Reviews
When I arrived with my husband to check in, everything was fine until the receptionist saw our reservation — two men with a double bed — and suddenly became extremely homophobic. She was arrogant and gave no clear instructions. Breakfast was included in our stay, but she didn’t explain anything. When I asked about it, she just said “you need to come to the reception,” which made no sense.
The mattress was super hard, and it made loud noises when moving. No shower gel was provided, although it was listed as included. The TV constantly lost signal.
The kettle smelled strongly of cleaning chemicals — it even foamed when I added water, which is dangerous and unacceptable.
Breakfast was ridiculous: you get a tiny portion, and the price written at the reception was higher than in the room information. It’s not worth it.
On the terrace, there were no proper ashtrays, only plates being used instead — for a 3-star hotel, that’s embarrassing.
There was also a long list at the entrance with fines for damages from 5 to 200 EUR, which looked unprofessional.
The place smelled constantly like fried food — really unpleasant.
Definitely not a 3-star experience, and the staff’s attitude was the worst part.
The rooms were very basic, almost reminiscent of student accommodation. The bathroom was functional, and there was both a TV and air conditioning. However, I was bemused to find there were two TV remotes but no control for the AC! The bedding was extremely thin, the pillows felt like they were stuffed with tissue paper, and unfortunately, there was a questionable stain on the bed sheet, which wasn’t ideal.
On the positive side, the lady at reception, Ernie, was pleasant and friendly, which made check-in welcoming.
The location isn’t the best, and being above a kebab shop meant the smell of food drifted up quite often. That said, if you’re like me and just need a bed and shower because you’re out exploring all day, then this place does the job at a very economical price point.
Top tip: Right opposite the guest house is a lovely café called Kultura, where the coffee and croissants are excellent — a great way to start the day before heading out.
Rooms, toilets and common area are clean but the outside part always filthy.
Hotel is located next to busy street and it’s always noisy. During summer sleeping with a window open is not possible and air condition is paid extra.
The area outside the hotel is filthy stinky and disgusting. Homeless people are everywhere most of the time drunk and asking you for money. Outside of the hotel there is strong smell of urine.
I do not recommend and will not visit again.
