Not a 5 star! The hot Food was Cold, And not much selection. Staff seemed grumpy except a few waiting staff. Lacked communication. Tatty sunbeds. The only thing good about this hotel was the beach and clean rooms.

If you don't care about delicious hotel food, I recommend this place. Places close to the hotel serve delicious food. On the private balcony with a pool there was a big circle on the side wall

Amazing family holiday experience rooms modern and very clean pool area was second to none the hotel staff are incredible, from arranging buses to the town to giving us a later checkout to help with our two year old and storing our luggage until our transfer arrived, the food catered to all and the live cooking station was delicious, myself my partner and son Arthur had a blast we even got engaged...

Room was spotless with great view to the pool. The free breakfast was a delightful way to start the day. Hotel also had an amazing restaurant with good food, warm and delicious

Pool is fairly small but large enough as the resort is relatively small in terms of occupants. Food is good quality and something for all tastes

if you want to just chill without worrying about anything, its a perfect place to do so:) there are only two complaints, the first one being travel lunch which is just a cheap sandwich, an orange and an apple, the second one being bathroom doors unable to be closed

Eva, Demitri and all the Staff make you feel like family. For a 3 star hotel this place is 1st class. My wife and I run our own catering business and understand food and the food here is outstanding

Dimitri runs the restaurant and is passionate about his food, as well as being immensely proud of its source (quite often his own farm) and the fact that it is traditional Greek recipes

Eva runs the hotel, and is a font of knowledge, if she does not have the answer immediately she will find it for you, and if she does not have the appropriate map she will draw you one

Clean and good value for money

I booked a luxurious villa, only 50 meters away from a private beach. The exclusive private beach was equipped with sun loungers and sunshades. Villa was very clean and modern. Had a pool and it was amazing

The villa was a wonderful size and comfortable. We had direct beach access and a pool and were provided with fresh towels

Full of amenities inside and it had and a pool with sea view. It had also a great lighting, outside the villas

Villa had spectacular sea view and peaceful atmosphere. Spotless whole venues, with very modern and elegant amenities, perfect our restful holidays! Also it had facilities and services comparable to luxury hotels

The location was just the best, very clean, quiet but in the middle of everything at the same time. The open space (living area and pool) was wonderful, and the entertainment system was superb

Villa had an unique decoration with branded materials and it was great located near by a private beach only a few meters away. Rooms were spacious and very clean

Excellent house rental. Tastefully decorated, with private pool, just minutes from wonderful tavernas and the city of Rethymnon.

We spend one week in the Villa and never had the feeling that something is lacking or needs to be topped up. The interiors and equipment are in great shape and the Villa is very comfortable for 6 adults

The house is ready to holiday in as if you had moved into a new home; everything is provided from a spoon, to a washing line. You won't need a thing except your luggage and food; supermarket close by

It`s a very nice and clean place to stay, very good for stay with kids. Hotel is located near to the sea, it`s not far from the old town of Rethymno

Easy to get to Rethymno with the bus, tickets you can buy in every (as they call :))) Super market. Car rent across the street/good price. Food is OK, if you are not expecting much

The sea beach is rocky, so you need sea shoes, and the waves were big, so it was not allowed to go into the water, but they got an own pool, where the kids can play. The daily room cleaning is really professional

I wish the hotel management will take care and keep the hotel as nice as it is today. Simple design, but with some art decorations. Nice pool area and reasonable sea entrance. Close to restaurant, shops or car rentals

The hotel is nice, new renovated and lies beside the sea, where the view is amazing. You can see the sunrise and the sunset from your balcony. The breakfast is good, the bar is fairly priced

On the beach there is enough free space for own sun umbrella. During our stay there were pretty high waves which provided a lot of fun to me but they can be challenging for someone

Fridge in the room which is good for cooling down bought bottled water. Food can be eaten under the umbrellas with the view at the sea

And I really don't understand at all why the hotel has changed ( supposedly since this season 2021) the setting, that one of the hotel's four pools was "adult only". And they did not updated this fact on their website

Nice place it has 5 pools, good food but bad wifi connection. In the evening it is quite impossible to have internet connection. There is pool bar all day and in the evening also. Every evening there is a show

The food was ok, what saved it was that the salad buffet was excellent. It was close to the beach but you had to cross the road and walk between some hotels along a smelly pathway which was less charming

Way to the beach is through the Maravel Hotel, about 200 meters from the reception. The food was varied and tasty

You could see the sea, above the buildings opposite, The furniture was cheap looking with no dressing table area or desk or wardrobe and only one chair

The beach is sandy (rare in Europe!) and there is plenty of seating. There is one large swimming pool with ample seating

While the property feels spacious and luxurious, none of the common areas ever felt crowded. There were no lines for breakfast, no rush to reserve pool-side seats, no queue at check-in or out

While the cleanliness of the pool wasn’t always at the same spotless level as the rest of the property, it did not detract from the overall experience

The hosts are really nice, friendly and made a good Service. Air condition costs extra but it is ok if you need it. Location near by the sea and also a Pool and a nice taverne at the hotel

What can I say Wow what a great holiday my husband and I had , from the management to the chambermaids we were made so welcome nothing was too much for the staff specially John and Maria , we will be coming back 100% Miss Lou and Keith

Really good food in the evening. Every wednesday really good live music with a choice of fresh fish or steak (you also can choose from the menue if you like). Breakfast ok but room to improvement

Near by many tavernes and shopping locations. We dont need more than we had and had a really nice vacation at this hotel :) big thank you to everybody that make it a great vacation for us

The only thing I would slightly improve is the hair dryer in the bathroom – it heats up quickly and doesn’t work that well, but it’s just a small detail compared to how great everything else was

The food was delicious, with lots of variety and rich local flavors – special greetings to Chef Fotis for the incredible meals. Everyone working here makes the experience even more enjoyable

I am happy and grateful for Dimitris and Dimitra for making me an exception for the coctail without alcohol. The other personnel shift could not make the drink without one ingridient

The Aquila Rithymna Beach is rated as a 5 star hotel possibly because of the proximity to the beach, waterpark and children's facilities, it's an ideal family hotel, however in my opinion it isn't suitable for couples or single people

Very well positioned, amazing property indeed, the beach is with small stones but nonetheless ok, very polite employees, food works, definitely not the best, surcharges do reservations at the Greek restaurant are a rip off(20 Eur per person), very high prices at the beach bar as well as the other bars, even in October

The only thing I didn't like is that even with Ultra all inclusive you had to scan the QR code and check the menu to make sure what you order is included. They should really separate paid and included stuff completely

I loved the balcony and the bathroom. Only bummer is that when you shower, the whole bathroom floor is wet because there isn’t a curtain or system to close the shower. We also had a lot of ants in the room

Special swimming shoes are necessary for entry, and caution is required. However, many people swim without any problems, so it's not a major issue :) The beach itself is very beautiful with stunning sunsets

Additionally, the sea entrance is not the easiest – about 4-5 meters from the shore, there are large flat stones/rocks with holes that can be slippery

This is not a four star hotel, at best it would be 3 stars. The food is mid tier as well and the rooms are not as good looking as in the pictures

Location is good on a lovely beach and a really nice, historic town just 10 minutes away. Clientele was mainly couples of near our age, with a few younger couples - it's not really a place for kids

We spent a few wonderful days at Kathrin Beach Hotel with my wife in May, and honestly, we didn’t want to leave! The service from the staff was beyond excellent – always polite, friendly, and eager to help with a genuine smile

In the following days, we became regulars at the bar – the cocktails were simply outstanding, with the Mai Tai being one of the best I’ve ever had! Prices across the board were more than fair, making the overall experience even more enjoyable

On our first evening, we enjoyed a fantastic bottle of wine with dinner, which we continued to sip on the hotel’s beautiful veranda, taking in the peaceful view and an unforgettable sunset

The rooms were clean and tidied daily. However, they lacked some small essentials like bedside tables and extra hangers in the bathroom. Also, no shampoo or shower gel was provided

The room facilities were more than adequate with a great en-suite shower, a tv and free safe and importantly, free aircon which was very much needed. Breakfast choice was enormous, in the American style and delicious

We had a very good week long holiday at Palladion hotel the pool was excellent and always empty sun beds, room was typically Greek which we live, staff were very friendly and food was good at the restaurant all in all we would happily come here again

The room was on the top floor with a balcony adjacent to an olive grove with views to the sea and the mountains. Twin beds were the most comfortable we have slept on in over 30 years of holidaying on the Greek Island

The hotel is well located in front of beach, they have a very big and enjoyable swimming pool with lots of chairs and umbrellas, breakfast is good and have fresh fruits, the restaurant serves delicious Greek food and it's not expensive! Well positioned to beach, good terrace and pool. Clean rooms. Unfortunately they don't have plates and cutlery in room, witch is strange when the room is equipped with electrical hob...

The beach was lovely and there were chairs and parasols on the beach to rent. We stayed by the pool but were told €8 for 2 seats and 1 parasol for the whole day
