Being just couple of minutes away we decided to try Demidoff hotel.
We searched on BookingDotcom to check the rates however knowing that the hotel has to pay fees, we thought we'll approach them first to see if they're happy to match the rates (online we've been offered 2x DBL rooms for 100€ each). We've been greeted by a lady wearing pink pyjamas (it takes a lot to surprise me and it's not like I expected a uniform ;) ). When I asked if they would match the online rate offered by a 3rd party, she denied saying that they don't offer rooms at this rate. Not only this - I've been told that if I would proceed with making online reservation, she won't be able to accommodate us and will send us to another hotel (!). Within 5minutes she changed the offered rates on BookingDotcom
The price offered by her was about 14€ more per room, so we decided to stay anyway. It just seemed like really cheap trick to make an extra buck (online rates for a day after where even cheaper).
Rooms were specious but could do with a deep clean (cobwebs in the corners).
Also it's worth mentioning that the lift only goes up to the 4th floor - so if you have lots of luggage, make sure that you don't get a room on the 5th.
It's a shame as this hotel really got potential - night staff were super friendly, design is really cool and chic. But all it takes is one greedy pijama lady to drag it down 👎
Edit - The previous reviews you received before my review clearly shows how you as a hotel need to improve so much before you can allow yourselves to be called a hotel. I have went to multiple hotels all around the world, 3 to 5 stars and I've never seen a service as unprofessional and unhygienic as yours. You really don't need to try to defend yourself by insulting people.
As a client, I have every right to leave a review for horrendous service.
You also intimidated me to remove my review but I didn't and I won't.
P.S. (answer to the response): I am not so free of time to sit and review bad review with no any reasons. My friends came and you said you don't have the reserve room because he got late like 1H because of 2H flight delay. If someone purchasing money to you for the room number, you don't have any right to cancel the reserve. You should keep the reserve during the book days, even the client will not come! So, don't try to make a comment on my review until your booking policy will be changed
There was a lot of misunderstandings because apparently Bounce automatically assigned this service for them without the hotel knowledge. In the end, although I was stressed about the situation, Nicole not only communicated the issues with me but actually helped me solve them without having any responsibility in it. I'm very thankful
I had problems with the invoice, actually with making a correction to the data that was incorrectly entered. At least a second person was able to help me and change the data on the invoice.
DON'T GIVE them your CREDIT CARD number at the front desk!!! They can charge you under any pretext! Here's our story:
The elevator says that it handles up to 4 people max with a total weight of 320 KG. Max 4 people means that 4 people can enter it, but how to weigh them? That's something you can't check anyhow. We entered to the elevator with 4 of us and got stuck in it, for which they charged each of us 80 EUR. After agreement, they made a refund to the wrong people they promised -> to this day I have not received a refund.
The only good thing is the location, but I do not recommend this hotel anyway.
