Oasia Resort Sentosa by Far East Hospitality

This hotel is just beside the monorail station. It is an affordable hotel in Sentosa and you can easily access universal studios and the beaches and places in Sentosa. There are bathtub, pool, and a gym. This is my second stay in this hotel.

Overall a nice stay, room is large and cosy, but housekeeping didn’t show up after the first night until we called to get them to clean our room (we did indicate to make up room when we left at 10am). Room was not made up when we returned at 5pm. Pool is small. Location is great, within 10 mins of casual walking to USS, 3 mins to the nearest monorail station. No buffet breakfast available so we didn’t opt for breakfast but I’ve heard good reviews for their sets.

A very pleasant stay at Oasia Resort Sentosa! The room is spacious and the bathroom is well planned. The breakfast set meal at the Hotel’s Bedrock restaurant is nice and the ambience in the restaurant is wonderful. The hotel and restaurant staff are very friendly and helpful. The hotel is just opposite the Imbiah station (Sentosa Express Monorail). There is a 7-Eleven shop at the Imbiah station.
It is very convenient to go to the Sentosa beach and VivoCity shopping mall too.

The hotel is conveniently located right across from the MRT station, making it just one stop to Universal Studios and two stops to Vivocity.

While check-in was stated as 3 PM, our room wasn't ready until well past 5 PM, which made the process quite inefficient.

The overhead shower was uncomfortable, and the lack of a handheld showerhead was quite inconvenient.

For families with children visiting Sentosa, a location close to the MRT station is a top priority. This hotel is perfectly situated, directly opposite the MRT station and less than a 5-minute walk away, which is incredibly convenient. There were staff members at the front desk who spoke Chinese, which was a nice touch. But if you're up for it, it's also a good chance to practice your English! The room provided two glass bottles of drinking water, and the complimentary coconut drink from the minibar on the first day was really delicious. The room size was quite adequate, though it might be a bit challenging to maneuver if you have two large suitcases.

The hotel room is so spacious comparing with the one in the city. The staff is polite and helpful. He gave us a lot of good suggestions.

## Facilities
The hotel's biggest selling point is its incredibly convenient location. Step out of the main entrance, go down a few steps, cross the road, and you're right at the MRT station.

The room wasn't huge, but by Singapore standards, it was a decent size. Having a sofa bed was a big plus. Amenities included a hot water dispenser, a capsule coffee machine, and a double vanity. The tap water was also potable.

## Environment
The swimming pool was on the smaller side, and there weren't many other recreational facilities. It also lacked its own green space or garden. At check-in, I requested a room with a nice view and was given one with a decent outlook, showing both the MRT and cable cars. The room also had a ceiling fan, and with the afternoon sun shining in, our laundry dried remarkably fast.

## Service
The bellhops were excellent, always quick to help with luggage – a definite plus compared to some other hotels. Check-in offered Chinese language service.

I accidentally left my phone in a taxi. When I approached a staff member in the lobby, he immediately sprang into action, helping me figure out how to contact the ride-hailing platform. My phone was recovered very quickly. This deserves high praise.

The only slight downside was that we couldn't get a late check-out due to the hotel being fully booked, so we checked out promptly at 11:45 AM. Since we planned to visit the water park afterward, I specifically called ahead to inquire about shower facilities. I was told they were available by the pool. I even double-checked if shampoo and shower gel would be provided, and was assured they would be.

However, upon returning from the water park, I found that while there were indeed showers by the pool, it was an open, public area with just two or three showerheads facing the pool, clearly intended only for a quick rinse. And to my dismay, there was no shampoo, no shower gel, let alone conditioner! So, I just did a quick rinse and had to discreetly change in a nearby restroom.

From 12:30 PM that day, with my hair still wet and feeling stiff, and my skin growing increasingly dry and rough, I embarked on a long journey: from Sentosa Island to Changi Airport, a flight to Penang, Malaysia, a lengthy immigration queue, and finally settling into our Penang hotel. It was well past 10 PM before I could finally take a proper, satisfying shower.

Aside from that one unfortunate experience, everything else was quite good. The two complimentary cans of coconut water were delicious, complete with soft coconut pulp. We also received two large bottles of water and two small snack packs daily.

The hotel facilities are brand new, the bathroom is spacious and clean, and the king-sized bed with an additional single bed in the room was perfectly sufficient for us. The location is incredibly convenient, being directly opposite Imbiah MRT Station. It's also just a 5-minute walk to the go-kart track at Palawan Beach. The service was excellent as well; we requested an extra bed during check-in, and it was promptly delivered right after we got to our room.

The location and exterior are good, but the room's amenities are quite dated. The bathroom door wouldn't shut properly, and showering on a hot day was a nightmare as the air conditioning from the main room would blast directly into the bathroom. Despite clearly booking for three people, only two bath towels were provided after each room cleaning. Soundproofing was virtually non-existent; conversations from outside the door were crystal clear. To make matters worse, my assigned floor was right next to a public area. Overall, the location is very convenient for Universal Studios and the Skyline Luge. However, for guests traveling from afar, the service truly needs improvement. While the hotel's age is understandable, prompt and necessary maintenance is crucial. They should also pay more attention to basic amenities like bath towels and slippers.
