Best Hotels in Rethymno

This was by far the best hotel that we have ever stayed in. The location is excellent- a 25min walk into the old town down the beach, passing shops, cafes and restaurants

We enjoyed our stay here. The buffet breakfast and dinner were excellent. We are vegan and could always find healthy options. The staff are very professional and helpful. We also enjoyed the private beach.

The location is good, offering easy access to the charming town of Rethymnon, with its sites and vibrant atmosphere, 30 minutes from Old town by foot

Great pool bar, there were even inflatables in the pool for the kids to use. The staff here are all absolutely lovely, they are so friendly and helpful. They can’t do enough for you and always with a smile

1 minute to the main town but still peaceful tucked away down a quiet street. 30 seconds to a lovely sandy beach with one of the best sunsets I have seen. The hotel is simple, clean, nice home cooked food

Also the food was very good and I liked that it was so native. It was near to the beach and also near to the main road with shopping and bars, but very silent for a good sleep

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Grecotel! Upon arrival, we were pleasantly surprised to be upgraded to a suite, and it exceeded all our expectations

The food is delicious and the location is excellent! If anything, I'll probably recommend improving the kids pool area. Other than that, everything was great

I would have loved some traditional Cretan food options in one of the restaurants and a few more options for food at the beach. The staff were delightful and rooms were kept very clean throughout our stay

The hotel has a very benefitial location: - 2 min walk to the beach and promenade - 3 min walk to 2 big supermarkets - 15-20 min walk to the city center - lots of various restaurants and cafes around for all budgets and tastes - 3-5 min walk many car rentals around, a pharmacy From my perspective, this hotel would be best for singles, couples and people with a bit more mature kids

Very good hotel, nice and clean pool, the food was very good and diversified(chicken, lamb, veal, pork, sea food, salads, sweets…)

The buffet breakfast was more than adequate with good service from the staff. The hotel was ideally located for us being a 15-20 minute walk to the Old Town area

We stayed one week in July 2024, the location is ok 15min from city center, but 5min to the nice beaches. There are supermarkets near by

Visited in mid April staying for one week on a B&B basis. Hotel was only around 65% of its capacity at this time. Very smart hotel which appears to have been recently renovated to a high standard

Lobby and poolside areas are very nice and with a good pool bar. We were upgraded to a Superior room which was also very nice and had a small balcony

Breakfast was tasty with a good selection which should suit most needs. Option between pool and beach was nice, and I loved that the beach beds was free for hotel guests

The hotel is situated in a very good location. The staff in the dining area are wonderful. The cooking staff are awesome

This is surely a hotel that I won't forget quickly, in a good sense that is, at arrival we got taken care of our luggage who came to take it to our rooms, we got seated and welcomed with a glass of orange juice and a fresh towel

Reception and concierge service was good. We made certain arrangements in advance of our arrival (car hire and a guide for a specialist trip). The recommendations were spot on. It was buffet style, like the evening meals

We did not eat in the restaurant in the evening partly because it was a buffet and partly because there was a good selection of restaurants nearby. There were good Covid protocols in place

Far enough from the tourist traps, but also close enough to walk to the old town. The beach is kept very clean, and is very nice and enjoyable. I just wish we would have stayed longer

The restaurant is good, Breakfast and dinner is varied, there is something to choose from. The staff apart from the cleaners are friendly, in short the price and quality of the match completely

The rooms were clean, the service was excellent, the breakfast was good, and it had plenty of things to do

One drawback, however, was that the pools close at 6pm…which is really early if you are out and about throughout the day and want to enjoy a nice dip in the pool to relax afterwards. The hotel also had some hidden fees

The Piazza Di Porto restaurant was very good and I do recommend trying that place. I do not recommend eating at the dinner buffet. We did not have a good experience with it

On arrival we were introduced to our room facilities like how to adjust the aircondition and the welcome bottle of wine. Also I would like to applause you for the rules that you have noted for the pool area

I did not know the hotel and it was a very pleasant surprise. A very good room, very clean and tidy, good service, excellent food and a remarkable choice of it, as well for breakfast as for dinner, and every day a change

Hard to fault. Room have good aircon. Buffet food is as good as it gets. Staff are friendly, helpful and all speak great English. If I come back here, I would re-book.

Breakfast in the hotel was fantastic and the delicious coffee or tea is served to you at your table by the waiting, which made a lovely change from other Hotels where you have to queue for a coffee machine, serving undrinkable warm drinks! I liked the rooms and the breakfast. Excellent staff, very helpful. The hotel is well located, close to the beaches, the restaurants and the shops.

The highlights of this place are definitely the staff (especially Nikoletta at the breakfast and Spyridoula at reception), the location and equipments (lovely indoor pool to relax after a day trip)

The hotel manager was also very nice and making sure everything was going smoothly for guests, we really appreciated his presence

Breakfast buffet is really nice with lots of options, including Greek breakfast options and different coffee types

Just returned from a 7 days stay in Bio Suits Hotel and it was amazing. The apartment was super clean with all the necessary accomodations you can think of

Easygoing hotel, with good access to amenities locally, short distance to beach, restaurants, good access for taxis and pickup locations for excursions. Room was clean, large and air conditioned

But, all clean and the hotel boasts several pools and a good restaurant. One things is the Hotel has a good cross section of visitors, always a good sign

Even the first day we were surprised in a perfect way when they gave us upgrade from double room to suite apartment for the same price an when we open the door from room there was one more surprise - champagne, wine and fruit for warm welcome

Don't be put off by corridors, they are a little shabby but the rooms are fabulous, we had a suite thanks to a free upgrade. Fruit, wine and baguettes were left for us, welcome after a late arrival

The view from balcony was just magic. Friendly,kind and most helpful staff In any way. If they can help you they will for sure. The room was perfectly clean all the time

The pool areas are clean and tidy a nice area to relax with lots of sunbeds, we visited beginning of September. Entertainment was OK, usual holiday offerings

First time visit to Rethymno and The Kriti Hotel. The hotel location to the beach can not be faulted with beach free sun lounges available to residents. Restaurants and bars are also nearby

The hotel is very good, the rooms are clean, cleaned every day, fridge, air conditioner, cooker))). Russian staff on retsepshene says no, and restaurant work. The food is very decent, diverse

I liked the design of the hotel, with modern and well-matched elements, the food was good and diverse, the staff very friendly and cooperative; plus the location of the hotel, near the park and very close to the picturesque old town

The bed was not comfortable and it was small for two. We had a room with a view to the street, which was noisy. But the air condition in the room was very good, we could set the temperature and also a frequency

Sockets are rare, chair pillows not on their place, not enough shade in the kitchen area for those who sleep in that area. Breakfast was very good and the hotel staff beyond excellent

The location is absolutely breathtaking, directly across the sea. You can have a nice walk to Rethymno city along the beach from here. I really recommend the breakfast buffet, they also accommodate dietary restrictions

Nearby was some great family tavernas, bakeries, a decent supermarket and a good car hire place that we used. Rethymno old town was an easy 30 min stroll away and a fabulous place to visit

Me and my family visited this hotel last week. When I arrived I was not happy with the room and they kindly changed it. Apartments were not to my liking dark not enough chairs no couch. It was a very strange configuration

Staff were lovely very helpful polite and nothing too much trouble. We drank here a bit as I was with 3 small children found it very pricey and lunch food not great

Probably the best sea view restaurant in Retimno, the staff are very welcoming, the food is delicious, highly recommend to visit if you are in Retimno

Good place to stay if you are traveling by car. Parking next to the palazzo, quiet courtyard. the fortress and the old town are nearby, noisy streets are far away

Opposite is the police station, which is good in principle - calm! Lived on the ground floor and was not at all disappointed

I had a wonderful stay at the Palazzo Vecchio for ten nights and would recommend it to anyone looking for a friendly, small, ideally located hotel to explore the beautiful city of Rethymnon and the rest of Crete

This hotel has 4 stars, but the most valuable fifth star is its staff. We have visited many countries and stayed in different hotels, but we have never met before such friendly and caring employees anywhere

The hotel is compact, but cozy. The rooms are small, but neat. The only thing missing is a playground, at least a small one. If you are looking for a quiet family vacation, I definitely recommend May Beach Hotel

We got an upgrade to a fabulous 2-bed suite with lovely sea view. Lovely pool, friendly staff and good food. Pity we only stayed one night here, will stay longer next time.

The hotel has different kind of facilities, but because of the COVID, most of them are closed besides the outdoor pool and the massage. All in all the hotel is recommendable

Great location on the beach, room's are brand new with smart TV Netflix ect. Hosts friendly, plenty of shop's nearby, short walk to Rethymno old town for the evening lots of bar's and restaurants. Would recommend 👍🏻

There was a problem with my payment details and the hotel went above and beyond to make sure my reservation is honored. Unfortunately, we couldn't make it to Crete due to a family emergency at the last second

The team at North Coast was extremely understanding, kind and flexible - they offered us to use the reservation in the future. They didn't have to do that, it was past the point of fee cancellation

The most wonderful people run this place! My stay at North Coast was supposed to be my 3rd visit to Crete just this summer. To give you some context - previously I stayed at Ikones and then Anemos

The owner is super friendly and gave us many tips on where to eat authentic Greek food at great prices! Within walking distance are many great restaurants at beautiful locations but should you want to eat in the city centre, the hotel is located at walking distance

The hotel has spotless modern rooms with a big balcony that looks over the sea. A stunning view! There is a large swimming pool and a sundeck, both overlooking the sea

Stuff changed shower tub by our request. we had room on 5th flour and nice view on harbor and Fortecia, Hotel doesn't have own parking, but it's good free parking near by

Sweet spot!!!! Pool is good, lots of chairs. The hotel can help with everything from booking taxis to rental cars. There is elevators to every floor, but you have to change elevators along the way
