Reviews
Staff is very helpful and supportive. I really liked them.
Breakfast was not too good. I could be better.
Location is quiet good.
Once he got off the phone, he took the key from the guy that cut in line and just threw it behind him on the shelf. The elderly couple was English and tried to speak Italian to the man and apparently asked him "what is a good pizza place to go to?" You can tell the receptionist was annoyed as he said there is one across the street. When the couple asked if it was good. The guy just said yes. Then the couple pushed harder and asked are there others you would suggest? The guy said there is one to the right and one to the left and one across. You can tell he was annoyed and just didn't care to help the couple.
So that's our initial impression of the hotel! As we walked up to the counter, we told him we needed to check in. He asked us for our voucher, luckily we printed it everything from out trip that included 6 other hotel vouchers printed front and back. We showed him the voucher and he just ripped it out, keep in mind it's printed front and back so there is info on the other side we needed. He used it to figure out the name of the reservation, which he could have asked us but I'm assuming he probably did that b/c it was easier due to the language barrier. He handed us our key and that was that. No smile, no thank you, nothing.
My wife and I would walk to the further elevator and around the corner to try to avoid him b/c of how unfriendly he was every time we entered/left the hotel.
The rooms are what you would expect in a 2 star hotel. There was a piece of paper saying it was a 4 star and that is how they charged for the taxes, which IT IS NOT. There was nothing special about the room and you can hear lots of noise from the busy street as I mentioned earlier. Lots of shoe marks on the wall next to the bed, small room, and old. Bathroom is small and what you expect in a lot of European hotels.
On one occasion in the morning coming down our elevator, we wanted to step outside to see what the weather was like before breakfast. The same receptionist was outside talking to someone in Italian and there was a double door that he was holding open one of 2 doors. I wanted to avoid him so I opened the other door and he was not very happy that I did that, he didn't say anything to me but as I turned back in to head to breakfast, he was visually upset that I opened that door as he pushed it back to shut it.
The included breakfast was uninspiring. Some bread, some ham, cheeses, cereal.
Typical European buffet breakfast. The lady working down there was working very hard to refill food, clean up tables and reset tables. The meal was included so I wasn't expecting much anyways.
I would have gave this a 2 star but the receptionist made it a 1 based on his horrible customer service. I would not stay here again.
