We really enjoyed staying at River Cheteau Hotel during our vacation in Rome. The decor is very pretty with marbled floors in the hallways and in the room’s bathroom. The beds were comfortable and the room was quiet. The breakfast had a good variety of fresh fruit and cheese and their cappuccino was amazing. There are direct bus lines that run from the hotel to the Colosseum and Vatican. It would be great if the hotel got an ice machine but the staff was super nice and gave us free ice from the bar :)

I just had the pleasure of staying at the River Chateau Hotel in the Ponte Milvio part of Rome for the first time. I had a great experience at the hotel which was lovely and the service exceeded my expectations. The surrounding area is charming with a few good restaurants, cafes, bars and a great gelateria/pastry shop. The hotel is about a 15-minute walk to a wonderful little shopping area and a quick ride by Taxi into the center of Rome. I will definitely stay at the River Chateau again on a future trip to Rome.

We had a wonderful time there. The staff was amazing, all of them from desk to dining & bar. Called and had what I needed in minutes. This will be my hotel when I go to Rome, cannot wait to go back again. Great restaurants in walking distance, Christmas decorations were adorable. They exceed our expectations.

Booked a room here via Expedia on November 12th for business, even communicated with them on what type of room I wanted. Then I wake up on November 23rd (2 days before I was set to leave for Europe) saying that my room was cancelled. No explanation and when I checked to rebook- the hotel was fully booked. Unacceptable and completely unprofessional.

My family and I stayed here for 2 nights while in Rome. The hotel is absolutely beautiful and it is very clean. It is in a very gorgeous part of the city that has multiple bars, restaurants, and cafés in walking distance. The street is shaded with beautiful trees make the temperature perfect in mid-June. The hotel is a good 30-minute taxi rider from big attractions like the Vatican, Pantheon, and Colosseum. But honestly, after visiting those sites, the areas aren't as nice as the area the hotel is in. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Nice hotel with good service, location is excellent if you visit Stadio Olimpico, very expensive parking.

We were a family traveling with 2 kids.

Location: Hotel is a little far from the center. No Metros and the bus stop was also a little bit far. therefore, we used only cabs during our stay which made it a little restrictive for us moving to and fro the center at our convenience due to the hassles while booking and the cost. We had issues getting cabs in the morning.

Staff: Staff was very welcoming and nice. No issues there.
Breakfast: small spread and we didn't enjoy whatever was there on offer either. You can order eggs but will need to pay extra.

In summary, better to stay in the center if you are in Rome for touristy stuff.
