Hotel Slovenska Plaža

We arrived at the hotel and they said our room wasn’t ready, so we waited for an hour and went to check again. Then they said they didn’t even have a room booked for us and that now they found a room and was getting it ready, that took another hour. The walk from reception to the rooms is ridiculous, it is so far and unsafe of a night, you have to walk through a park to get to the rooms, restaurant or pool, at night time this is obviously dark. There’s constantly construction going on, so isn’t relaxing at all. The wifi in the room didn’t work once, we had to go to reception just to contact our family every morning and night. We asked for new towels as ours didn’t get changed, and they gave us incredibly dirty ones. The breakfast was mid, it’s labelled all wrong too so if you have allergies please be mindful. Finally, there is groups and groups of kids from school trips turning up, we had little kids running around, screaming and knocking on our door at 12am. There was no room service but the staff would come in and open the windows, this must have let mosquitos in as we were covered, once we came home my friend had to jump on antibiotics as she got an infected bite which made her leg discolour and swell. Some staff are quite rude, however some are nice and polite, an american staff member gave us really good recommendations. The beds were also comfy too, therefore two stars.

The worst experience ever!

The rooms are very dirty. In 10 days, they never changed our bed linens even once! Walking past the rooms, we saw how the cleaning staff were cleaning rooms with towels that people use in the shower, which probably explains why all the towels are stained! The air conditioner was broken, and we asked them three times to fix it. The pool is a whole other story—grass is growing at the bottom! It's all slippery. For this price, you could rent an apartment in Montenegro, and it would even be cheaper. We don’t recommend this place to anyone!

The rooms were a long way from the restaurant and from reception. The rooms were not very clean, although the bed was comfortable. The 'cleaners' opened the windows each day and as a result there were many hungry mosquitoes in the room which caused much discomfort at night. The meals were poor.

We went all inclusive expecting the whole hotel to be the same however it wasn’t as everyone was on different board levels. We had one restaurant and the pool bar as all inclusive. Often in the pool bar outside there was me, my husband and the bartender. All the other bars and restaurants were out of bounds We had to get our own ice from an adjacent restaurant and there was no milk and no effort to get any was made despite us being there 10 days. Check in was chaos. Can’t check in till 1. There was 100 people waiting despite reception staff having nothing to do up till then. We expected a room with a balcony but because we hadn’t “specified” it wasnt included so we had a window only. We asked to change and pay extra but got a flat “NO.” The bedding wasn’t changed for the whole time we were there. The only things that were changed was the towels. No kettle or tea in the room and no water. “Loungers” around the pool were deck chairs and of the 2 pools 1 was often out of service. The only thing that was decent was the food although it got repetitive. Lots of soup and cabbage. The hotel was not on the beach which was very busy but close to the centre to walk in on an evening. Sunbeds were expensive to hire. Parking on site was 10 euros a day so we found another car park near for half price as we hired a car for 3 days and visited Kotor, Tivat and nearby lakes which was amazing. Montenegro is a stunning place but the hotel was not.
