The hotel lobby looks grand with the glass elevators hence gives an impressive impression for first timers.
The room size is spacious and clean, with a big size working desk, perfect for in-room dining or working. Toilet design is dated but all amenities are given and is sparkling clean, so is pretty acceptable. The king size bed is large and comes with a pair of pillows of choice - soft and firm.
Breakfast wise, personally think that it could be better with more breakfast spread.
Service, I think its a 50/50, met some with great smiles and good hospitality and 1 or 2 with zero smiles and wave me off when asking for assistance, which I think was a let down.

We stayed at the hotel for 2 nights as part of our cruise package before returning to London. The hotel was in a great location 5 minutes Walk to the entrance of the MRT station. The building looked good from the outside kids were excited. After a long trip, we were exhausted and couldn't wait to go to the room, Unfortunately, we had to wait 3 hours at the lobby (we arrived at 11:30 and waited until 3) I found it too long of a wait especially when kids are present (Apparently, international check-in is after 3 o'clock). After finally being assigned to our rooms the rooms stunk mould or musty that we could stand being in the room any longer we had a hard time breathing. I complained to the reception and asked if they could change us to another room and they refused. The next day while at the reception enquiring about sightseeing the fire drill went off all the staff members left the building leaving us at the front desk. We didn't know what to do but stood there bewildered and panicking as our kids were in their rooms. The hotel duty supervisor (man) was rude when asked questions about anything. The only good thing at the The hotel was Breakfast and service. I wouldn't recommend the hotel as it smells bad. Thank God we stayed only 2 nights.

The room was old and smelled musty.
In the hotel lobby, the air conditioning was too loud, to the point where you couldn't sit for more than two minutes.
The breakfast options were many and delicious.
It is also located next to a metro station.
The cleanliness in the room was at least adequate.

Because it is an old hotel, it cannot be compared to a recently built hotel. But the round structure and the interior view elevator, which is hard to find in hotels these days, is enough to feel vintage. I arrived in Singapore early in the morning, left my luggage at the hotel, and I was going to start my schedule, but the staff in charge allowed me to check in early, so I was able to start my schedule comfortably. (Thank you.) The location is a little ambiguous, but the subway connection was convenient, so there was no big inconvenience. If you want a big room for the price, I recommend this place.

Great location. 1 minute walk to the entrance of MRT station. The building may be a little old and a little smelly when going into the room, but it was clean, and after turning on the air conditioning, everything is fine.
Front desk staff was very nice and helpful. It’s definitely a good and cost effective hotel for family stays.

+ Breakfast dpread for vegetarians, especially Indian tourists vould have been better, since a large proportion of tourists staying here are from India

Xi'an restaurant very good. Recommend the stir fried ice cream. Impressive lobby. Swimming pool on the 6th floor. Stayed there 4 years ago and breakfast was much better, with a fantastic selection of exotic fruits. That got worse. Rather expensive. Beer particularly overpriced- but that is the case in Singapore in general.

I went to attend a wedding banquet. The hotel is relatively accessible with bus which can connect to train stations in just a few stops. The Chinese banquet food was fine and the service is good with the waiters/waitress quite attentive. The dirtied plates got changed every couple of dishes. The AV system is good during the playing of videos from the married couple. However when the banquet ended around 10.45pm, there is a long queue for the lifts which are usually filled as there are other banquets too. We decided to take the escalator but then these are turned off/not working and we have to make out way down slowly, especially for those elderly ladies. The hotel should ensure the lifts are working till the banquet halls are cleared.

Dinner buffet was simply okay, nothing great. For the price, I'd rather top up and have a nice Sunday brunch somewhere else. Service wise, staff were attentive. It was just a pleasant experience.

My relatives stayed for three days at this hotel. They told me that the hotel was good. Breakfast served is quite enjoyable and healthy. However they don't serve Indian food.
