The Seacare Hotel

I stayed here for 6 nights in May 2023. Having stayed at multiple hotels, I can assure you that this definitely does not qualify for 4 -stars based on the following:
1) No swimming pool and Gym is tiny (has like 5 equipment)
2) Towels smell funny and were of cheap quality
3) The AC unit will turn off randomly even though the card is inserted
4) Very strict "No durians policy" or risk $100 fine (even MRTs don't fine you like this). In fact, upon checking in I was made to "finish my durian" at a corner of the hotel like a homeless individual
5) Although location is central, getting around and to this hotel is inconvenient as nearest MRT is 10 min walk
6) There is karaoke almost every evening which makes it seem like a sleazy hotel
7) The hotel and rooms were all tiny

This hotel isn't all that great. Room was tiny and not so clean. Even the bathroom here had a squashed mosquito on the wall. A bit over priced for what it has to offer. They wouldn't refill any tea/coffee supply in the room. They wouldn't give more than 2 water bottles per day. The service was really slow for everything. It seemed like the hotel didn't have enough staff either. One security guy seemed to be doing everything from opening the main door, to taking people's luggage to supplying items in the room. I had to carry all my bags, find the room and get in all by myself. Nobody walked me to it or helped with my bags. Only two elevators in the hotel. It doesn't have a pool. The sky bar was closed. There's a sky terrace on the 10th floor with seats in the open but isn't that great and was also closed. The hotel has two Towers and the taller tower has 16 floors. It's not too far from main attractions but has no nice views from the room. The walls are paper thin and you can hear just about everything on the road to everything from neighbouring rooms. The refrigerator in the room was empty. It wasn't cold at all and was smelling terribly bad. The bathrooms have big bottles of shower gel and shampoo that future guests will continue to use until empty. There is dental kit, sewing kit and soap available in the bathroom. The toothpaste is so tiny that it'll barely last once per usage. Bathroom was tiny too and only has an overhead shower. There is also a hair dryer in tho bathroom which is decent. The toilet inside the bathroom is accompanied by toilet paper, bidet and a sanitizer dispenser.
