Metropole Mini-hotel

I quite regret my 3 nights booking here.
At first, all the ads and photos are good and tempting and that also the first impression you will got when you entered the lobby and the room.
This hotel will give a classical vibes and some corners are nice to take a photo.

But, honestly I can’t stay any longer in that hotel room. My room is on 3rd floor, and the reception guy told me that my room’s wing is just finished being renovated, so I expect the nice room.

But after few minutes inspecting the room, the conclusion is room are very out dated and what do you mean just renovated?? Torn wallpapers, floor joiners are cracking and uneven, there is a broken bulb light, ugly bathroom door, torn wood hangers, provide a microwave but not provide cutlery and dinnerware (so how I use the microwave?), provide one tiny bottle of each shampoo and body soap (hello! how can it be? how about 2 people taking shower twice a day?), old and not many varieties in TV program. And the worst part is a very loud and noisy sound from the traffic in front!! The room is not sound proof!

And one thing that pissed me off is the security at hotel lobby. Not very helpful with customer’s luggages. He just there, standing and watching and playing his phone. Not even care if the hotel’s customer are having difficulties with luggages.

The pros from this hotel are : reception guy (the young one) is very accommodating and nice, the location very near to Thonglor Pier to take the boat, automated toilet bowl, there is a washing machine in the room.

House keeping never clean the room unless you ask. Many white trash people were staying there with a lot of noise till 2 am. The girl at the reception was super mean: she said that I will be charged for keeping my luggage for few days. Breakfast average. Lobby looks ok but the rooms smell like cigarettes.

The bed had bed bugs and the room wasn't cleaned properly. The pool was in maintenance and wasn't informed earlier.
