Overall, very good experience at Grecotel Creta Palace. As mentioned on some other comments, the rooms start to need a small refreshment

Apart from that, everything was great: location (next to Rethymno but without the noise or perturbation of a city and with an entire beach for us), the food (very good and with variety) and the staff (special mention to Giorgios from the Beach Bar and all the Grecoland staff)

Overall, a fantastic experience. Special thanks to Nasia for going above and beyond—she’s a real asset to the hotel. Highly recommend staying here if you're looking for excellent service and a welcoming environment!

They greeted us in the room with champagne and candy to celebrate with us! That is above and beyond everything I ever experienced from a hotel service! The beach itself is very clean and easy to get to just 1 minute walk from the pool

Rooms were really nice with welcome gifts even for kids too. The service was amazing, staff friendly and helpful. Location is a bit far from town and airport. The experience here was wonderful and very inclusive

I won’t go into listing all the services and amenities — there’s already plenty written about that, and yes, they’re all great. For me, this place is not about what they have. It’s about how they make you feel

Everything in the hotel is very clean and well maintained and the room quality was 1st rate. One minor issue in the maisonette is the very small wardrobe in the upstairs bedroom a small set of drawers would help

The only drawback is that the gym is tiny and can only accommodate three people at a time, so if you are a regular user, you'll need to book slots ahead of time

Lovely property with a private beach and within walking distance to many restaurants and cafes in Reythmno town. Everything is superbly clean and comfortable

Staff are very helpful and friendly - they did a great job organising a day trip for us. There are three pools (two outdoor and an indoor heated one)

It was a very luxery and nice complex. The Hotel have luxe rooms, all the things works, luxe ligthing system etc. Also to have a balcony is nice. Every day the rooms are cleaned and the water and coffee cups are filled

The breakfast buffet was one of the best we've experienced, with a wide variety of fresh, tasty options to choose from. We also took advantage of the hotel's spa services, which were incredibly relaxing and rejuvenating

Great hotel on a good location in Rethymnon. Several minutes to the beach and 10-15 min walk to the city center. The hotel is clean, new, child friendly with very kind personnel

She was calm,, kind and efficient and within minutes of arriving at the reception had organised a pharmacy to give me a tetanus injection, and a taxi to take me there, wait and bring me back to the hotel

I've just returned home from a 4 night solo stay at Theartemis Palace. This was my first solo holiday in Greece, and my first trip to Crete. I had the most wonderful time at Theartemis

The Superior room we had was a good size, with a very big bed. Everything in the room is nice quality and clean. We were road side with a view on the sea

I have been here for the restaurant and the outside bar with the live music that was really good. The atmosphere is very nice and the music from Sofia & George amazing

Not unclean but as clean as could be. The shower water pressure is really good and it can be made hot; not that you’ll want that after a day in the cretan heat

We raised this with Guest Relations, and to her credit, she followed up later in the evening. But the only option offered was to stay in the suite for an additional €144 per night — which we understandably declined

The room we eventually ended up in for the week was fine, it faced another building which didn’t bother us. The room was big enough and clean to a point. The bathroom was dated and well worn

While the room was lovely, we were annoyed — we didn’t want to unpack and repack just to check out and wait around for another room the next day

As for a gesture, showing someone a better room, then taking it away from them doesn’t make sense and inconveniences the start of the holiday

Stuff changed shower tub by our request. we had room on 5th flour and nice view on harbor and Fortecia, Hotel doesn't have own parking, but it's good free parking near by

Relaxing place, nice hotel, friendly staff and a wonderful panoramic view. Modern, clean rooms with spacious balconies. Close to a charming old town and a nice natural bay nearby, with a stunning sea views

The staff were so kind! The manager asked us multiple times if everything was alright and always wanted to talk to us. It was extremley clean, tidy and it was beautiful with marble floors everywhere

The staff and their manager, Mr. The hotel has its own pool with sunbeds and umbrellas, as well as a pool bar. The breakfast offers a good selection and the kitchen is trying to fulfill special wishes as well

Good breakfast, comfortable beds. The only downside was an interior room with no air conditioning.

The rooms were clean and well-maintained, the food was delicious, and the atmosphere was relaxing and pleasant. I especially appreciated the helpfulness of the reception team, who were always ready to assist with a smile

Rooms are a little tired and dated but are in the process of being updated, very clean and comfy beds! The Staff is what makes this Hotel wonderful, from the bar staff to Lucas and Agata who tried their best to rope everyone in to the entertainment, be it darts, stretches around the pool or karaoke! We had a wonderful stay at Minos Hotel in Crete! From the moment we arrived, we was warmly welcomed by the friendly and professional staff

It was an apartment room free of charge. The two bottles of water in the fridge was free and they restock every day. The room was equipped with cloth ironer, hair dryer but I was missing the shoe spoon

The hospitality throughout my stay was exceptional – everyone went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable and at home. The service was truly outstanding, with attention to every detail

The main negative was the broken door to our hotel room which took 5 days to be fixed properly despite repeated complaints

It has a very good restaurant attached where we ate a number of times. The staff always welcome us back with enthusiasm and we have made real friends at the hotel

The owner was very hospitable and allowed us to drink our own wine around the pool area. Breakfast provided a good variety of local foods. The restaurant also looked good but we didn’t eat there

The place could be better insulated to sound, but with a historical building, I am sure there are limitations. There are no elevators, so not ideal for people with mobility issues

A boutique hotel in a renovated Venetian building. It looks like we're living in history. Love the exposed beams on the roofs. The host is warm and welcoming

We arrived after midnight for check in and the staff member was very helpful, carrying our luggage up to the 2nd floor and letting us know where we could go to get food

The hotel was well situated, close to the harbour and shops and cafes. One night we were woken with noise from the nearby nightclub but it didn’t trouble us much

We had a fantastic family Reunion here. The staff are super accommodating. The spa was a great treat, the pool fun to hang out and the food was delicious and varied.

It was about a 5-minute taxi ride from the bus station, we could use the beach in front, and our room was spacious and open, so we were able to relax

Wonderful hotel in excellent position in the heart of Rethymno old town

Fantastic hotel in a great location,all the staff were terrific. My only criticism would be the bathroom in my room,poorly fitted shower head,and when you had a shower then water came back up through the drain in floor

The morning receptionist (sorry forgot your name) To the fabulous Effi who served at breakfast and served food and drinks to our sun beds at the pool with a smile and a chat Every great thing mentioned in reviews was correct and I include the fact the poolside food is fab,plenty and not overpriced

It is located right in the old part of the city, not too far from the port and close to many points of interest. Huge amount of excellent restaurants are right around the place

Though, the problem was quickly solved the next day with a kind help of a wonderful lady - Chrisoula, who literally saved our stay and made it so much more satisfying. The hotel itself is a very cozy place

Everything is spotless, and having two pools is a big plus (though it’s a pity that loungers are often “reserved” with towels and left unused). The food is excellent with a wide selection for both breakfast and dinner

A good 40 minute walk into the centre of Rethymnon. But plenty of bars and restaurants near by. The only fault we had was the mosquitos. There's is loads of them and I ended up with 232 bites

The hotel is very nice in front of the sea and also has a nice pool, the food is very good and I have never met such good staff before.

I have so much to say and everything is positive so I honestly don’t know What to say but overall I recommend this hotel to everyone and I will DEFINITELY come back to this hotel ASAP!!! Also we had a cute cat visitor Who came every now and then and it was so cute!! Really hope someone knows the name of the guy Who took us to our room and so much appreciation towards him since he was one of the nicest...

The only downside was the number of mosquitoes – not the hotel’s fault, but keep doors and windows closed and ask reception for a mosquito device. Overall, a wonderful stay and highly recommended!

Booked through Tui and it is spacious, very clean and the staff couldn't be more helpful. Very well appointed and well thought out Covid safety measures.

Evening meal time there seems to be cats everywhere and for me this a huge No No , not only unhygienic it's not appropiate while people are eating , for me personally being allergic to cats I really don't want to eat here

One of the best hotels I have stayed in. The staff are very friendly and could not help you more. The rooms are always very clean. This is only a bed and breakfast but they do serve snacks through the day

I have additional info for those who are inexperienced or ignorant travellers - The Venitian buildings were not built with pools or underground parking. Live with it and stop whining. You aren't back home with your mommy

We slept here for 2 days as a couple and I thinks it’s a great location in this beautiful city. Also, the bar is directly located in the hotel and we had a funny night with flavoured Raki & Richard who works on the bar

No words could describe this wonderful building with is historic charm. Central to restaurants and tour operators. Originally her childhood family home, Helen now manages the property and is a delight to talk to

The hotel is compact, but cozy. The rooms are small, but neat. The only thing missing is a playground, at least a small one. If you are looking for a quiet family vacation, I definitely recommend May Beach Hotel

As far as the breakfast is concerned, it was full of very nice choices and the staff there was very approachable as well and took care of me

We thought this hotel was really nice especially for the price. Very good value! The room we had was well designed, plenty of storage and we had a large balcony overlooking the city and the pool

The breakfast was better than expected, with plenty of choice and good quality. The pool area was really nice, on the smaller side but never had issues finding a free sun bed throughout the day

We found it quite relaxing to lie around the pool. It’s in the busy area of Rethymno town, really close to the beach and about 20 min walk to old town which we went to most evenings

Kriti Beach is more than a resort. In front of the beach with sunbeds for the guests, is the ideal location to explore the city. Helpful and polite staff, a hotel we love to stay.

The breakfast was superb and catered for all needs - we only booked B&B, All the staff are wonderful and work very hard to please. This is the hotel's greatest asset. Well done The Kriti and kudos to your staff

Amazing hotel and amazing staff, we spend 4 nights in the Kriti hotel and from our checking with a fantastic customer service until our last day, we felt welcomed

I stayed in this hotel for a week mid-August and it was one of the best vacations I’ve ever had! Obviously, the rooms have everything you need and are very clean and modern

But I strongly suggest booking a room with a pool view, where you can enjoy an evening or two on the balcony. We had different menus every day and the choice was just perfect, not too much and not too little

If you need anything special there is a small shop on the territory of the hotel or you can go into the town 10 mins, where there are plenty of restaurants and shops, including Lidl

People are usually staying near pool, so almost all sunbeds are taken (and yes, some guests are still having the habit of leaving a towel on a sunbed but showing up 3 hours later)

On the bright sight, there is plenty of room on the beach and the view is 10 times better. The sea entry is rocky, so it’s better to have swimming shoes with you

We also went to Rethymno for a day, which is 10 mins drive. The receptionist called us a taxi which cost us 10 euro

Must have been the best hotel manager I've ever met-at least on of the best. Also Mrs Aggeliki on 4th floor, cleaning lady, is so polite. Secondly, the price-value for money
