Superb, truly refined in its restraint, well decorated in the place where it is located, from the window of the large room allocated to us there is a breathtaking view of the Arno, crossed by rowing boats, the Ponte Vecchio and the beautiful buildings in the center. The hotel is located in the center of Florence and from it is very easy to walk to Ponte Vecchio, Piazza della Signoria with Palazzo Vecchio and the famous Uffizi Gallery, Duomo (Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore), Piazza Santa Croce, places filled with much unsurpassed beauty artistic and architectural beauties; all within walking distance of Hotel Balestri. The staff is friendly and helpful, always ready to satisfy any needs of the guests. The rooms are spacious, well furnished, and carefully cleaned. Breakfast is excellent and offers a wide choice. Excellent value for money and quality. Absolutely recommended for both location and service.

Ideal location: neither too much in the middle of the noise of one of Italy's most popular cities, nor too far from the main tourist attractions. A point in favor of this hotel, besides its strategic position, is the magnificent view of the Arno, enviable. Very attentive staff, quality bar, beautiful bedrooms. Despite this, the price is not prohibitive

Excellent location on the Arno River. The staff treats you like family. The rooms are well stocked with necessities (even a foam roller). The breakfast was delicious and a nice complementary breakfast. The bartender was very friendly and gave great recommendations.

The absolute smallest, poorly designed room I have ever been in for the price. The shower has one temperature, no control over hotter or colder. There are doors that look like closets, but can't hang up clothes, no rod, about 3 inches wide, but with a light??? Lights are all connected, turn off 1 light and all other lights go off. So why have lights by the bed, if you have to have the overhead lights on to use? The closet, a tiny space for about 5 shirts, light goes on and off just by movement, even when not open, so don't move when sleeping as you are 4 inches away. The balcony is a joke. The pictures make it out to be big, but to get out there you have to move the furniture, because so small. Avoid this hotel at all costs. I booked a double deluxe. It wasn't delux at all. I don't know where the positive reviewers were staying.

Excellent hotel,
We stayed in several hotels in our long stay in Florence and this was one the best ones.
Kudos to Laura for being so attentive and helpful, she has great recommendations. She told us about this outstanding restaurant call La Chicca Boutique restaurant where we had the best meal of our stay.

Had a lovely stay here. Fantastic location and great staff. Room was clean and fresh although a bit small. Great towels!

Probably the best staff at the front desk I have ever had. I kinda felt like a distant cousin in for a visit for the first time. They were thoughtful with recommendations and even asked what we liked and didn’t so they could keep us happy. I liked the location too. Not on a busy street, but a quick walk to all.

Perfect location on the river, we were an easy distance from almost everything! Breakfast was fantastic every morning and we enjoyed the lovely views from our comfortable room. We will be back when next in Florence!
