My family and I stayed here for 2 nights while in Rome. The hotel is absolutely beautiful and it is very clean. It is in a very gorgeous part of the city that has multiple bars, restaurants, and cafés in walking distance. The street is shaded with beautiful trees make the temperature perfect in mid-June. The hotel is a good 30-minute taxi rider from big attractions like the Vatican, Pantheon, and Colosseum. But honestly, after visiting those sites, the areas aren't as nice as the area the hotel is in. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Nice hotel with good service, location is excellent if you visit Stadio Olimpico, very expensive parking.

We were a family traveling with 2 kids.

Location: Hotel is a little far from the center. No Metros and the bus stop was also a little bit far. therefore, we used only cabs during our stay which made it a little restrictive for us moving to and fro the center at our convenience due to the hassles while booking and the cost. We had issues getting cabs in the morning.

Staff: Staff was very welcoming and nice. No issues there.
Breakfast: small spread and we didn't enjoy whatever was there on offer either. You can order eggs but will need to pay extra.

In summary, better to stay in the center if you are in Rome for touristy stuff.

The main assets of River Chateau are the staff, location and cleanliness.
Staff - friendly and helpful. The young gentleman in charge of breakfast, in particular, made every morning a pleasant start of the day with his friendliness and professionalism.
Room - I stayed in one of the single rooms in the semi-basement, so the room had no view and was rather small, but both the room and the bathroom were well-furnished and clean (I actually think there was cleaning service not once, but twice a day), which was all I needed for my stay.
Location - not in the centre proper but within reach. The neighbourhood itself had several nice places to eat and hang out.

Perfect hotel for sports fans.
The hotel is situated a fifteen minute walk from the Stadio Olimpico, which passes all the local restaurants and bars. The staff are all very accomodating, all speak excellent English (which makes me regret not learning Italian)
The rooms are all furnished impeccably, with wonderful bathrooms and amenities.
I cannot find fault at all, if you are visiting Rome, especially for the rugby, I would recommend you choose the River Chateau

Very usual hotel.
Nothing special. Just a place to stay nothing joyful.
Breakfast served poorly and there wasn't any option to exclude its cost from the rate of rooms.

Wondeful hotel with an amazing friendly staff. Some reviews I have seen say that this hotel is a little inconvenient. That's not really true. The bus stop is only two blocks away, and it's very easy to take the bus to the nearest subway (Metra) station. from there you have access to the center of Rome and all its attractions. The continental breakfast is wonderful and the rooms are very nice and extremely clean. The front desk staff is not only helpful and friendly, but speaks english very well too. I would most definately recommend this hotel for a stay in Rome.

Fine hotel close to ponte Milvio and lots of restaurants and bars. Bit old style with marble baroque type bathroom, but well maintained

Great place. Stayed here 3years ago. Going to Lazio v Celtic tomorrow. Olympic Stadio not far from here. Showed my Sister where we stayed. HH
