Reviews
• The first room we were given clearly smelled of smoke even though the hotel is advertised as non-smoking. Credit where it’s due: the older gentleman at reception was kind and switched the room quickly.
• We also asked him about a late checkout; he said it should be fine but to confirm with the next day’s colleague who handles housekeeping schedules.
The main issues:
• We booked via Amex and weren’t sure if breakfast was included. When we went down to check, staff simply ticked our room numbers without asking anything. At checkout we were charged €15 per person (€60 total) for breakfast. The breakfast itself was 2/10 by Italian standards—far from worth €15 pp based on other Italian hotels we’ve stayed at. The tall, middle-aged woman at the desk during checkout wasn’t friendly; no acknowledgment of the misunderstanding, just “pay, please.”
• Room 2 (the replacement room) initially smelled strongly of chlorine, but that cleared quickly after we opened the window.
• Noise/sleep quality: one room was on a high floor—street noise wasn’t an issue, but the walls were very thin, so we could hear other rooms. The other room was on floor 2 facing the street, and we heard everything outside. Very little sleep. The beds weren’t particularly comfortable either (subjective), but the real problem was poor soundproofing both between rooms and from the street.
• The “luggage storage” isn’t a secure storage at all—bags are left openly in the reception area with no tags, receipts, or locked space. With staff changes, it felt like anyone could walk in and take a bag. Ours were fine, but it didn’t feel professional or safe.
Bottom line: a polite receptionist and quick room change didn’t save the experience. Clearer breakfast communication at check-in, friendlier checkout service, proper tagged/locked luggage storage, and much better soundproofing would have made a big difference. As it stands, we wouldn’t recommend this hotel.
The bed has been the most worse that i have ever sleept in me life ! And the bathroom to small! It was so disapointet stay.
I don't know where to start.
First, when I arrived, I kissed the door and waited in front of at 01:00 am for them to open the hotel for me.
They couldn't find my reservation so it took time.
Then I finally settled down, but unfortunately I didn't sleep all night because of the huge noise. The reason was an aggregate that works all night and you feel as if it is in your room.
On the last day before I went out, I asked if I could check out a little later if they didn't have guests. At the reception, the girl told me that it might not be a problem because they don't have guests.
When I checked out at the reception, they charged me 77 eur for late checkout, and the whole hotel cost me 170 eur.
The man at the front desk who introduced himself as the manager was extremely hostile.
HORRIBLE experience. I do not recommend this hotel.
The air conditioning didn’t work. The in-room safe was broken. The beds were by far the most uncomfortable I have ever slept in – almost impossible to get any rest.
The windows did nothing to block out the constant noise from the heavy traffic outside, making it even worse. The bathroom was worn out and badly in need of renovation.
Overall, this hotel feels neglected and outdated. I will definitely not be coming back, and I would not recommend it to anyone expecting even basic four-star standards.
That guy took me my wife and our three boys in after a shocking night in Milan where the other hotel we booked for staying never answered our calls and by midnight we had nowhere to sleep. I called the was waiting for us to take us in an.we spent the night there shower ate and everything. I will never forget that hotel and the kindness of that man
Thank you is. Not enough
There is a delicious ice cream shop opposite
Additionally, I couldn’t shower properly because the bathroom was so cramped. I’m a size 14/16, and I kept hitting the walls. Considering how expensive this hotel is, it’s not worth the price.
I asked to change rooms, but the staff was unsympathetic and told me there was no other option, despite the fact that the room is extremely quiet. There's is no bar as advertised on the hotel website, totally misleading customers. They have a mini fridge & I only used water should be €2 but he charged me €3 & said that's the price. Despite on the menu showing €2. I couldn't bother so I paid the €3 as I wanted to get out. I highly recommend booking elsewhere to save your money for better service and rooms that at least provide tea/coffee, unlike King Mokina Hotel. I’m extremely disappointed and can’t wait to leave.
