The room was OK, but a little noisy at night; the breakfast was the worst among all the four-star hotels in this European trip; the location was excellent and it was convenient to get a taxi in the morning.

Very retro hotel, located in the center of Florence, 10 minutes walk from Santa Maria Novella train station, behind the hotel is the luxury shopping area, various attractions are interspersed in it, you can go shopping, you can't stop at all. The family room is particularly cost-effective, one door into the 2 rooms can accommodate 5 people, each room has a separate bathroom, clean and hygienic without dead corners. The hotel soundproofing is slightly worse, but the electric curtains are absolutely light-proof. Stayed for 2 nights, the breakfast is very rich and Italian, and the breakfast in the morning is basically European guests. The hotel has been opened in 1958 and should be very popular with Europeans. The only thing I am not used to is that Italian quilts do not use quilt covers, but use sheets directly. I am very worried that the sheets will run away when I turn over in sleep, and I will sleep directly on the quilt. After all, the quilt will not be changed every day, which is a bit uncomfortable.

Very close to the train station, old town, and many restaurants with a beautiful square and market nearby, this location is ideal for people who want to enjoy their holiday in Florence. Close to all the major attractions and quiet at night with blackout curtains, as well as courteous staff, this hotel over delivered. Their breakfast croissant choice alone was staggering, and they catered to all needs. The room itself was comfortable and the blackout curtains were a nice surprise. This picture doesn’t do the room justice, but I was too busy enjoying it to take more. Thanks again!

Disadvantages: The facilities are relatively old, the water in the shower room is not smooth, the toilet smells bad, and the sound insulation is very poor. There are sounds from passing cars on the road, moving chairs upstairs, and people in the corridor. It will not be good to sleep at night.
When I checked in, I asked the front desk how much the minibar would charge. Since there was no price list, I was told that everything except water was charged. After drinking two bottles of drinks, when I checked out, I was told that all drinks were free.

The breakfast was monotonous and there was cake left over from the day before (because it was hard). The location is far from the train station, it is inconvenient to have a suitcase, because there are many stone and brick roads.
