D'Resort @ Downtown East

Ordered a room for my 25th birthday. Concierge service was fast and good, and I'm glad for the barbecue pit as well. However there was a weird smell in the room, and the toilet seat was broken. Its nice in general but I don't think I should have paid $400 for the room. Not value for money

Avoid this place if possible. The water slides and entertainment is awesome but accommodation is below standard. Worse experience I had, even comparing to resorts in Bali.

Rooms are big but dirty. Walls had many marks. I was asked to sign not to decorate the room and yet I see so many rooms had been decorated for birthdays and other celebrations by the guests. Insects in the rooms, mould, loose toilet seats and tissue holders. From the first day, the room was provided with bath towels and hand towels but on the fifth day of the stay I was told hand towels not provided in the Mangrove Walk type rooms.

The major failure is the layout design of the resort and noise!
To get to the connected mall from the resort, visitor had to walk about approx 500m -600m around the resort as the water park is in the middle of the resort. There was no shorter route for anyone staying in Mangrove walk type room. They could have a shorter route by having another bridge over the water park to get to the connected mall.

Even if you insist on staying here, avoid Friday - Sunday as resort noise policy is not in operation. We could hear other hotel guest screaming, singing and yelling throughout the morning starting from 11pm right up to 7 am.

Transportation is difficult! Not many taxi drivers know this place hence hard to get a taxi. Use Grab to get taxi here to make your life easier.

Will we return? No way.
