Adagio Hostel 2.0 Basilica in Budapest

I stayed here for a few nights in January and I enjoyed it. It was cheap, and they let me pay in cash with euros (I think 57 euros for 4 nights & a lock for my locker). The location makes everything quite walkable. I did not use the common area; my photos show the building from the outside.

So let's stay at a great place. It was clean and the best value. Just stay for a long time if you need to. It's the best to work with, and there's good food around the area, so eat well.

Great hostel, in the center of the city. It was super clean, and quiet. To be honest we clearly had the best beds in the room because they were a bit separate from the others and we had a fan. The kitchen’s fine, if only everyone would wash their dishes…

Great Spot for Travelers — Just Be Mindful of Dorm Life

I stayed here during my trip and really loved the location — super central and easy to get around. The staff were welcoming and the place was clean, which I really appreciated after long days of exploring.

The only downside was the shared dorm experience. One guest came back very late, turned on the lights, talked loudly on the phone, and unfortunately got sick in the bathroom. It made it a bit hard to get proper rest.

Still, the hostel itself is great. If you’re a light sleeper or prefer quiet nights, a private room might be worth considering!

There is no sign for the hostel on the street so it is not easy to find. I have added a photo of the gate you must go in from the street and the second gate you go in then from the alleyway. If gates aren’t open you dial 12 on the panel to get buzzed in.
I was in an 8 bed dorm on the front of the building. It was very clean and the shower was warm with good pressure. The ladders down from the top bunks are very awkward to use. If you are a light sleeper bring good earplugs or don’t book here. The road noise was relentless with cars, motorbikes, sirens and people shouting. It sounded as if they were in the room!! The curtains do not cover the length of the bed so you will need to use your sheet or a towel for privacy. Towel is not included in your stay. It will cost €1.
Staff on the desk are friendly and helpful. Location is great, with easy access to shops, sights, restaurants and public transport.

The receptionist is very helpful in helping me find the hostel in the dark. The place is clean and the shower room is inside the room, fantastic 😊

I'm glad I was able to protect my privacy.
