfast was delicious and lots of variety. We got a nice sailing trip by the hotel with a snack and champagne and we enjoyed so much

A tidy and pleasant beachfront hotel close to the old town. Very nice breakfast with a good variety of high quality local produce available. The hotel staff is genuinely friendly and always eager to help

First time visit to Rethymno and The Kriti Hotel. The hotel location to the beach can not be faulted with beach free sun lounges available to residents. Restaurants and bars are also nearby

People are usually staying near pool, so almost all sunbeds are taken (and yes, some guests are still having the habit of leaving a towel on a sunbed but showing up 3 hours later)

On the bright sight, there is plenty of room on the beach and the view is 10 times better. The sea entry is rocky, so it’s better to have swimming shoes with you

But I strongly suggest booking a room with a pool view, where you can enjoy an evening or two on the balcony. We had different menus every day and the choice was just perfect, not too much and not too little

I stayed in this hotel for a week mid-August and it was one of the best vacations I’ve ever had! Obviously, the rooms have everything you need and are very clean and modern

We also went to Rethymno for a day, which is 10 mins drive. The receptionist called us a taxi which cost us 10 euro

You’ll be able to find anything you want no matter whether you are vegetarian, pescatarian, carnivore etc

She is so polite, kind and helpfull at any question and help that we need… She was good presenter of hotel, Rethymno city and Cretan’s culture and I think she will be good manager in the future! Best Regards for her, and all other stuff in Hotel!

The hotel could use a bit of renovation, but its location—and above all, the kind and attentive staff—more than make up for any shortcomings

I can't thank the team enough for always being there to help with beach recommendations depending on the wind, transportation tips, and any questions we had

Food is delicious and I can't wait to come again! The hotel is also 5 minutes from the beach

Around 15min walk to the city beach,but the bus station is really near the hotel so you can go to that or any other beach. Of course the hotel would use some renovation,but for now we were satisfied with our stay

The rooms are clean but the furniture is a bit old. Close to the old town and bus station. About 15 minutes walk to the city beach

I agree some refurbishment would be beneficial but this does not detract from the excellent value the hotel offers its guests. My thanks for a wonderful stay

Importantly breakfasts are always delightfully delicious with sufficient variety to please all tastes

Special thanks have to go to the hotel manager, Mrs Tatiana, who was very kind, and did everything in her power to solve a problem during the second day of our stay. She succeeded to make us feel grateful towards her

Must have been the best hotel manager I've ever met-at least on of the best. Also Mrs Aggeliki on 4th floor, cleaning lady, is so polite. Secondly, the price-value for money

We stayed at Olympic Palladium for 17 days, during July 24 and 2 days of August. I ahev to say that we, me and my wife, have been, overall, well satisfied

First of all, the stuff is very, very polite, we didn't meet a single impolite person in the hotel's stuff
