We sadly have missed reviews on this hotel. Positives are nice, clean hotel with great staff and food. Negatives are extremely confusing on the 'Comfort' package. This was sold to us as an all inclusive, however there was lots of restrictions i.e. no food around the pool was ever part of the package. Such a lovely spot! The space itself is gorgeous and very clean. I felt completely pampered. Anna was incredibly skilled and friendly — my hair turned out fantastic. They only use top-quality haircare products too. I’ll be back for sure next time I’m here!

We just had a wonderful last minute stay here as a family.The hotel and our maisonette was beautiful and clean. Breakfast was delicious! Rivalled Gleneagles. Second time staying here, lovely helpful staff. Plenty to choose form at breakfast. We didn't have evening meal as ate out. Although couple of negatives was slow in setting up tables, and closing the pool early. Beach 5 mins walk, lots of surrounding bars on sea front, Walk or take a bus outside hotel to Old Town.

Easygoing hotel, with good access to amenities locally, short distance to beach, restaurants, good access for taxis and pickup locations for excursions. Room was clean, large and air conditioned. Standard buffet fare, with lots of different options for breakfast and dinner. Opportunities to practice Greek but for when that runs out the majority of staff are fluent English speakers.

The entire staff of this hotel needs to be commended. Friendly, helpful, courteous and most of all went out of their way to assure we had everything we needed. The breakfast buffet was amazing. Excellent trip! We were 7 days in paradise! The SPA was unbelievable, with Evdokia- the friendly , beautiful face at the reception, Dina and Constantinos at the massages...We had very clean and tidy rooms, the mediterranean views are from another world and all the personnell was exceptionaly profesional and friendly! This was by far the best hotel that we have ever stayed in. The location is excellent- a 25min walk into the old town down the beach, passing shops, cafes and restaurants. The stay at Plaza Beach was a fantastic experience. The staff were polite and the room was cleaned regularly. The staff were approachable and provided a professional service. Thank you Axos team! We had a fantastic 5 days right at the start of the summer season. From the moment we arrived we were welcomed with open arms. Whilst it’s definitely the people who make the place so fantastic, the rooms were bright and clean with everything you could want for a self-catered holiday. Breakfast included was also a very welcome addition!

Staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The breakfast was great. The pool area was awesome. The location was near to the beach and there were plenty of shops and eating places nearby. After checkout I was able to use the pool area and there was a complimentary change area to use before we went to the airport.

This is a little beauty of a hotel. Quirky architecture. Really friendly. Right on the beach. The road outside is a bit of a challenge for pedestrians as it is a major easy west link for Rethymnon but once inside you are in a very nice place. This is a nice hotel but it’s not 5 star. The pool facilities are a bit lacking - not loads of sun beds and the pool isn’t heated so it was freezing. It was a lot warmer swimming in the sea! We were upgraded from the Minos Hotel to the Ambassador accross the street. Everything is new, the staff is great and the location is nice. Rooftop bar and restaurant. The only downside was that the SPA was not yet opperational, but since we were not supposed to have access to it in the first place it was not a problem.
