We stayed here in two "Superior" rooms on our week-long visit to Rome and could not be happier. The hotel is beautiful, keeping many of the key historic elements of this family palace (the crest on the ceiling is the family crest!) while combining it with many modern touches and a clean aesthetic. The staff is ultra helpful, and the included breakfast is simple, elegant, and delicious. And the hotel is so close to many of the sites you will want to visit -- Pantheon is about 5-6 min walk; Trevi fountain is about 10 min. After a hot summer day of walking around Rome, coming to your cool room with all the comforts is a nice way to end the day. They hotel has a coffee/tea station on all floors where you can self serve any time of day/night. It's a lovely place -- A++. I would go back in a heartbeat.

Be careful, and don’t waste your money.
The worker are stealing people’s money especially the hotel manager “enrique”
The room is very small with a very bad smell
The cleanliness is ZERO
Don’t let them order taxi for you, they will steal your money with extra fees.

We are in Rome very often but this was a first time we’ve booked this hotel. We didn’t realised it was a boutique hotel in a huge building until we arrived. We’ve seen the frescoes on the website pictures but we couldn’t imagine how breathtaking they actually were.
Special thanks to Romana, she was so kind and lovely with us.

The hotel is placed in an old building with beautiful frescoes. The rooms are small but essential and very silent. Special thanks to Romana who made my grand parents feel like home.

My stay at Hotel Dei Barbieri was wonderful.
The room and location was amazing, but the service was for sure the best. Very professional! Especially Romana, she was wonderful, she helped with everything from recommending restaurants to shopping etc.
Always with a smile! She for sure made my trip so much easier!
In general I don’t have anything to put a finger on!

This hotel was incredible. The location is the most central location. Located close to the trasteverre and coral como where all the shopping is. The rooms are so big and spacious. The hotel staff were super sweet and helpful with all of our needs.

We had an amazing stay at Hoel dei Barbieri! Romana was fantastic! She was so helpful and friendly. Upon arrival she gave us information about the area and recommended restaurants and activities!

Excellent and helpful service, the rooms were great. Located in an extremely convenient location to see all the main sights. Really enjoyed our time here, would highly recommend.

Save yourself; do not go there. The rooms may seem to be nice, but you can hear everything from every other room. We were kept up at night because of the noise, especially snoring, from people next door. We went down to the reception at 1am and were told that nothing could be done and they did not even have earplugs. Many utilities in our room were not functioning and despise us continuously asking for them to be fixed, nothing followed. We even had to wait three days for an extra blanket and even then we were provided with a twin size light comforter for a queen size bed. You cannot complain about the service since there isn’t any. Extremely disappointed, especially for the amount of money that was paid for that. We always felt as though we were not treated seriously.

I am giving this hotel two stars because the staff was very nice and accommodating. Everything else was really bad. Our first room was so uncomfortable. We felt like we were in a shoe box. We had told the receptionist that we would like a room change and they did it for us. The second room wasn’t terrible but it wasn’t comfortable. The birds are annoying in the morning (not hotels fault just an FYI) it’s not dark in the room because of the ceiling it had a window to the hallway. The shower wasn’t in the bathroom and there was no privacy while showering. The hotel didn’t give me 4 star vibes.
