We spent two nights here for a quick view of Florence. Location was excellent...close to the Santa Maria Novella train station we came in at and all the sights of the Historic Centre were within comfortable walking distance. The staff was friendly and helpful, providing us with a tourist map and pointing out all the highlights we might want to see. Our room 160 was pretty standard but clean, quiet and comfortable. Breakfast had everything we needed...coffee, juice, cereal, fruit, yogurt, pastries, etc. The terrace was nice to sit out and relax on but note that it opens at 9:00 AM and breakfast is 7:30-9:30. It stays open until 9 or 10 but lunch and dinner is not allowed out there. For us, the terrace was under used. Hotel Balcony was expensive relative to other places we stayed in Italy but quite reasonable relative to other options in Florence at the time. We enjoyed our stay.

Our room was very small and definitely dated, but I like that the hotel is family owned and the location is perfect!

No major complaints. It was just average/fine. The air conditioning worked well and it was clean. The room was small and the bathroom was ridiculously tiny. If you are a fat guy like me, you will have a hard time in the bathroom. Location was great

The location of this cute little hotel is perfect. We arrived by train and could store our luggage before the check-in and directly start exploring the historical part of the city that is just around the corner of the hotel. Although it is very central it was quiet at night. The twin room we booked was bright and clean. The owners very friendly and helpful. We stayed there off-season (February/March) and the price was fair.
All in all, I would defintely recommend the hotel if you are thinking about a city trip to Firenze.

For 250 euros you would think this is amazing but it is standard fare. DO NOT GET THEIR 20 euro breakfast “buffet”. It is complete rip off. It’s self serve garbage coffee from the machine, fake cheese (resembles American yellow cheese in packaging), 2-3 day old croissants which were dry and almost hard. Rest is cheap cereal and other packaged goodies. Nothing is fresh. Not even bread. This is criminal for 20 euros. Rooms are average and paper thin walls.

Rude staff. Not helpful at all. Mosquitoes were horrible in the hotel. Breakfast was the worst I’ve experienced. Location is good but doesn’t worth your money. Do not recommend.

Our flight to Florence got cancelled and we had one day delay. Although during this time we kept them updated about everything and when we would arrive and they confirmed that it was okay. While we were in Florence Airport they cancelled our booking as a „no show“. We had a bad day because of the flight complexities and they made it terrible with cancelling the booking. As they cancelled, our chat from booking was deleted and we couldn’t even contact them, neither phone nor chat. We asked booking customer service to contact them and the hotel didn’t even answer them. We had to find another place for our stay in Florence and as it was last minute we did not find a nice choice even for triple the price. By the way they also charged us for the whole booking period.
In a nutshell I don’t think they could do worse.

Great location for the hotel as it is only about 7 to 10 minute walk from the train station.
The room might be outdated but the room was good enough. The bed a pillows were comfortable enough but as a location (base) to get around the city and to go elsewhere is great. I managed to get a room where it looked over onto the balcony.
I am glad I chose this location as it allowed me to get to all the hot spots fairly quickly and early.
