The location is not great. It takes about 45min to walk into the central parts of Milan. But there are restaurants and supermarkets near the hotel so that was good. The room has no comfort at all unfortunately. The bed is hard (which I prefer actually but I think most people will think it’s too hard), the pillows in the room for the bed are so thin that they are almost non existent, it was like sleeping directly on the mattress. The room was very humid for some reason, all the time, no ventilation what so ever. We had to open a window/balcony to get some air in the room and because of that it became cold in the room. Very bad smell from the bathroom all the time, probably the sewer. Didn’t matter if we flushed water in the sink and shower. To get warm water in the shower you had to flush water for at least 5minutes which felt like a total waste of water. Overall low comfort and the hotel needs some work.
The breakfast was extremely mediocre, and some details stood out, such as the fact that the juice was served in white disposable plastic cups.

I am compelled to address your response, which unfortunately, seems to deflect rather than engage with the core issues we raised. It's concerning that the unpleasant sewage odor in our room is dismissed as a common occurrence, with a simplistic solution that proved ineffective. This issue was specific to our room, distinguishing it from a generalized problem, and your suggestion did not alleviate the discomfort.
Our mention of sharing our experience should not be misconstrued as a threat but seen as a legitimate expression of dissatisfaction from customers facing a genuine issue. It appears that your establishment is more interested in defending its practices than acknowledging and rectifying a clear fault. This approach is disappointing and indicative of a broader disregard for customer experience and feedback.
Asserting that we threatened the hotel in exchange for a refund is a misrepresentation of our intentions. We sought accountability and a resolution commensurate with the discomfort we experienced. Your response, however, has only served to underline a reluctance to engage with customer concerns sincerely and constructively.
The anticipation for our review, as expressed by Seif, is telling of how feedback is perceived by your hotel - not as an opportunity for improvement but as an inconvenience to be countered. This incident has revealed a disappointing aspect of your customer service ethos, and it is a cautionary tale for future guests.
In closing, it's clear that constructive criticism is not valued as it should be at Hotel Golden Milano. We hope this incident prompts a reevaluation of your approach to customer service and feedback management.

The entrance, building and hotel reception area look fancy enough, but when you get to the room, especially to the bathroom, you immediately review that first impression.
First of all, we visited in November, when the temperature outside is not that high anymore - rooms contain a tiny heater which in no way can heat the whole area and the bathroom has no heater at all! It's so ridiculously cold in there, that it takes away any will to have a nice shower after a day of sightseeing. When we talked to the hotel staff about it, they said all rooms have the same heaters and we can get an additional blanket if we want. And the same after that the cleaning staff left a window open in our room... So much for being warm...
Moreover, there is an unmistakable smell of mold that fills up the whole room. There was literally water on the walls of the bathroom in the morning and whatever clothing/towels were left for the night, in the morning was completely damp.
Admittedly, the room was clean and there was daily change of towels etc., but still if you don't heat the space properly, you will never get rid of that mold. Very unhealthy for a longer stay - fortunately we were there for two nights only. Never again.
