+ The hotel is perfectly located in Chinatown, within walking distance of two metro stations and many Michelin-starred cafes and restaurants. It's quiet, despite being next to a construction site, and feels cozy, welcoming, and friendly.

+ Breakfast is à la carte, with 4 sections, served from 7 AM to 11 AM. It's fast, tasty, and sufficient.
+ The room has everything necessary: an ironing board, TV, minibar (200 SGD deposit), and toiletries.
- The room is very small; there's no space to move around or work, making you constantly want to leave.
- There's a window, but no view, as it looks out onto the green protective wall of the construction site.
- There's a very stuffy smell, quite similar to what you might find in hotels in India.

The room was indeed too small, but the service and location were both excellent.

The service was very warm and they proactively helped with luggage. However, the bathroom lighting was a bit dim.

Quite interesting hotel.
I booked the small room this time because I rarely travel alone, and don't get to stay in this type of rooms. The room was very small, but not shabby. The bed was very comfortable. Bathroom was not small, and water pressure was good. It was perfect for a girl's night alone - comfortable, safe, in style.
When I went down for breakfast, I didn't realize the room door was left open a bit. You need to really pull it hard to get it locked. I panicked for a moment when I came back, but nothing was missing.
Overall the hotel's ambiance is quite unique, luxurious and charming. I liked it!

- Very classic design
- More 4-star service which is not the Marriott standard with certain staffs with comment such as the booking was made through Agoda/ trip.com which is lower price, which I find unprofessional. Customer should be given the same service regardless of where the booking is made
- **TINY BED. The 2 pillows given were identical with no selection of high/ low pillows - not supportive. The Mattress is the harder Asian liking type, which together is the big no for me.

Overall was very nice. There was a construction next to the hotel. The noise was loud and disturbing the peacefulness.

A colonial style heritage hotel with a unique aesthetic charm. Room is tastefully decorated and comfortable. Requested for a quiet room, after reading about construction noise from other reviewers. Didn’t hear any of such noise during my stay. My room however was next to a housekeeping room, with the housekeeping trolley parked right outside. I would often hear the chatter of the housekeeping staff right outside, or the sounds of them taking or shifting things. I suppose a room away from the housekeeping room will provide a more peaceful experience. Nonetheless, it was overall a pleasant stay. Front counter lady was polite and friendly.

I HAVE NEVER STAYED IN A HOTEL AT SINGAPORE THAT DOESN'T CHASE ME OUT FOR CHECK OUT, THE ONLY THAT ALLOW ME UNTIL 4PM CHECK OUT IS ALEXANDRA HOTEL WHICH IS NOW A CHANGED BRAND NAME HOTEL, THIS HOTEL IS THE ONLY SECOND ONE I REQUEST FOR 1PM CHECK OUT BUT THE BED IS TOO COMFORT TO BE AWAKE AND I SLEPT ALL THE WAY TO 2PM YET THEY NEVER CHARGE OR BLAME ME😍😍 😳THANKS GOD FOR LETTING MY DREAM COME TRUE, THIS PLACE IS REAL GOOD. THE BREAKFAST OH MY GOD IS HEAVEN, PAY BACK GOV THE GST VOUCHER BY SUPPORT BACK IT TOURISM, GOOD THING I THINK.
