The hotel is nice and the reception staff are friendly and understanding. Room amenities are basic but manageable.

However, the breakfast was a big letdown. Limited options, slow refills, and asking for anything felt like asking a favor. The worst part was when we took a couple of bananas for kids to our room—staff didn’t stop us but made a rude comment to a colleague, clearly directed at us. If it’s not allowed, just say so or put up a sign. No need for passive-aggressive behavior.

I’ve stayed at Courtyard Budapest City Center several times over the past two months, and every time has been an exceptional experience. The location is unbeatable — right in the heart of the city, close to everything yet peaceful and comfortable.
The staff is truly outstanding: extremely helpful, attentive, and quick to assist with anything needed. Their kindness and professionalism make a real difference and elevate the whole experience.
The hotel is clean, modern, and welcoming, just like the beautiful city of Budapest itself. I always feel at ease and taken care of here. I’m already looking forward to coming back again as soon as possible. Thank you for making each stay so special! ❤️🇭🇺

I stayed at Courtyard Budapest City Center last Nov and would happily give it a 5-star rating.
The location is super convenient — right in the heart of the city.
I dined at the hotel restaurant and was pleasantly surprised by the quality. I tried the local-style beef soup and really enjoyed it.
The hotel has a small sauna facility — although not large, I had it all to myself during the stay, which made it perfect.
The room wasn’t luxury-style, but it was clean, comfortable, and cozy. I had a nice desk by the window with a lovely street view — great for remote-working.
A special mention to Zsaklin at the front desk. She was exceptionally helpful and professional, helping me resolve several issues smoothly. I sincerely appreciated her kindness and will remember her 7/25.

I stayed here March 2-March 3. Spacious room with comfortable beds and large bathroom. Dinner and breakfast offerings were very tasty, and the hotel is steps away from public transport and walking distance to New York Cafe. There’s also a shopping mall nearby as hotel is very well situated in the city.

Centrally located. Easy access for the city centre. Very good bar with good selection of well made cocktails.
Room was large but decor a little tired. Comfy bed with non feather bedding. Was a little dark as there were no lights in the main room just lamps. Window did open which was great to get some air into the room and not rely on aircon.
Bathroom was large. Shower water pressure was very low and the shower leaked water into the rest of the bathroom.
Great staff. Friendly and efficient. Breakfast buffet had a lot of choice. Including sparkling wine. Fruit juice was watered down but that’s the only complaint. Good coffee. I had an omelette made fresh too.

Stayed in the hotel for one night. Rooms are clean, not very spacious.
The location is good, not too far away from the center.
The hotel prepared a complimentary cake and champagne for birthday, which was very nice of them! And also they give Marriott members depending on the status complimentary drinks in the bar :)

This is a wonderful hotel. The staff is very friendly. The rooms are clean. The breakfast buffet was really good too. The location is great. It’s convenient to public transportation. It’s easy to walk to many of the sites from the hotel. It’s really perfect in many ways.

Working as an employee for an airline.
We’ve been coming to this hotel for years but it’s not the coziest place to be. Even though the rooms are quite big and spacious, it’s basic. Not that that’s specifically such a bad thing.
However..
The important comment I would like to make, is that I had to pay €20 for breakfast as roomservice. Which I have never paid before.
The employee on the other line asked me if I wanted this, this and that. To which I positively answered.
At check out counter, I had to pay that much because of the certain things I’ve ordered.
Which was a suggestion from the other employee, not because I requested it.
The service, the rooms, breakfast (not a lot to choose from), etc.
It’s overall just not the greatest experience, even though it’s in the center of Budapest.

Excellent experience with its central location, making it easy to explore Budapest’s major attractions. The rooms are clean, modern, and well-maintained, providing a comfortable stay. The breakfast buffet is highly praised for its variety and quality. Overall, it was a wonderful hotel with a balance of convenience, comfort, and service.

Great location... dated rooms.
Had a great sized room, 1 minute away from the trams and subway. This was the perfect place to stay to be downtown.
The rooms weren't cleaned well, and ants were in the bathroom. The water didn't work well, and they couldn't fix the heat seating for the shower. So hot showers on hot days.
The staff were great, and the breakfast was a really nice continental option.
I liked my stay, even if sometimes the police cars kept going all night.
Airport bus is a little far away, but easy enough to take a tram to.
