Absolutely unbeatable for the price!! I paid £26/night (staying in a room with my boyfriend), which is cheaper than some hostels I've stayed in. The food is fantastic, beer and wine are on tap and self serve however you can purchase cocktails and spirits at a reasonable price. Room was spotless when we arrived and is cleaned daily (except for Sundays). The pool is a little cold, but we are here in October so that is expected. Staff is very friendly and attentive. Very close to the beach and the area around the resort is pleasant. There are some pool tables and extra entertainment for children (which we didn't use, obviously) otherwise the hotel is fairly bare bones, but again for the price, I couldn't recommend this hotel enough!! Rethymno old town is a short bus ride away with a bus stop very close to the hotel and such an incredible place to explore.

My husband and me staying at the Rethymno Village at this moment.
Not only Rethymnon but also the hotel has stolen our hearts.
The Rooms have a lot of space
Are very clean, the housekeeping and maintenance employees do are amazing job
The staff are very friendly and kind.
Breakfast , lunch and dinner come in a buffet
The food is very good and there is more than enough choice.
The location is 6 km from the old venetian harbour and 100 meters from the beach
We are definitely coming back next year

We are currently here with our 1 year old son. The staff have been absolutely amazing with my child, and the rooms are lovely and clean. The food is really great, only thing I could say bad is that my child doesn’t like the food as he is a picky eater but again, taste is subjective and we didn’t expect anything more. Thankyou to everyone for making our stay amazing. We will definitely be returning😚

The food was 5 star. The shower perfect. Room service was perfect. The drink and snacks and ice-cream on demand throughout the day was heaven The pool was huge and so refreshing . The social atmosphere during the day and in the evenings was superb. The nearby shops and streets were buzzing and colourful at night.

Just back from a week here. Hotel itself was decent. Nice pool area and very clean. Beds very comfy and air con was good. Food was a let down though. Rabbit and chips one night 😔 I love foreign food but just couldn't get away with this so we ended up eating out for a few nights. Staff were friendly enough. Would have benefited from some entertainment like a poolside quiz during day but I suppose 90% of the residents were German so maybe they couldn't do a multi lingual quiz? Location wise it's very quiet there. A few bars and eating places on the street outside but you need to go into the old town about 15min drive away if ur looking for a bit more action. Glad we got a hire car so we could drive about. Roulis beach bar a few hundred metres away was a good local spot for a sunset

Been there for 8 days and the experience wasn't good.
To start, our room was facing the highway, so there was a lot of noise from the cars passing by, not the greatest experience for an holiday.
The facilities are basic, kind of old and something you would expect on a 2 start hotel.
About the buffet, terrible is the word to describe it.
The food was oily, tasteless and seemed that many ingredients were reused from another meals. Most of the food seemed processed and the only natural food that we found was watermelon and oranges.
It's really bad when there's no natural juices not even on breakfast, we wondered if they expect us to drink coca cola and soda to start the day.
Most of the staff needs to get an hospitality course, the only ones that were kind and professional were the cleaning ladies.
We arrived at the buffet 30min before closing and when the closing time came they shut the doors and didn't allow us to get more food when we didn't finish eating. The guy from the bar was rude and when we asked for a simple request the answer was 'you can go get it' (?!?!?), thats not the proper way to communicate with guests.
The pool was dirty every single day and we haven't seen any cleaning whatsoever during our stay.
The positive points were definitely the cleaning staff, location close to the beach and the fact that they have free parking.
Overall wouldn't recommend staying there, especially with meals included.

We were there with my family in 2020. We liked the hotel very much was quiet, peaceful, the staff was very friendly, delicious food! And if only I had the chance I would go back again! My kids remember that they would like to fly there again! I will also add that the views from the hotel are amazing and very nice atmosphere!

Rooms are ok, nothing special. You have to pay extra for air conditioning (5€/day), not very nice. The food isn't very good, but you get what you pay for. Staff was all around very nice though!
The hotel is located quite well, with a lot of places to eat and shop nearby. But also the city center can be reached easily by taxi for 10€ within 15 minutes.

Pleasant experience with this hotel, me and my husband have just returned from 2 week stay .... Food OK you could always find something. Staff was lovely.... Drinks where strong..... Its a very calm atmosphere... Perfect for relaxing... Plenty of shops bars and restaurants on the hotel door step. Rooms was comfortable cleaned very regularly. Over all we was both satisfied with this holiday😊. Cheap and cheerful.

My partner and I enjoyed our stay at Rethymno village. IMO the best things about it were: friendly staff, clean rooms & facilities and location.
Our stay was at the end of season and I felt that we had good value for what we paid. Would return.
