Ibis Milano Centro

The only reason I opted for this hotel is its accessibility to the Milano Central Station. But I later tried ibis styles milano centro -which is cheaper than this by 30-40%, had better connectivity and much larger rooms.

They upgraded my room on my request - which is good. But, the top most category room is also very very congested. The service was the worst:
I asked for a water kettle - Denied
Asked for hot water in a bowl - Denied
Basic body lotion / moisturiser - not available
Welcome drink - Ordered chocolate mocha - which was bad
As I had 2 nights separate bookings, asked for water bottles on next day - Denied
Any room service - They asked us to walk down to reception to pick anything

One of the worst accor rooms I stayed in. Stay away and prefer Ibis styles if you get it at a discounted price

One star is an overstatement. Filthy, unfriendly, cheating hotel.

First impression - staff was rude. Parking was full and no other option was given. When I asked about parking opposite, it if was safe, the receptionist couldn’t be bothered to answer my questions. I had to drag the answers from her. No connecting rooms, we were told the rooms are next to each other though - but they were not.

Then the room was filthy: long black hair everywhere - in both rooms we booked. Old nail clips on the bathroom floor, hairs on mattress, phone so dirty it was disguising even to call reception, curtains so stained and dirty we used tissues to open them. Shower floor sticky and dirty with grey marks, like an old soap. None of this was sorted

Then we booked two design rooms and got two basic rooms. When I called the reception she said she will verify that in the morning! I asked why not now - I have a photo of the room I am in and the copy of the reservation confirming a different room. She wouldn’t check that! I literally had to go downstairs to argue this. No refund!!! How can you sell a more expensive room, give me the cheapest and refuse to give me back the difference?! She said only manager can do that, but she said manager won’t be able to meet me in the morning as he comes later in a day and wouldn’t tell me when. She refused a refund, but after arguing with me that I only called about the room type after we came from dinner. She blamed me for that! She said “how come you didn’t realised it?” But I did!!!

She could not care less - honestly, not a single viable solution was offered. I was standing there at reception looking at a dusty, sticky computer monitor thinking - this is the first thing people see when they check in, and even that is so filthy, so why would anyone care what’s actually inside the rooms? Awful.

At breakfast - dirty tables (almost every table with ketchup or jam stains, black hair, but with fresh paper mats and cutlery so clearly someone got it ready for guests), dirty shelves. This hotel is simply dirty and there is no other way to describe it.

No air conditioning for two day stay! Was told it was broken for hotel. Room 547. Sleeping difficult. Staff friendly, breakfast delicious. Taxis waiting outside... if you order from front desk, 5.4 euros more.... see photo on entering cab attached. Better to bypass front desk for taxi...
