Reviews
But what we went through at the Isrotel Royal Garden in Eilat still haunts me.
This time, I simply can’t stay silent.
We stayed for seven nights in April 2025 with our two small children.
We paid over 26,000 NIS for what was supposed to be a relaxing, high-end family vacation.
Before arriving, I spoke directly with the hotel and was clearly assured that the pool would be heated.
That was important because of our son’s sensitivity to cold.
In reality, he went into the water and came out violently shivering.
Not a light chill, but full-body, uncontrollable shivering.
In a moment of panic, we gave him hot tea to warm him.
Because of the shaking, the tea spilled on him.
He suffered a second-degree burn.
We spent the rest of the trip in daily treatments at the clinic, changing bandages, dealing with pain, fear, and exhaustion.
But the worst part came after we left.
We contacted the Isrotel chain with full documentation:
videos, temperature readings (22.6°C), medical reports, photos, audio recordings.
At first, they even offered two nights as compensation.
Then, suddenly, they called back and canceled it.
They told us clearly:
"You won’t receive any compensation. You don’t deserve it."
I usually avoid naming names. That’s not my style.
But this time, I have to make an exception.
The phone call we received from Saar, who introduced herself as the head of customer service for the entire Isrotel chain,
was one of the most disrespectful and dehumanizing experiences we’ve ever had with any service provider.
Not only was there zero empathy, she blamed us completely as parents.
She dismissed our feelings and ended the call with cold, hurtful statements.
I don’t understand how someone with that attitude is leading customer service for a major hotel brand.
This wasn’t a local misunderstanding. It was their official position.
You go on vacation to escape the stress.
But in this case, the stress followed us to the pool and continued long after we left.
I still think about it every day.
Our son still has the physical scar.
We carry the emotional ones.
And for anyone thinking that summer pool water can’t be cold, I have videos, audio recordings, and statements from other guests who said they were freezing too.
None of that mattered to management.
I’ve never shared personal recordings or evidence before.
But this time, the lack of accountability is too big to ignore.
It’s not even about the compensation anymore.
It’s about the way we were treated.
By the way, I am a very active Google Maps contributor with over 95 million views on my photos and reviews.
I wanted to share a good experience. I was ready to recommend this place.
But after everything that happened, I feel a responsibility to be honest with others.
Because people deserve to know not just how a hotel looks when things go well,
but how it behaves when something goes wrong.
The pools area is excellent, catering for all ages
The room is good, but the fold out bed for the kids is small and uncomfortable. There's no bottled water in the room which feels cheap.
Breakfast was pretty bad. The pool looks beautiful but the water is cold, and there is only one big slide.
Children's entertainments are rudimentary.
Overall I've stayed in much better.
The massagist spoiled the massage by doing fast strokes and movements. I don't know if that's how it's supposed be, but I found it less relaxing. More like a sports massage. Unfortunately she also had long fingernails which were unpleasant especially during the head- and neck massage. She was also a bit sick. Overall a bummer as this Spa is one of the pricier ones in Eilat.
Later we went for breakfast at the cafe upstairs. Food was tasty but the waiter wasn't in the best mood, and when asked for champagne or anything fizzy to toast, he said he didn't have anything but I could have a red wine (which I found was an unrelated suggestion). Then we moved on to the bar in the middle of the pool, but they also didn't have any sparkling wine. We then asked for the tap beer but it was empty. Then some employee got wind of us looking for something to toast, and he said they would have at the breakfast restaurant, and said he would bring us, no problem, but he never came back and we just sat there 40min with nothing to drink. Bad service for a 5 star hotel.
Three stars because the hotel itself is nice (we were there for a weekend the year before; breakfast and rooms I remember were nice).
Nice, well maintained hotel. Excellent location.
Great hotel
Nice pool especially the part with the sand area.
Great location
And maybe the fastest room service we’ve ever experience (I travel often)
Will return.
It was flawless from start to finish—from the moment I stepped in the door until I left.
The room was spacious and chic, consisting of two areas with modern design elements that made it feel more like an apartment than a hotel room. And the staff was incredible: they went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable!
It was a pleasure to enjoy this hotel and I would definitely recommend it for a business trip or just for a weekend getaway. The hotel is located in a very central area, close to many tourist attractions, like the beach and shopping centers. I found it easy to move around the city thanks to its location.
I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for great service, good facilities, and convenience.
Special thanks to the rooms division manager Ms. Revital, she does a great job solving even minor problems that guests can have. I really appreciated her professional and prudent approach to her work; she is really a dream manager for any hotel chain, a manager to learn from.
Great breakfast and dinner, plenty of options to choose from, a large diversified pool area, wine, soft drinks, and fruits in the room. Whatever you desire, this hotel has this!
My sincere thanks for a perfect stay and I'll definitely be back!
