Location: 6 km from the town of Rethymno, 67 km from Heraklion airport. The bus stop is near the hotel.

We arrived to this wonderful hotel fully expecting a 5 star experience and it delivered in every way! Location was superb. Staff were amazing. Food was fantastic. We were upgraded to a two story villa on the beach, which was a wonderful surprise. The pool is top notch and the aqua aerobics classes were super fun!

Came as a big group, which is not always easy
The hotel and rooms were absolutely perfect, the staff is one you would want to have in every hotel you visit. Congratulate only one member wouldn’t be fair to all the others.

This was our second time to visit this wonderful hotel. I never leave reviews and the only other review I have ever written was for this hotel.
It’s hard to put your finger on it but this hotel is exceptional in every way. The staff are all such wonderful people (kind, caring considerate, fabulous with children). We felt relaxed from the moment we arrived. The hotel is small and personable, the rooms are beautiful and the food is lovely. What more can I say only…..we will be back for sure. Thank you to the all the wonderful staff at Grecotel Carmel.

From the moment our family set foot in this place, we were treated with the utmost welcome and warmth one could imagine.
The ambience, rooms, food, and amenities are superior. The staff goes out of their way to make you feel welcome and looked after.
They also have a wonderful group fitness instructor who ran aqua fitness, strength and Pilates training. The evening entertainment program is gentle and enjoyable - none of the obnoxious loud music other hotels offer.
Overall, our experience was heavenly and I would highly recommend this place!

Spend 12 days this June in this beautiful resort. Expectations were high, but what we got was well beyond that. From the moment we got there, all was perfect. Beautiful beach with all the service you will expect, great room with views to both the pool and the sea side, great room service.
The food was perfect. Breakfast, lunch and dinner, all were very good. Thank you CHEF! We will remember meeting with you.
And the guys who were there for us every time:
Kalyopi, who thought us about the excellent Creta wines, Vasiliki, who, so nicely, was presenting the dishes, from the amuse bouche to the deserts, and George, trying to teach us greek! And Alexander, keeping an eye on everyone and everything and putting together the team that we called our "guardian angels". He was so kind and timely and knowledgeable and helpful with great advice Just a blink of the eye and one of them was by our side. Thank you: Alexanhder, Kalyopi, Vasiliki, George, and to all that I forgot to mention. Best wishes for all of you.

We were so happy to stay at Carmel Greco hotel resort for our honeymoon! From the moment we arrived on the campus, we were greeted by several smiling faces and an excellent service staff. The check-in process was excellent, and the rooms were comfortable. Although they were clean, they were slightly outdated. The pool was immaculate, large resort style salt water, and the beach was well maintained with soft sand rather than the rocks seen at some other beaches on the island. The food we experienced at dinner was the best meal we had on our whole vacation and the breakfast was plentiful with lots of variety of offerings. As honeymooners we were treated very well with some special surprises and made to feel very special. The staff were very personable, knowing us by room number and all. We would love to come back and enjoy this beautiful resort again!

Lovely beach resort near to Rethymno. Suitable for couples and families. Absolutely great service and food level is also rather high. It is suitable for people seeking for some privacy- around 60 rooms is not so busy and let guests to have calm and restful stay. Price level is quite high compared to Greece prices in general but definitely worth it.

The Caramel Grecotel is an ideal place for a romantic or family vacation. We have already come 3 times and it is always a great pleasure. the quality of the hotel is impeccable, the food, the staff, the very good atmosphere as well as the kids club are the reasons why we love this hotel. We especially thank Konstantina and Alexandros and the management for their special attention, professionalism and immense kindness. we will come back, we promise. From the moment we arrived .... we had excellent service and fabulous food. Everything was fresh, spotless, plentiful (invisibly replenished). Every member of staff greeted you warmly. No shortage of sunbeds .... and a total absence of annoying guests.
