I rarely write bad reviews, but this hotel was a complete disappointment. As we arrived early, we were informed that an early check-in fee of £40 applied. To make matters worse, the air conditioning didn’t turn on until 8pm. We explained our room was west-facing and too warm on a 27°C day, but they wouldn’t budge even after confirming this with the reception.

When we returned home later that night, the air conditioning wouldn’t turn on AGAIN (past 8pm). When I called the reception helpline, I was told to open the windows as the AC was on standby mode. However, our room faces the traffic, and this is simply unacceptable for a hotel to suggest. As a result, we were disturbed by noises from night buses, cars, and mosquitoes and didn’t get a good night’s sleep.

Edit: You can’t advertise as having air conditioning if the guests have no control over when they wish to use it, and it’s dysfunctional most of the time.

Unfortunately I found a bed bug in my room and so did another colleague in another room. The cleaning staff was very helpful and attentive sanitising all my personal belongings one by one, but I can't say the same about the receptionists. I wish I could have avoided this experience altogether and I really hope this bedbug adventure will just end here.

I recently stayed at this hotel during my trip to Milan, and while the staff were friendly and welcoming, unfortunately, several other aspects of my stay were disappointing.

I have never slept as badly as during my stay at this hotel. Firstly, the noise level was a serious issue. The hotel's location near a busy metro line and a main street meant constant street noise throughout the day and night. This is not restricted to the audible frequency range. I could feel the rumble of low frequency noise of the Metro — even in the 2nd floor.

To make matters worse, the walls were incredibly thin — I was often woken up by the sound of my neighbor snoring in the next room, which added to the overall disturbance.

If you're a light sleeper or value quiet, this may not be the best option for you.

Additionally, the breakfast offered was underwhelming. While the selection was okay, the quality didn’t match the expectations for a hotel in this price range.

My colleagues stayed in various hotels nearby which allows for a relative comparison. While some reported similar issues which seem to systematic in this area of the city (like isolation of walls or general quality of construction of buildings), other issues such as the amount of noise were specifically pronounced in this hotel.

Considering all of the above, paying a price tag of up to 310€ per night feels completely unjustified.
